^^ I agree, I thought it would explain a lot more than it did. I got all worked up "We'll know if she's cheating, how she learned to fly, what she did during those 6 months, why she goes evil in the future, etc etc". So yeah, compared to my expectations and hopes, bland. I think people (including myself) were expecting a lot of raw exposition from both this and the Riley oneshot, when they were really more about character study. Which shouldn't be surprising in the Buffyverse, where character usually comes before plot. Both are very good issues when it comes to getting in the character's heads, but not really satisfying in a "what the hell is going on" way.

^^ Agreed. I do love that we get character development and not just "Now they're fighting, now they're running", but I need answers that I fear I will never get.
I have 5 issues + the Riley one shot left to read of season 8, and I doubt I'll get all my questions answered. Maybe a few issues/questions will be dealt with in season 9.

That is very true Paul, it was an insight into the workings of their minds and emotions, which was well done. I just feel that this could have been done with something extra too.
I am looking forward to the rest of series 8 to see how things continue.

I find myself going back, and rereading this issue often. I just love it. It's probably the only issue I go back to, actually, just for the hell of it.

It's a disgustingly layered issue. And I say that in a good way. When Emmie and I reviewed it way back when it came out, we both came up with very different elements from the story, and it was kinda cool seeing what we each came up with. Both Emmie and mine used to be at the SlayAlive blog, but since that crashed, those are now gone. I did however put mine up on my personal review blog. And here's the shameless plug... my review can be found HERE.

When I first read this issue, I got so lost and confused over what was really happening and finished reading going 'okay, so what the hell just happened? I don't get any of it'. I felt like I wasn't told very much of anything

Yeah, I was able to understand the Drusilla two-parter...until the part where she ends up in the 19th century. The ending greatly confused me and still does

To this day I still do not understand the Drusilla 2-parter. On the other hand, the Willow issue was a good read and although it was sorta surreal and layered with metaphors, I was able to understand it. If someone can explain "Drusilla" to me, please do so in the respective topic.
