Soo there is noone else I can talk to about this feeling I have about Buffy. It's the only show that I feel like is a part of me (well besides Angel, but they are like 2 peas in a pod). I've been into it for 10 years now and I'm STILL just as intrigued & obsessed with it. Season 8 definitely helps to keep my love 4 buffy alive There's just something about the characters and the writing and the universe that makes me so excited- like I wish I could be a part of it. And I can always go back and watch an episode I love and just think of the entire series as a whole and appreciate the episode that much more. The level of story telling is beyond anything else I've seen. Or maybe that's just because I don't really give much of anything else a try. Buffy is enough for me. If I want to laugh-watch Pangs. If I want to cry- watch Passion. If I want action-watch a season finale. There's always an episode I feel like watching. So what makes Buffy better or different than any other shows for you?? BTVS 4 EVER <3

Buffy in anything pre-season 6-except for the bangs in "Amends" Willow in Season 6, with the shoulder length layered hair. Xander in Season 5 with the longer hair.

The episode of Joyce as the mother from hell would've been awesome! I imagine it in the same vein as Kathy the roommate from hell in season four. That episode "Living Conditions" is one of the funniest episodes of the series!
I think I heard somewhere of a scrapped idea of Buffy getting shrunk down- a la 'honey, I shrunk the kids'

The show has soo many places it could go! How is it possible that you don't see it going anywhere?? The amount of seemingly important characters we have already makes me interested. They all have a history and interactions w/each other and who knows what they'll all grow into. And that's the thing with Echo- People point out that it's hard to get into her character b/c she's a different person every episode. But you can't forget that she was someone else (Caroline) before she signed onto the dollhouse. She still IS Caroline (or is she...). Whether she'll ever be that same girl remains to be seen, but we know she was a 'real person' and living a 'real life' before. That's the mystery of her character. It all just needs time to develop! And her being other people is what makes the show fun!
And the list of things the writers will get to explore w/all the clientele of the dollhouse is probably very long. Imagine how many scenarios they could come up with! People using other people for whatever they please...it's a pretty intriguing idea.
and i dont care what anyone says about eliza dushku-she's a good actress. Watch the angel episode "Release" when she punches the tiles out of the wall in the shower. That is an intense scene. What more do people expect of her as an actress?

Yeah but Anya wasn't actually a demon when she would always recall her demon days. That's why everything changed in hells bells & selfless when she became a demon and started killing 'deserving' men again & Buffy resolved she had to kill her. I think it was perhaps jumping the gun a bit- why not talk to Anya & try to convince her to stop first? She was obviously feeling remorse for what she had done, but Xander finally got bit in the ass by his actions in season two (becoming). Not telling BUffy that WIllow was working to restore Angels soul so she would kill him- I mean, I know xander had a crush on buffy but twisted much? This episode is fascinating all around. Getting to see more of D'Hoffryn is great and his interaction w/Willow is always funny. Anya's backstory is done so well. Anya's journey is crazy. She chose to become a demon, unwillingly became human, chose to become a demon again & then ultimately chose to become human again. Very interesting how much she went through. The episode gives her character some depth. She is in fact the shows oldest character! Oh..and we get more singing!!! A+++

I enjoyed this episode much more than last weeks! And I missed the first 15 minutes! But the rest was verry good! I mean, from the action to the atmosphere to the writing- just all around entertaining & greatness! I think I'm gonna LOVE this show. I'm a huge fan of Joss-obviously I can't get enough of Buffy & Angel, but I never LOVED firefly. I liked firefly, but never loved. Dollhouse is already grabbing my interest a little more b/c it seems like it's going to be really deep and philosophical. I looked at firefly more as a character study-like...just the life of these 9 people in space. Of course there was more there, there was an incredible setting and characters I probably could've grown to love. That's probably the only reason I never loved firefly. It only got one season and a movie. Nowhere near the length of buffy & angel. OK ok Back to Dollhouse. There is major potential here. Lets hope it doesn't meet an end similar to Firefly!

