Before I list mine, let me just say that I assume most people have a hard time watching the attempted rape, so maybe we should just leave that one off the lists? Just a thought, 'cause otherwise it's going to get repetative. Nehoo. Here are mine:
1. In Consequences when Mr. Trick is dragging Buffy around on a leash down at the docks. It's just so brutal and animal-like.
2. Faith choking Xander, again in Consequences. That scene makes me very uncomfortable, she gets so close to killing him.
3. Buffy beating the crap out of Spike in the alley in Dead Things. She's just so brutal and out of control and it's a very dark side of Buffy that we get to see here.
4. Spike and Buffy having sex in the Bronze, again in Dead Things, while her friends dance below. Not quite sure what it is about this scene, but it leaves with with a very uncomfortable feeling.
5. The Turok-Hahn thrashing Buffy in Bring On The Night. Again, so brutal and animal-like.

1. That's How You Know - Amy Adams from The Enchanted Soundtrack 2. Bet On It - Zac Efron from The Highschool Musical 2 Soundtrack 3. Mi Chico Latino - Geri Halliwell 4. In Too Deep - Sum41 5. Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day 6. Buttons - Pussycat Dolls 7. Father & Son - Cat Stevens
Hmmm ... weird list. And yes, I'm very sad, I own all three Highschool Musical soundtracks.

Not Fade Away because I think it sums up the mission in the episode, to keep fighting, to "not fade away" City Of ... I think it's a very clever title, especially because it's the pilot's title, it makes perfect sense Apocalypse Nowish because it's a nice little pun on the movie title To Shanshu In L.A. because when you sub in the meaning of Shanshu it translates to "To Live and Die In L.A." Very clever. A Hole In The World someone mentioned the dual meanings in a previous post. It's a beautiful title.

Currently in the middle of We Were Soldiers Once ... And Young. I'd seen the movie (We Were Soldiers) before and found the book at my local library.
It's a fascinating, very shocking read about the battle in the Ia Drang Valley in Vietnam - the battle that really kick-started America's involvement in the Vietnam War. It's wriiten by Lt. Col. Hal Moore who was the commanding officer of the batallion and Joseph Galloway, a reporter who got into the thick of it during the battle.

Everyone's mentioned a lot of great scenes, both funny and sad.
One of my favourite scenes is Xander and Cordy's little bit of closure in The Prom.
Xander: Wesley, Cordelia! My God in Heaven it's good to see you! How are you both? And details please! Wesley: Fine, Xander, thankyou. Cordy: (meaningfully) Yes, thankyou. Xander: (looking at her affectionately) It looks good on you. Cordy: Well, duh!
I think it's such a beautiful, understated and graceful moment between the two of them.
I also love Buffy and Spike's exchange at Xander and Anya not-a-wedding (which is kind of surprising, given that I don't like Spuffy), where Buffy lets Spike know that she is jealous that he brought a date. Again, another graceful and understated moment.

I have several shows I'm addicted to outside the Whedonverse.
Supernatural (I love those boys) Smallville (Mmm, Tom Welling ... I just want to climb all over him) Gilmore Girls (I was thrilled to find a show where the characters talk just as fast as I do) That 70s Show (I can't get enough of this show) Tru Calling (Axed way too early) The OC (I know, I'm very sad. It's a guilty pleasure) Scrubs (I resisted this one for awhile before my boyfriend got me sucked in) Friends (A classic) Law & Order: SVU (I love this show, it's so gritty with awesome characters)

The Virgin Suicides (book and movie) What's not haunting about this movie/book? It's about 5 sisters who all commit suicide within one year. The only perspective you get are outside sources and you'll never know why the girls killed themselves. One of my favorite movies too! As soon as I saw the name of this thread I thought of The Virgin Suicides. I first saw the movie when I was fourteen and ten years later it has not lost any of it's impact. The book is just as beautiful and haunting. We Were Soldiers The books is called We Were Soldiers Once ... And Young, and both are amazingly brutal, realistic and haunting. I cry from the sheer shock and emotion of the battle scenes, Mel Gibson's performance is amazing and the book is so descriptive that it makes you feel like you are right there in the action. Thirteen, an amazingly real, gut-wrenching movie portraying teenage life in a brutal and very confronting way. Catherine Hardwick's direction is wonderful and the story is shocking and amazing. 2:37 this is an Australian film which follows one day in the lives of six students which culminates in a suicide in the bathroom of a high school. Each student's story is fascinating and the suicide scene is so confronting that the first time my friends and I saw it, two of us couldn't stop crying after the film ended. Monster Charlize deserved that Oscar a hundred times over for her amazing portrayal of Aileen Wuernos. I was left speechless by the end of this film, just superb. The Pact this was the first Jodi Picoult book I ever read and I couldn't put it down. The story is written in the most beautiful narrative and the book leaves such a sad, haunting feeling with you once it's over. Simply amazing.

