Just about reached their arrival in the episodes rewatch/reviews on the Buffytube part of the forum (in fact thinking about it we've already met Amanda in Help). So, Potentials, what do you think of them and who was your favourite/least favourite?
1. Amanda; my all time favourite, so sweet and shy, heroic, tough and funny, very reminiscent of an early Willow in certain ways. Gutted that she was killed in the end (as indeed was she thinking of it?). Always thought that there was little bit of subtext between her and Dawn, would love to have seen that on the show.
2. Vi; is great, almost a second Amanda, again shy and sweet, a lost little girl suddenly plunged into this incredible world and handed this tremmendous responsibility. So great to still see her in the comics. Favourite scene with her is her desperately trying to save Rhona on the bus at the end, great to see her so empowered.
3. Kennedy. Yeah, lots of people aren't too keen on our favourite sapphic brat but I do like her and Willow obviously cares for her a great deal. She really starts to grow on you near the end and it's a shame she didn't get more time to win us over as Tara and Oz did

Fave potentials:
Amanda (agree with you about her being Willow-like. Hated that she died). Vi Molly (annoying accent but nice).
Least fave:
Rona Kennedy (both just had a really horrible attitude, but Rona was the worst!)

I thought Dawn's character was pretty irritating at times with the whining, etc. Then season 7 came along and Kennedy showed up. I found Kennedy to be grating at best, infuriating at worst. The only redeeming quality about Kennedy is that she fell for Willow so at least she has good taste. Other than that, I hoped each episode she would be written off the show.

I kinda liked her grating personality. Most of the time, she was able to get the job done when the other slayers were too chicken to do anything, and I respect her for that. She was had the Slayer personality before she got changed by the Scythe. Sure she was a bit of a brat, but that didn't take much away from her drive and determination. Personally, I'd like Kennedy more if she was with someone else. I don't like that she's such a polar opposite of Tara, and that Willow would be attracted to that. Its weird and kinda unsettling. Oh, and Willow and Tara OTP!

^^ I agree with you about Willow and Kennedy being polar opposites. I always hate that they seem to have very little in common and very different personalities. With Tara and Oz she had similarities, and the two complimented her greatly. Despite any differences they may have had, these relationships still found a way to work. Maybe I'm biased, but I just don't get that vibe from the Willow\Kennedy relationship. I really don't understand why Willow would be drawn to Kennedy at all, especially after her relationship with Tara, whom Kennedy is in stark contrast to. To each their own I suppose. Perhaps these two are a prime example of "opposites attract."

Worst: Can't stand Rona, and kind of wanted to see Dawn slap her instead of just going for the verbal smackdown. Also Eve, although I don't know if she counts as a Potential, since the entire time we see her, she's really the First.
Best: Kennedy, because she's the only one of the initial batch who isn't whiny and useless -- the only one who actively tries to be constructive most of the time, which is probably in part because she's also the oldest. Followed by Amanda, who I keep wanting to call Millie after Sarah Hagan's character on "Freaks and Geeks."

I sortof saw why Willow was convinced in the beginning of the relationship, but Kennedy should've been the rebound girl, right? -sigh- Maybe the Willow One-Shot will make the Kenlow relationship easier to deal with, or even understand...

I agree with y'all, I really hated Rona. I still don't like her, even in the season 8 comics! She was the leader of those rebel slayers, and she just passed them off to Andrew to deal with, like she had no responsibilities or anything!! Ugh! So dumb!

Hands off my wonderful Dawnie! Like Chao Anh, comic relief but fun, glad she made it at the end (you can see her walking around outside the bus). Also glad Criadad made it (one of the Potentials from Xander's dream sequence) Molly was ok but a bit Mary Poppins, Annabel was heartrending. HATE RHONA (Rhona the moaner!) and yes, Dawn should have punched her in addition to verbally slapping her down. Had sympathy with Chloe but was mad at her for taking the cowards route and leaving poor Buffy in the lurch. Like Eve although we never meet the real her So favourite is Amanda closely followed by Vi and Kennedy a long way behind. Least favourite undoubtedly Rhona although she comes good in the end. One question though, does Rhona make it? We see Vi desperately trying to keep her alive at the end but then she leaves her to care for Principal Wood. Is she in the comics?

I liked Kennedy. Didn't mind Vi. Molly's atrocious accent made her almost as unbearable as Rona moner.

LMAO, RONA. Do not like.
I really liked Molly though for some odd reason when I first watched it, but now my faves are Vi, Amanda, and Kennedy. Don't get me wrong, I am really not a fan of Kenlow (or Killow as I like to call it, cause I wish that ship would go bye bye >:[), but Kennedy by herself is great.

Undoubtedly, for me the best is Vi, then Amanda. Should be killed: Rhona ("Ding Dong! The witch is dead" WHAT? ) ..... and .... Kennedy! She says she's a rebel .... Faith should teach her what is to be truly rebellious.

I think the consensus is that most peoples favourites would be Amanda and Vi and Rhona is the least favourite. Kennedy seems to be the divisive one

I've been going on a playthrough of Buffy/Angel (trying to play them in mostly correct timeline order), and am now on Season 7 for Buffy, four for Angel. I am actually starting to really like Kennedy. I used to really not like her. But I think that's because near the end of the season she begins to disagree with Buffy a lot of the time, and I think that last impression is what stays on a lot of people's mind. When she first comes though, she's pretty much the only not-whiny one though, and many a time, mostly agrees with Buffy decisions. Granted, there are a couple times even in the beginning where she questions Buffy, which I used to think she did cause she's a bitca, but I appreciate it now because she's really only speaking her mind. If Buffy does something she agrees with, she'll support it whole-heartedly, and defend it to the death, if not, she'll whine, bitch and fight until her position is at least considered. I appreciate that she's not afraid to speak her mind, and although kind of a brat sometimes, is only doing so because she's opinionated.
