Does anyone know if After the Fall takes place during the same time period as Season Eight?

I wonder if "the Gate" means something more than just a fence. Could Tokyo be some center of mystical activity as well?? yeah Tokyo's on a Hellmouth. :vampirebite:

I love hearing all the original ideas the writers were going to do. I remember I read in Consequences that Faith was going to kill Wesley and then it would end with Buffy going to Faith's apartment and she would find Faith dead, hanging. WOW! I never knew that. I also heard that in Restless, Angel was supposed to appear in Buffy's dream as the conduit for the First Slayer and Faith was supposed to appear in the whole "be back before Dawn" scene. But Tara got those scenes. And, that in Chosen, some crap about how Buffy was supposed to get a wish and she goes to Will saying "Guess what I got, new shoes!" and Willow says "You wasted your wish on new shoes" and Buffy says "No Silly!" and she steps aside to reveal Tara. That was...iono... And that in "Passion" Angelus was supposed to kill Oz, not Jenny. But fans liked him to much. Also in "The Gift" I think I heard something on a forum about how Team Angel was supposed to come in and help them and junk. But that would have soured the finale, iono maybe just Angel, Cordy, and Wes. OMG I would've killed to have Cordy appear just ONE more time on Buffy, just ONCE so she could rub it in the Scoobies faces at how much she changed. LOL I'm rambling. Also in Buffy vs. Dracula, they were planning on just having some random ancient vamp come in and show Buffy her dark side, like a Dracula-type character, but then Joss said "Why not Dracula...he's public domain". :vampirebite: Also in Season 2, The Anointed One was supposed to be the Big Bad but the kid was still growing and ofcourse vamps aren't supposed to age, so they killed him off and intro'd Spike and Dru. Also Angel, Oz, and Anya were supposed to be one-time characters, but fans liked them so much they kept them on. Also that in Conversation with Dead People, The First was supposed to appear in the forms of Jesse and Halfrek to Xander and Anya. And, sometime in that season, it was supposed to appear as Kendra to Buffy. And, that they were thinking about making Faith a regular on Angel. And that Dawn was originally supposed to appear in "The Girl in Question" but Michelle Tratchtenberg was busy so they got Andrew back. And Buffy was supposed to make a short appearance in Power Play like Angel did in End of Days but she was busy. And that they had planned on making The Hellmouth the main attraction in "The Gift" . And that Anya was supposed to die in "The Gift" but Emma Caulfield kept moving while Xander was carrying her. And, that if Angel continued on tv as Season 6 they were contemplating bringing in Oz as a regular and Anya until Emma Caulfield stated she wanted Anya to leave and didn;t want to make any more appearances That they were making a decision on wether or not to make either WIllow or Xander gay. And that they were thinking about having the character Pike be the one to come visit Buffy in Lie To Me, but they created the new character Ford instead.

I know that they were planning to kill Willow's lover at the time no matter who it was, although I didn't know about the original script for Tough Love saw Tara die at the hands of Glory. Thanks for that info CowBoyGuy. Yeah they originally planned to have Dark Willow arrive in Season 5 but they thought it would cheapen everything. Dark Willow was even planned to be the one to bleed Dawn. But,they scrapped those ideas and gave us a little glimpse of D.W. when she attacked Glory.

Yeah in one of the Season 7 commentaries Joss says that even if Oz stayed on the show, he would've died, they were planning on it either way.

That's what I got out of the whole "I'm afraid of the dark" thing, I didn't take it as literal, I took it as metaphorical. She's afraid of the "demon within" if you can actually call it that. The whole theme that started in Buffy vs. Dracula, the darkness that is Buffy, or the darkness that is The Slayer. She's afraid that now she has All this power. She's the leader of 1800 superpowered beings, and afraid of what she might do or be tempted to do...Buffy's not superwoman, she's still human, she has human pressures....who knows what our blonde heroine willl get herself into this season?
I mean her sister won't even talk to her anymore for some reason (though I think it's because Dawn thinks that Buffy will be ashamed of her...Buffy's done some sick things (mostly with Spike) but, she's never sleazed with anybody while she was in a relationship...
She and Giles aren't on speaking terms.
She thinks Faith tried to kill her again
She just found out that apart of her bestest friend feels regret that she ever brought her back to life...that she let herself choose Buffy over the one she loved...
But, who knows, other than those slick sneaky writers....those jackasses....

Personally, I couldn't give a damn about all that other reality hooplah. I was more interested in Buffy & Willow obviously, (sidebar: Dawn went all skanky, ooh Dawnie...) I guess it does make sense that Willow would want to keep Kennedy away from Buffy, but I hope their relationship doesn't stay rocky, because Buffy is already alienated from Dawn and Giles, she needs her BFFs right now. Didn't they already do the whole "everyone turning their backs on Buffy" thing in S.7 - End of Days?

I hope Buffy and Will grow from this experience and not stray from eachother. Especially, since Buffy and Giles' relationship is as strange as it is.

How long is the next issue? I haven't heard? Also, I hope the Twilight thing goes a long time. Cuz' there's the Twilight issue, and then they just go to the Tokyo arc. But, I also hope tis big bad isn't a rerun, if youi know what i mean. but knowing Joss it's not gonna be.

well i guess your right about the Buffy & Faith thing. But, didn't they settle their problems in like, End of Days? I'm not saying Buffy completely got over what she did, but still, it seemed that she just let it go.

I'm interested in seeing more of the Faith and Giles partnership. It's really cool. But, Buffy really needs to get over Faith's past, it's been years. But, I guess i kinda understand where Buffy is coming from when she gets pissed at Giles. But, I think it's kinda rebound-ish that Giles is trying to get Faith to take Buffy's place in his life.
Buffy needs a good slap in the face, and one that will actually hurt her. I think she holds the biggest grudge on Faith, because she was basically like a sister to her, before she just completely screwed her over. But, still Angel and SPike and even Willow, who tried to kill her have done worse things.
And, I like the idea of Giles and Faith teaming up.
But, I wonder what this Twilight guy wants. :jump:

1. Kennedy makes a cameo in "Anywhere but Here", but she's not a prominent character.
2. Some people say it goes up to 50, infact most people say that

Because it's still Buffy the Vampire Slayer the series. Only, like you said, in comic form. They can't just keep continuing it, without classifying the seasons, its already a bit confusing because Season 8 takes place 2 years ago.

Yeah I guess going to 10 seasons would be the best thing to do IMO. I just hope it doesn't get stale and they can't think of anymore original ideas. Though with Joss and the rest of the gang, that might NEVER happen.
