I thought Good Bye to Iowa was worse than The I in Team, which had fun moments what with Buffy not stopping to ask questions during the Initiative meeting.

I hate Goodbye Iowa. Really can't be bothered with Riley-centric episodes.

I can't really say I hated any of the episodes but I find I in Team the worst part. First, there's Buffy/Riley sex (with Walsh watching. EW!) and then Buffy's starting to detach from the Scoobies the most in this episode. The only redeeming parts were Tara and Willow being cute.

^^ agreed...fav moment was when Willow goes to Tara's dorm and says all sheepishly: "A funny thing happened with my prior social engagement. Pretty much ended when a friend of mine went off to do something with another crowd she hangs out with. Irony is kind of ironic that way. (hopefully) Anyway, I know it's late, but I-I thought maybe-- I mean, if you still wanted to . . . do something?" so adorable

I never really loved "Beer Bad", but I guess it gets some points for being amusing. I find humor and good bits in all of the episodes, though, so it's really hard to pick any that I would skip over watching the seasons again.

I tend to agree with you, thevernacular - there are no episodes that I skip on re-watches even though I'm up to about my 25th one now! If I had to single an episode out as the worst, I would go with "Beer Bad" as well, which I enjoy only for the moments when Parker gets clouted by Cave-Slayer Buffy.

I'm right there with the never skipping on re-watches. But the ones I least look forward to are probably Teachers Pet and Some Assembly Required.

Bad Eggs, this, to me, was a horrible filler episode with a useless, senseless plot and very lazy writing. The whole little subplot about Joyce not trusting Buffy is really bizarre in the wake of her speech just a few episodes before in School Hard. Beer Bad, this one has been mentioned by several others and I whole-heartedly agree. The Buffy as a cavewoman gag was annoying and pointless. Although, I have to say, this episode has one of my favourite Xander lines "NOTHING CAN DEFEAT THE PENIS!" Hilarity. Never Kill A Boy On The First Date, I won't say this is one of the "worst" episodes because it's quite well-written, but I personally can't stand it. Not a hundred percent sure why, it just always bored me. Listening To Fear, eeugh, this episode was horrible. No character developement, it didn't move the plot at all and that Queller demon thing reminded me of a giant cockroach which completely disgusted me. Now, as a side not, I can't believe there are people who don't like the musical. Well, actually, I can believe it, everyone has their own tastes, it's more that I don't get it. I love musicals, so I was so psyched when they made OMWF. Plus most of the songs are so catchy! But not for everyone, I guess.

"Where the Wild Things Are" is probably up there on the list for me, and the "orgasm wall" was one of the silliest plot conceits the writers ever came up with.
However, the scene with Giles singing "Behind Blue Eyes" in the coffeeshop, and the gang's stunned reaction, goes a long way toward redeeming the episode.

Since there has been so much talk of Empty Places in another thread recently, I will continue to stand by this as my pick for "worst" episode, should such a thing exist. There is just really nothing I like or enjoy about this episode as a whole.

I think for me it's "Go Fish". I dont' really hate any episode, but that's the one that I find the least interest in and tend to re-watch the least. "Bad Eggs" is another one that I don't watch much. However I find that neither really further the overall plot that much so maybe that's why I'm not into them that much. A lot of episodes don't further the plot as much and sort of act as stand-alones but I think they concepts for these don't grip me as much as others, so I don't really watch them that much.

Well, the one thing I liked about Bad Eggs was the Gorch brothers...that was about it really, but for the worst episode ever...I'm scratching my head trying to think of one. I know that there are some I'm not a fan off, usually some s1 episodes, but none are really coming to mind atm

I agree that Bad Eggs is not the most gripping episode, however: I do believe that it furthers the plot. Angel and Buffy are really getting urgent in this one, there's some significant moments of heightening tension, which then plays out in Surprise.

Since there has been so much talk of Empty Places in another thread recently, I will continue to stand by this as my pick for "worst" episode, should such a thing exist. There is just really nothing I like or enjoy about this episode as a whole. Yep, along with the next episode Touched. I kept saying to myself "hang on a minute, we've done this before and it's called Season 6!" I was so over seeing Buffy being constantly down on herself. Another one I thought was pretty lame was Potential. Oh throw the skinny girl a stick and tell her she has a destiny and now she can kill vampires with ease! Whatever, not buying it. Buffy couldn't even do that in season 1. The ep does redeem itself somewhat with the last five minutes, when the writers actually remembered Xander was a part of the show.

I think Normal Again is a great episode , the only downside is that you know that the trio and the demon are to blame. It would have been so cool to start the episode with Buffy in the asylum and work back from there.

Hmm...I could have sworn I replied to you yesterday but I guess the board ate it. lol Anyways... I do like Spike's speech to Buffy in Touched, though. Really beautiful words. I always skip past the Willow/Kennedy sexcapades, though. Seeing the others being intimate doesn't bother me, just these two. Well, except for Faith and Wood getting it on in Buffy's Bed, formerly her mother's bed. They kick her out of her house and then do it in her bed? I dunno, just seems kinda disrespectful somehow. lol. I mean, it's not like Faith and Buffy were exactly bosom buds at this point, and if you recall Buffy was less than thrilled when she came back and found out what had went down in her bed. lol But anywho, I digress...on to Potential... While I do think it is a somewhat hokey episode, I actually really like Amanda. She was one of the few potentials I could stand and I hate that she was killed off. I think she would have been a great addition to the season 8 comics. That said, however, I do agree that Amanda being able to stake the vamp just like that was somewhat unrealistic and cheesy. As you mentioned, Buffy wasn't able to do that on her first time out, and neither were any of the other potentials for that matter. I definitely agree that Xander's speech to Dawn is the best part of the episode.

OK, I'll jump into the Touched discussion and say that I never skip the Kennedy/Willow moment. Not only do I like the moment as such, it also has a significance that goes beyond that very moment: it was the very first lesbian sex scene on broadcast TV. That alone would gain the scene points on my scale. But as I said ... www.afterellen.com/TV/buffy-sex.html

I don't think I realized that it was the first lesbian sex scene. That's awesome. I also happen to love Touched, but that's beside the point. That is really great that Buffy decided to do broach the first one. Also, I may not be a huge fan of the Willow/Kennedy relationship (thought I don't hate it with a vengence) but that is a good sex scene as far as sex scenes go.