IN the 'predators & prey' preview, we have a hint when buffy & andrew talk about daniel craig! Awkward!! Are the writers building up to a coming out for him or what?! At this point, even with just the clues in season 8 alone, I gather we're in for a big coming out lol

Yeah, the ending to "Him" is also really funny-when Anya turns off the radio and tries to act like nothing happened! And at the Bronze when the crazy chick kicks Buffy in the shin and buffy says to dawn 'well at least someone else thinks you shouldn't be seeing this guy'
oh and also the line 'anna nicole smith thinks you look tacky' is great.

I think she got cut by a doll. I got that sense when Echos mind was wiped and she tried to touch Claire's face. Claires body language obviously showed she was uncomfortable but also like it has happened before.

Why in the world would it be Angelus?!? That doesn't make sense at all. Riley was my #1 guess but since that's been blown out of the water, I really think it's gotta be Ethan or Caleb.

SO...this definitely feels like it should've been a two parter. The plot w/the kidnapping isn't finished so it's obviously going to be an overall arc we're following here. I feel like it wasn't the greatest hour of television and that's okay because the story is just getting started, we don't know everything we need to know yet & the potential is very evident. The characters are great and Eliza is just...amazing. I hope this show does well for her.

It would not cheapen anything they had. Regardless of where they are nowadays, it doesn't mean they didn't truly love eachother.

At first I wasn't too sure if I liked it, but I liked it the more I listened to it. The melody is good and kind of poignant & I like the chimes at the end. It isn't anywhere near as good as Buffy's or Angel's but it's still good. It's as good as Firefly's. I guess theme songs can be even more powerful when they let the music do the talking.

willow AND oz both being bi or gay after a relationship with each other is actually very possible. It happens in real life like that a lot actually.
not saying that he definitely is or anything like that. Just discussing the possibility.

That's referring to how Oz has to hide his inner (true?) self, the wolf. is that a fact or a theory? Because "restless" is the most ambiguous buffy episode ever and joss is surely the only one to know any meaning behind that bit of dialogue.

has ADAM been mentioned as possibly being twilight?? He could easily have been re-animated, there were still things alive underground in the initiative when it shut down & he's in league w/his "brother"-Riley.

i'm gay & I wouldn't be offended if willow & oz got back together in some way- not regarding her relationship with kennedy but w/her sexuality in general. I think the world would be more interesting if everyone was open to relationships with men AND women anyway!

ok-i'm watching restless & in willows dream I'm pretty sure her being in drama has to do with her being gay & having to hide (or act). I think it's curious what oz says.
oZ: Heard you're taking drama. WILLOW: Uh-huh. OZ: It's a tough course. WILLOW: You took it? OZ: Oh, I've been here forever.
In my opinion, yet another clue to Oz's character & possible hidden sexuality. Just sayin'

I totally agree with all these points on season 8. People are being annoyingly impatient, especially with the twilight hidden identity thing. Granted, I Am a very impatient person and sometimes I wish I could just have all of season 8 in my lap right now-BUT I've accepted that it's not going to happen. SO I sit back and ENJOY it. What would be the fun if we just had the whole damn story thrown down in one shot anyway??
I agree that season 8 seems very mapped out which makes it that much more exciting in anticipation of the conclusion.
I also like that the characters are ever evolving and that their world is more epic now-like it wasn't epic enough just in Sunnydale!

Willows feelings will most likely come rushing back when she sees Oz again. I really wonder if Willow & Oz will share a kiss or possibly something more. With Buffys little lesbian tryst it wouldn't surprise me if the writers wanted to emphasize this 'liquid sexuality' idea even more with willow going back to Oz. The only problem is Kennedy, but as evident with the saga vasuki story willow hasn't been the most honest companion. Come to think of it, Willows never really been an honest companion. She kissed xander behind oz's back, wiped taras memory & is apparentally getting sexual kicks with saga vasuki. Who knows, but I'm sure the 'retreat' title refers to the slayers retreating as well as willows feelings towards oz.
