I really really have trouble with Superstar sometimes. Sometimes I like it other times... I skip it.

I didn't like Beer Bad, The Puppet Show was one of the worst Season 1 episodes. I also never really like the Ted episode which is strange because I really like John Ritter. I just found that episode to be aggravating in general.

"Beer Bad" - what were they thinking?! They were thinking that they were mandated by the network to do an episode on the dangers of alcohol or substance abuse, so that the network could get away with running fewer public-service announcements (which took up valuable commercial time), and so "Beer Bad" was basically the writers' way of giving the network--and the government--a big raised middle finger. "You want us to do an episode that says beer is bad? Okay, well, here you go." For that reason alone I think it's awesome, but then when you add in SMG's hilarious performance as cave-slayer, it's one of my favorites of that whole season. Worse Episode Ever? "Bring On the Night", hands-down. First appearance of the Potentials. Start of the go-nowhere is-Giles-The-First? subplot. Joyce appearing in two dream sequences for apparently no good reason whatsoever--why even bother bringing Kristine back for that? The ubervamp torturing Spike by dunking his head under water, which really accomplishes a lot against a guy who doesn't have to breathe. The Potential (Annabelle?) who seemed the most together suddenly running away, with no real scenes to explain it or show why she'd suddenly lost confidence in Buffy, beyond Kennedy pointing out that the house was in kinda rough shape. And finally, Buffy's rousing speech at the end, which would've actually been great if she'd given it on the eve of their final triumpant battle, but instead it just ends up falling flat on its face, considering that rather than doing any of the things she promises they're going to do, they all just end up bickering, whining, and running around with no clear idea what they're doing for the next 10 episodes. BOtN and "Teacher's Pet" are the only two I consider skipping when I re-watch the series. I never do, but I usually have to take a few seconds and talk myself into watching them...

I always didn't like Dead Mans Party. The characters were all written wrong and it was just awkward and sad.

As You Were. I don't need to see Riley again, or him catching Buffy sleeping with Spike.

I don't think I've ever skipped an episode when re-watching the Buffy episodes. I just personally feel that every episode, however strong or weak, as some worth while scenes, dialog or character development.
With that said I've always thought Beer Bad was the let down of Season 4 and many of the Season 7 episodes, particularly ones surrounding the potentials, were very weak episodes. Also their are several episodes in Season 6 that I find hard to watch, but not because they were weak or bad, just because the content of the episodes were very dark and sometimes disturbing.

I didn't like Normal Again. I hated the ending of this episode it just made me believe that Buffy was mental patient!

I always didn't like Dead Mans Party. The characters were all written wrong and it was just awkward and sad. I actually really like this episode for some reason. There are a few comedy gems this ep, my favorite being Giles' line *said in a mocking voice*, "do you like my mask? It raises the dead. Americans! This just cracks me up every time! And I find it so funny that he is mocking Joyce. Oz's party style definitions are classic as well. Didn't really care for Pat, though. Found her annoying. And I agree that the whole confrontation between Buffy and the gang was awkward (unfortunately not the only time this happens), but I'm glad everything got worked out in the end. Loved the scene between Buffy and Will at the end. P.S. Love your icon/banner. I also like Beer Bad and As You Were as well. So funny that I like so many eps that others vote the worst. Guess I'm weird that way. But really, Beer Bad had some awesomely funny moments, and I actually *liked* Seeing Riley again in AYW. Glad that he and Buffy finally got that closure and were able to part on good terms. I didn't like Beer Bad, The Puppet Show was one of the worst Season 1 episodes. I also never really like the Ted episode which is strange because I really like John Ritter. I just found that episode to be aggravating in general. I love Ted. Worst S1 ep for me would definitely be, I Robot, You Jane.

I liked I Robot, You Jane. And I think I'm the only one. I'm well aware it's not a very good episode. In fact, it's quite bad. But I just find it fun to watch. Especially with lines like: "Right now, a man is transferring money from his swiss bank account to place a hit on his mother. Good for him!"

There's a big load of interesting choices here...
For me, the first one to spring to mind is "Where the wild things are". I don't even know if I've ever been able to fully finish that episode...which would definitely make it the only one for me, ever. I just can't stand it.
Otherwise...I usually skip over "Superstar". Not because I dislike Jonathon, it's just that I hate how Buffy is portrayed in this episode, and how everything is screwed up...but not in a good "The Wish" way. I just don't like it that much.
Or the season two episode, "Some Assembly Required". There are parts of the episode that I like but the whole concept of the episode just irks me. It's just crappy.

I love my banner/avatar too. That's one of my favorite Giles quotes!! This episode did have a few great Joss one-liners, but overall I didn't like the way the gang was treating Buffy. It really wasn't something they would do. Xander was reacting way too harshly for my taste. It was like they upped the drama or something.

I never been a big fan of "gone",this episode seems to be just "out of the show",i don't know, the characters, especially Buffy ,are far away from themselves .I mean, the moment when Buffy is sleeping with Spike,Xander arrives, and then she is so lustful....I know it supposed to show how free she feels, but no,i don't hook on ^^

My worst ever would be "Where The Wild Things Are". I think it's the only episode (strangely enough) where, partway through I thought, "Why am I still watching this piece of shit?" I didn't like some S7 episodes because of the storyline and things, but I never thought that with them. I dislike Wrecked because of where they went with Willow's character. I hate what happened between her and Dawn. It makes me cringe to watch the episode! Agree! I hate the episode for that reason too. Willow getting to be a power-addict, with magic being a way of getting it, was far more interesting. But then they made magic be an actual drug (not even a metaphor anymore!). Btw, wasn't magic a metaphor for sex in S4? Confusing or what?

I love the entire series, but the worst episode is "I Robot, You Jane". Hands down. For me too. Which is sad, 'cause the ideas behind the story are pretty good - metaphors about the lack of control of information on the virtual world, and also Willow's self steem issues - and could have been a great Willow-focused episode. I mean, even in the bad Buffy episodes, there is always something underneath, so even if the narrative is bad, maybe the subject isn't, or the creativity, etc. That's my theory. I really like Where the Wild Things are, but it's not a really good episode. It's funny because of the ghosts and stuff but I guess the whole concept behind it is more important than the narrative per se, and in this case the metaphor and the philosophies, to me, makes it a good episode. By the way, it's an important episode to prove that the show does not intend to say "don't have sex until you married or you may get killed or be devoured by some giant bug". It's all about responsibility, but sexuality must be respected, not repressed, and that's really fine metaphor in the episode. Also, Beer Bad is considered bad 'cause it's too obvious and simple, but metaphors don't need to be cryptic and complex to be good. I never skip Beer Bad because, well, foamy.

How did it take so long for someone to mention bad eggs? Terrible, terrible writing. In fact a great deal of season 2 is pretty bad (Ted, Some Assembly Required) thank God for Angelus.

^^ I've always Hated Bad Eggs. But I rewatch the first 15 minutes because there are some hilarious scenes. I can't remember what the scenes are at the moment because it's been awhile since I've watched it though.