I loved Charmed, but I really think they need to leave well-enough alone. This show seriously jumped the shark in Season 6 and to continue to drag it on in comic form just seems like a money-grabbing scheme.
As much as I enjoyed the earlier seasons of Charmed, you have to admit it's not a very well made show. There are so many inconsistencies and it does, at times, take itself too seriously.
Plus the later seasons became all about who could wear the racier outfits, Alyssa or Rose. The constant "what are the girls turning into this week" thing just became tiresome.
That said, I loved the early seasons.

Seth Green was a major character but all Amber Benson did was stare at a banana for 3 seconds. She had no lines o.0 Amber actually has a deleted scene from that movie where Seth's character tries to hit on her, but she's too high to really respond. Wish they'd left it in. I haven't seen that movie in years! I used to love it.

Suburban Girl, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar (or is it Prinz these days?) and Alec Baldwin.
It's a really cute May/December romance movie. Sarah's very impressive (and brunette!). I can't get enough of this movie!

There's a scene, just before they all go into battle, where Buffy comes down into the basement, and she and Spike look at each other, before it fades into the next scene. Who thinks they had sex and who thinks they didn't?
I never thought they slept together, mainly because I don't think Buffy could be sexual with him again after the attempted rape. Plus, their relationship had gone to a whole new level in Season 7, to the point where neither of them needed the sex the way they did in Season 6.
I remember reading somewhere that Joss Whedon had said he never intended fans to think they had sex, but as with all things in the Buffyverse, everything is open to interpretation.

I agree with tkts that you can't really analyse this question properly. It's not like we can climb inside Willow's head to find the answer. However, if I was going to have a go at it, I would say it comes down to lots of factors.
1. Oz cheated on her. That kind of betrayal leaves scarrs that never fully heal. 2. Oz then left her, another betrayal that would have hurt her terribly. 3. It's been months since she has seen Oz, giving her time to start getting over him. She obviously still has feelings for him, but they have subdued over time. 4. Quite simply, she fell in love with Tara and if you add that to point #3, it's quite obvious why she chose Tara.
Nehoo, that's my opinion.

There are a couple of unofficial books that I love that are very good reads.
The Complete Slayer by Keith Topping is an unofficial guidebook that spans all seven seasons and has all sorts of trivia, episode reviews and little essays. It's a fantastic read.
Then there's Reading The Vampire Slayer (can't remember who it's by) which is an analysis of the first six seasons of Buffy and the first four seasons of AtS. It's a very intelligent read and has some interesting theories about the series and characters.

1. Do you like Connor? I find his character fascinating and I really feel for him, but I can't say that I actually like him.
2. Do you think he's sexy? Yeah, he's got the whole "broody" thing down-pat. As Willow says, it's genetic.
3. Do you like him better with Cordy, Faith, or someone else? I hated him and Cordy together, there was definitely an "ick" factor there.
His attraction to Faith was interesting, but he's a little immature for her. Couldn't see it working.
4. What is your favorite Connor moment? When he comes to fight with Angel in Not Fade Away.
"You have to do what you can to protect your family. I learnt that from my father."
5. What is your least favorite Connor moment? When he wires all those innocent people with explosives in the store.
6. What is your favorite episode featuring Connor? Apocalypse Nowish, Origin
7. What is your least favorite episode featuring Connor? All the ones with Jasmine.
8. Did it really bother you that Connor hated Angel so much? Not really, because I understand where it comes from. He's been raised by Holtz who has spent Connor's entire life telling him how evil Angel is. Then he gets manipulated into thinking that Angel killed the man who was a father to him. It's no wonder he hates Angel.
9. What are your thoughts about him after Angel has his memories erased? I think it clearly shows that Connor is the way he is solely because of his circumstances. In a normal, loving environment he turns out to be a well adjusted kid - so well adjusted that when he gets his real memories back he's able to deal with them.
10. How would you describe Connor? Smart, strong, a victim of his circumstances, confused, conflicted, manipulated, lost

