I'll be gone all next week, and without Internet access, so I thought this thread would be a good idea as a news resource for all the new info we are likely to find out at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Once I get back, I'll be able to sort all the info into the proper threads and stuff, so I thought this thread would be easier to contain everything. Stuff to watch out for:- Angel #26-27 + Annual info (Brian and Stephen) - Angel #28+ info (new writer and artist) - Angel: Only Human info (Lobdell and Messina) - Angel: A Hole in the World/Shells info (Tipton and Casagrande) - John Byrne's Angelus one-shot - Spike On-going series info (Brian and Urru) Hopefully the folks from Buffyfest are going, so we can get all the news nice and early like with NY. Their coverage was great! Anyone else going? If not, then hopefully this thread will be a good place to see all the news. IDW's panel is Saturday, July 25th from 10-11 a.m. PACIFIC

Lombardi? Think you might have meant "Lobdell," my friend.

Man I cant wait to get this news. It will be about 8pm Irish time before I will hear any news methinks - which will make Saturday a VERY long day:) Brian mentioned on IDW that we may see a sneak peek of the Spike comic which would be awesome - but yes....lots of Angel news to come considering its a whole *hour* devoted to it.

Ya I am kinda crazily excited to hear the news. The fact that IDW had its own panel yesterday and that Angel has a panel all to itself tomorrow. Well then big things must be on the cards.

I'm gonna be at work when the announcements drop. Balls. I hope my break is somewhere around 2, as that would be perfect timing (I'm in NY) to find out what is going on, as that is when the panel would finish.

Is there going to be Buffy news also? Coz i've noticed there isnt a Buffy comic con thread? New threads will surface on the Buffy board if necessary and appropriate. As of now, members are welcome and encouraged to update current threads with news if any surface. I just updated to Willow oneshot thread with some latest info.

Anyone know where to go for live coverage? I know yesterday the Whedoneque people were coving everything extensively on their Posterous and Twitter sites, but the panel is starting now (10am, right?) and I'm not seeing anything to indicate they are there. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I can't find anything also. I keep checking Twitter and stuff and there hasn't been anything. Guess we might have to wait for the panel coverage. Hopefully it won't be too long.

All I could find was this Twitter update by Chris Ryall from this morning;
So they tricked an Eisner winner.

Bill Williams. Hmm... I haven't heard of him. Am I living under a rock? He won an Eisner. Anyone know what for? Edit: Not sure if this what he won the award for, but he wrote a comic (for the web?) called SideChicks. You read it online: www.lonestarpress.com/readsidechicks/ ... it should at least give us a sense of his style.

I kept on trying to find where he won an award for but still have not seen anything. Maybe as an editor or one of the many writers? But I enjoy that online comic by him. Do we know what will happen in the two issues after the two Drusilla issues? The ones by Brian and Stephen? .... Covers? blurbs? anything? edit: Ryall says that the new writer is called Bill Willingham, who is indeed an Eisner winner. his wikihis own site

fromhis more recent stuff he seems to be a guest writer considering the limited size of his projects. Thats not good or bad since i haven't read any of his work to know but just making an observation.
