I loved Slay Alive for its unique look and easy to use navigation. The new one looks just like Buffy Forums, which I couldn't deal with. I might be the sole voice but please, please reconsider. I've been posting here for years, and all that history is gone for something that looks like and operates like a forum of lesser quality. I don't mean to get down on you Phil, because I'm sure you must've worked hard... but the old version of Slay Alive was utterly unique. Please, please, please reconsider this. No need to get at Pat, he is allowed to speak his opinion. I'm sorry you don't like the set up right now. This coming from one of our longstanding members makes me sad. But, there is a lot that has gone into this decision. I really need to be the owner of my site, and it's database. Which was not possible with Proboards. They wouldn't work with me, and I couldn't even BUY the database! They don't do it. Even for money! This means they have control over our content, and control of me. We could be deleted in an instant for breach of terms and other stupid things. It made me really discouraged from SA for almost this whole year. I mean, you must have noticed a decline in my presence here. Server crashes, not updating the news header or layout on time. I stopped caring. I was -thisclose- to giving up the administration to Emmie and the mods and leaving because I felt like I could not continue to grow the site knowing in the back of my mind the truth. The truth that this site really isn't mine, nor is it any of yours because Proboards "owns" the data. They profit from having their ads plastered all over my creation and I can't even have my users and data - DATA THAT WE GENERATED! So, I decided to just move. And that's what has happened now. It -will- be for the best. Give it some time. It's been two days. Content on the new site is already generating, and it will only continue. Pat, did you know you have the option of a blog there? And CMS publishing on the front page? Your reviews are front page material and I had planned on auto-publishing them there when you did them. (Same for Wenxina and Emmie, etc.) The new site is nothing like BuffyForums! (No shade thrown at them ) But, it's not. They don't have vB Publishing Suite. Neither does Buffy-Boards or ANY other Buffy site. Just SlayAlive. So we are still unique! And unless aforementioned sites spend a couple hundred on this software - they'll never get it. I spent all this green so we could have great features at our fingertips. It's there, it just has to be utilized now. As for the "look" of the site, you know that it's always going to be an evolution. This forum has gone through 50 different layouts. 50. Once I get the hang of editing vBulletin it'll look great! I honestly like the clean look it has now.

It should be working now for everyone, try clearing your browswer cache, or give it another day. The internet is slow sometimes. Add to that, the site itself is still propagating! Give it time, it's literally been a day. Hehe. Nothing is going to go anywhere!

It will. It takes 24 hours to fully propagate the internet. It's off and on for me too!

Just registered, but I registered as "MikeB" which is what I use on B____s. Hoping the new site is a great -- or greater -- place to post as well as here! And, very glad to know that hopefully everything already here on this site will still be archived as long as ProBoards exists or whatever. Thanks!

I advise everyone to register and just keep checking back in.

I think it would be cool if issue #40 is about Buffy trying to find Angel. While she's looking for him she meets up with several of the other characters and we get to see where things stand with them. She never does find Angel in this issue, and it's left completely ambiguous whether she's looking for him to talk to him, or to stake him. Once again, that's how I'd write it, so it's not how Joss will write it. This. Something like this.

Just checked. No, usernames are not customizable on your end. If you wanted to change it, you'd have to PM me and I'd have to search for your user profile in the database and manually change it.
Which is not gonna happen, unless it's a one-time circumstance.
In other words, choose wisely!

I don't think vBulletin allows for username editing! Once it's done, it might be for good (not sure).

Peddling? HA! "if you got it, flaunt it" It's always funny to me to see people being such haters on the Internet. In reality they'd just be jealous of my *booooooooody (*Anna Nicole Smith accent). Our site will be amazing, we are young, inspired and have ideas. Who cares if the haters are pressed and gagging on their corn flakes? Lmao. For the record heterosexual females and gay males probably make up a big part of the fandom, so if they like a shirtless review, that means they'll be on SA and loving it! Which means I am doing something right *takes off shirt, and turns on the camera
