It has some good episodes too.

For Angel...I would give 7 for all 5 seasons and a 6 for season 6 comic version. Not that I don't like the spin off, I just like BtVS more.

Buffy

Season 1: 4/10
Why: Low production values, low episode count, average storytelling but still somewhat interesting.

Season 2: 6/10
Why: Lower production values, but the storytelling picks up in a big way. Too many episodic episodes however. 3rd best season finale in the Buffyverse.

Season 3: 7/10
Why: Another step up from the last year; increased production values, the writing takes it in high-gear and much less "filler" feeling on repeat viewings (something the previous seasons had been lacking).

Season 4: 3/10
Why: A step in the completely wrong direction. Introduction of a poor story arc, introduction of characters that detracted from the show. Some choice episodes (Hush, Primeval, Restless) do hold some merit however, but overall just downright lame. Also had 3 episodes by a writer who simply had no feel for the characters whatsoever.

Season 5: 9/10
Why: Taking it into high gear in comparison to the previous season. Proved that Buffy still had plenty of story to tell. Great overall story arc and villain, cool new characters, epic stories to be told. Best episodes include The Body, The Gift, Fool for Love, Spiral, Tough Love. Only two episodes really felt like they missed the 'beat' of the season (Triangle, Into the Woods). Best season finale in the whole verse.

Season 6: 10/10
Why: I don't get why fans have such a mixed reaction to this season. It takes Buffy out of it's cozy, safe place, and takes it to the best possible place to develop the characters even further. Not one episode in the season feels like it's on a different 'beat' either, with the possible exception of 'Smashed'. Best episodes include Once More with Feeling, Tabula Rasa, Hell's Bells, Gone, Normal Again, Entropy, Seeing Red, Villains and Two to Go. Second best season finale in the Buffyverse.

Season 7: 6/10
Why: First half of the season feels right on the mark. However, the second half with the Potentials feels just too stretched; it's so hard to connect with the characters by the end. Cool villains, decent story, but felt like two steps back. For the series finale, it could have been a little bit better.

Comics Season 8: 3/10
Why: The season isn't done, but it doesn't feel like I'm gaining anything by reading the comics. Other then losing respect for characters I grew to love. 3/10 for re-invigorating a dead franchise, but poor storytelling, total disrespect to the canon time and time again, medicore artwork. Also the most disappointing aspect: The most engaging parts of the story are pushed to the side because they "aren't important to the main storyline". Man, this just isn't 'Buffy.'

Angel

Season 1: 5/10
Why: Interesting premise, lower budget, waaay too many episodes spent episodic. Picks up around 2/3rds in. Good first season.

Season 2: 7/10
Why: While the first half I dislike (if it had simply been the Darla story all season, I could have easily have given this a 4/10), the season picks up and heads in the right direction. Good season finale.

Season 3: 6/10
Why: While scoring slightly lower in my opinion than season 2, this season is much more consistent than the previous. Great season finale, and the characters have really grown in their roles.

Season 4: 8/10
Why: You know what? This season really isn't that bad. Alot of people fault Charisma Carpenter for being pregnant and slightly derailing the storyline; from what I have read the original intended plot would have done more disservice to the Cordelia character then this new plot did. Great overall story (At least in this season, we can understand the reason for Jasmine's allure. *cough* unlike the vampire storyline in Season 8 *cough*), would have been a 10/10 if it were not for all the inconstancy issues. Also Connor is just too easy to hate. Great episodes include Orpheus, Home, Salvage.

Season 5: 10/10
Why: Only 1 episode in the whole season did I hate. The rest I think pretty much hit the mark in the biggest way. Best finale in the Angel series, better series finale then 'Buffy,' very high rewatchability, just everything was perfect.

Comics After the Fall: 10/10
Why: Brian Lynch and Joss Whedon. The best Angel finale. The best characterization. The best comic in the Buffyverse. Period.

Comics Aftermath: 1/10
Why: I always tell people "pretend they took 'Angel' and tried so hard to be 'X-men' but couldn't cut it".

Comics Angel Ongoing: 6/10
Why: More Brian Lynch, and an assortment of great authors. Just needs to get over 'After the Fall' and would benefit from some serious planning.