1. Do you prefer Angel as Liam, Angelus or Angel? I love Angel and Angelus in equal measure.
Angel because he is very heroic and selfless, but he also treads into the shades of grey a lot and I find that endearing, it shows that he's not perfect.
Angelus I love because he's just so evil. He is such a fascinating creature, the way he manipulates situations to his liking, the way he can get inside people's minds and his love of torture. Plus, for a bad guy, he has such finesse and charisma!
2. Do you think he's sexy? Oh yeah, especially in the early seasons of Buffy and AtS
3. Do you like him best with Darla, Buffy or Cordelia? I will forever love Bangel, they are my favourite ship in the Buffyverse.
That said, I love Angelus/Darla, their chemistry is fantastic and I love it when they both have souls in AtS and really connect with each other.
4. What is your favorite episode featuring Angel? Not Fade Away, I Will Remember You, Darla, Lullaby, Orpheus, Soulless
5. What is your least favorite episode featuring Angel? The Ring, Reprise
6. What do you think is Angel's finest moment? Asking the Oracles to take away his humanity - such a beautiful, selfless act
Not Fade Away - he is a true hero in this episode
Giving up Connor so that his son can lead a normal life - again, so selfless
7. What do you think is his lowest moment? Locking the lawyers in with Darla and Drusilla and then firing/cutting off Wes, Cordy and Gunn.
8. What part do you think Angel is going to play in the apocalypse? I think he will fight on the side of good - he just has to!
9. Should he have let Darla and Drusilla kill the lawyers at the wine tasting? No. I think he really crossed a line here. Those lawyers might have been evil, but they were humans and by letting Darla and Drusilla massacre them he was condoning cold-blooded murder.
10. What do you think happened between Liam and his father? I think Liam rebelled against his father's high expectations, causing friction and disappointment on both sides.
11. Should he have gone to work at Wolfram and Hart? This is a loaded question. If he hadn't, Fred would still be alive, not to mention Wes and Gunn. But without going there, there was no way they could have taken out The Circle of The Black Thorne and that was an important step in the Apocalypse.
12. How would you describe Angel- including Liam, Angelus and Angel? Liam - headstrong, weak, drunk, womaniser
Angel - heroic, human, shades of grey, selfless, funny, strong
Angelus - evil, manipulative, genius

Real name? Rachel
How old are you right now? Twenty-four
What do you study/do for a living? Psychology/waitress
Place you are from? Well, born in India, raised in Australia
Place where you live now? Australia
How old were you when you watched your first Angel episode? Seventeen
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I loved it from the get-go. It was so noir.
What was your first episode? Deep Down
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? From the moment I watched my first episode.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Not really. I got pretty addicted to Season 4, but stopped watching during Season 5 because Channel 7 kept pulling it off the air.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its five years of running? Yeah, I think Jasmine was a terrible "Big Bad" and seriously screwed up an otherwise great season. They got back on track for Season 5 though.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Doyle, Cordy, Wes
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I HATED Gavin, he was such a poor excuse for a human and terrible replacement for Lindsey. I also hated Eve, oooh, just wanted to punch her in the face.
What is your favorite female character? Faith (but she counts on Buffy too), so solely on Angel probably Fred and Lilah (I know, that's a weird combination, they're polar opposites)
What is your favorite male character? Doyle, I loved him. Angel, Lindsey and Wes.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Wes/Lilah, I loved their dynamic and Fred/Gunn.
Angel’s soul mate? Buffy
Cordelia’s soul mate? Wow, I am really not sure.
Fred’s soul mate? Again, not sure. I loved her and Gunn, but they weren't soulmates, and I don't think Wes was either even though he loved her a lot.
Which death touched you the most? Doyle's, because it was so selfless and unexpected. I cried buckets when I first saw "Hero".
What is your favorite season and why? It's a tie between Season 3 (I loved the Darla story-arc and the beginning of Dark Wes) and Season 5 (I thought it was played out so well and had some of the best episodes.)
What season did you enjoy the least? The middle of Season 2 and the end of Season 4. "Lost" Angel and Jasmine. 'Nuff said.
If you had to rank the seasons? 1. 3 & 5 2. 4 & 2 3. 1
What is your favorite big bad? Darla (does she count?), Lilah, The Circle of The Black Thorn
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Not Fade Away (Heartbreaking, brilliantly executed and a very nice series finale)
What is your favorite fight? Drusilla vs Angel as Darla rises again and every fight at the end of Not Fade Away
Do you have one favorite episode? No way I could pick just one. How about several? Not Fade Away, I Will Remember You, Darla, Dear Boy, Lullaby, Quickening, Apocalypse Nowish, Orpheus, Five By Five, A Hole In The World
Finally, what would you like to add? What’s so special about Angel? I love how Angel explores the shades of grey. Buffy is played very black and white "Demons bad, people good", but Angel has characters like Lindsey, Wes and even Angel himself that all fall into the realms of grey and I love that.
Do you enjoy the Season 6 comics? I haven't read them

I have always loved Wes & Lilah together, they are one of my favourite Buffyverse couples.
I just think that their relationship is so fascinating. It starts as just sex, but then real feelings developed. I think they really did come to care for each other, as seen by Lilah coming to see if Wesley is alright after the rain of fire and Wesley appearing to be hurt after Lilah leaves the signed dollar bill behind.
My favourite moment in their relationship is when Lilah finds Wes down in file storage at Wolfram & Hart and realises that he's trying to burn her contract. It's just so beautiful that he cares enough to try and set her free.
Plus, on a completely different note, how HOT would their sex be?
