I really feel like that sometimes too. I wish Joss Whedon could let his characters be happy once in a while. I mean sometimes it seems like they're either miserable or they're dead.
Not that I'd stop watching ;-P

Yeah, I'd have to say that it isn't her. The nose isn't the same and I can't see SMG doing something like that.

Spike. Angelus would torture you for a while before he killed you. I'm not saying that Spike wouldn't but Angelus turned torture into some type of creepy art form.
Would you rather be Spike's roommate (he's not going to kill you) or Angel's?

I LOVE the banner that has Spike's lines from "Walk through the fire". James Marsters did a great job with the switch between emotions. Very tricky stuff to pull off convincingly.

All of these banners are amazing and they seriously remind me of some of my favorite Buffy moments. When Giles draws all those picture in Hush I laughed SOOO hard and Buffy taunting "impotent" Spike was a great moment too.
This is going to be difficult.

I love Andrew. He always has a way of looking at things that just brightens them up. He uses his imagination to make life more interesting for him. It's like he's taken the part of childhood that's so easy to forget and brought it into his adult life. After he seriously committed himself to the scoobies in season 7 I wished they had been nicer to him. His enthusiasm was so cute.

You should give it a try, but be wary. The characters are very true to those you remembered, but that is about the only thing that hasn't changed. I love the fact that you used the phrase "be weary" it's good to know that people still talk the way I do.

The best news EVER!!!! I was so relieved when I heard this. When someone told me they might cancel it I was like " Not another Firefly incident". The news that it was coming back made my whole day!

I think she's doing an amazing job as Echo. I really didn't care for her that much the first time I went through the Buffy season but after Angel and then seeing this I realized she's a very talented actress. I have a lot of respect for someone who can play the kind of role as Faith now. Someone who is supposed to be hated and feared yet understood and loved at the same time. A difficult part if I do say so myself. I'm just so glad to see her again in Dollhouse.

That is so cool that you got to take a course on vampires! I wish my college offered something like that. It's amazing how the legend has stuck with us through time and changed with each generation.

I'd have to go with "So They Say". Every time it comes up on shuffle setting I have to listen to it. I know the song was more or less intended to move the plot line along but it's really catchy. I love the fan club. My one problem is with the line "this is his dry cleaning bill: 4 sweater vests". Captain Hammer wears the same thing most of the time and when he's in civilian clothes I can't really see him wearing sweater vests.

When I was waiting for my sister to finish tennis I decided to help this dad out because his kids were more or less going nuts. So I'm playing catch with the daughter and talking to the dad about big teenage fads and I said to him "Just wait till your daughter wants to read twilight" (she was 7) And he replied " oh yeah, I've heard of that. I'm not really that interested in the entire thing. What I actually really love is Buffy the vampire slayer." To which I replied " OH MY GOD! I love Buffy the vampire slayer!" it was a weird moment. Some girl behind us rolled her eyes and gave us this disgusted look. I was tempted to yell at her.

Joss Whedon seems to love laying on the misery. Sometimes things are so upbeat and happy and the next thing you know he's like " Ok, everybody's too happy! Time for something awful to happen!"
(Spoilers!!!!!)
"Let's have Cordelia be possesed! Maybe we should have Spike and Buffy have public sex (ewww). Let's drag out Joyce's illness for FOREVER and then just kill her suddenly. Tara should die. Hey guys who wants Connor to get sent to a hell demension and then hate everyone? You know, we should kill Penny. I really think that's a good idea. "
Sometimes I really just want people to have a good time in the whedon verse. I know fighting evil and life are supposed to be difficult but these characters deserve better. I'm not knocking his work though. He's amazing and I loved BTVS and Angel but still....

As much as I like Spike/Buffy I'd really have to say she should have either loved Spike or left him alone. She used him and even though Spike could be a major sh*t no one deserves that. I felt that Buffy could always respect herself. Sure she made some mistakes but she always did the right thing in the end... until Spike. She just kept doing it, kept using him to feel better about herself. I know she had her reasons but she never really explained things or made it up to him. Maybe that's the reason she never killed him, an attempt at redemption.
They were both just torturing themselves and it was kind of painful to watch

I've been debating back and forth whether or not to get into the comics. After I watched Angel I was made well aware of how Whedon can take something you like and then make you cry like heck over it (pregnant cordelia anyone?). I just don't want to ruin Buffy the way I remember it.
Does everyone seem in character? Are the comics comparable to the show? By that I mean, do they tie in well or is the jump from show to comic a bit harsh?

Cordelia deserved a funeral. She grew up from this shallow useless girl into this powerful champion of a woman. She was a bitch but in a good way. She lived for Angel and saving people. If that doesn't earn you a funeral and special moment of silence I don't know what does.
