OHODHLYLAGUSB"!!!!! My letter is in the Slay the Critics section! omgg you are so lucky. when did you send the letter? and which one is yours if you dont mind me asking? I sent it the day after I got #1. Mine is the last one on the first page. I loved this issue more then the first two combined! So many more questions, it was great seeing Ethan again, I so didn't expect that. Buffy's dream... naughty naughty....train going into a tunnel, valcano erupting.... The art is a lot better. I loved the little Kennedy part and I like how we don't know who kissed Buffy, not yet anyway. I'm so happy Renee is still alive, I really hope her and Xander get together. I hope they explain how Warren is back, didn't he combust into flames? Can't wait for the next issue! I also really love the cube page. So many great memories. I also love how there is one of Joss. |

Yay! Number 3 is out!
SPOILERS!
Just got it, just read it really quickly....
Really glad to see Ethan again and Joss got him just right, I could really hear his slimy voice in that dialogue. I was so hoping he'd make a comeback.
Ugh, Warren. I knew Amy's boyfriend was going to be a gross-out, but I really wasn't expecting that!!! Warren and Amy deserve each other though, they really do - a couple made in hell!
Loved the dream sequence, Angel/Spike and the dream cubes...
So, we still don't know who kissed Buffy and where Willow's been. Any ideas?
Must go now and read it again...and again...
Can't wait for the next issue

It'd be quite shocking if it was Willow who kissed Buffy! That'd leave her some 'splaining to do! lol I think you might be on to something with Willow, though. This is from the writer of the 'yellow crayon' lameness, remember? I don't think he'd be above doing the whole 'love doesn't necessarily mean want to tup'... My favourite issue so far, although that's pretty much consistent with each passing issue. Not much to comment on, but I'm really excited to see how it resolves. Between this, Astonishing X-Men and Runaways, today has been a good day for comics... MB x |

After re-reading Buffy's dreamspace scene with Ethan Rayne many many times to see if I could figure out some possible things that Ethan was talking about. At one point he says something like, "Twilight is falling, and you're going to need as much help as you can get." In issue 1, when Xander and Buffy are discussing the symbol, she says, "I think it's a beautiful sunset." Hmmm......

After re-reading Buffy's dreamspace scene with Ethan Rayne many many times to see if I could figure out some possible things that Ethan was talking about. At one point he says something like, "Twilight is falling, and you're going to need as much help as you can get." In issue 1, when Xander and Buffy are discussing the symbol, she says, "I think it's a beautiful sunset." Hmmm...... Good poin hitnrun017, smart! And much kudos for getting your letter printed  Also, in the dream sequence, at one point Buffy is in a red cave type place and there's a demon/monster on the floor. Did you see its arm? Was that the symbol on it? It was right after that that Ethan said that Buffy needs to remember what she's seen in the dream. This comic really, really is great, it's the best thing, made my day yesterday. The only thing I don't like so far is the kiss of true love thing, seems pointless to me, UNLESS Joss has a big surprise twist up his sleeve, which he probably does (not Xander, not Willow - please, I know there are a lot of Bander fans out there, respect and all that, but I hate the idea - I want to see Xander with that too cute Renee) |

I just don't get why people hate the idea of Bander so much lol. It's NOT an impossible/unreleastic thing to happen! He was madly in love with her for quite a while. And every once in a while later on he'd accidentally let it slip that he still had feelings for her. We never really knew what Buffy thought about him. She may not have even really noticed! I mean, hello, had to save the world and all...and had the vampire boyfriend(s). I can understand people saying "Eh, it probably won't happen". But what I don't get is the fans who scream out "Nooo! DON'T let it happen!". WHY?! Are you that opposed to two characters in the Buffyverse being happy? lol I REALLY just don't understand the rage against Bander. Hey Mikey, I know, it's weird. I don't have a rage against Bander as such, just more like a mild allergic reaction. I think my main objection is that Bander feels like living in the past. I want to see them both happy, just not with each other. |

OK, so I haven't changed my mind about Bander, but someone on the Dark Horse board, in the Speculation topic said that it might be that Buffy and Xander get together, Renee gets jealous and leads a band of rogue slayers. I think that could be quite cool.
Also struck me that there is the potential for some great comedy moments with Bander. For example, Angel and Spike's reaction to Bander and Xander smugly flaunting it in front of them, after all those years. ;D
Like I said, not converted, but I am starting to see the potential

My thoughts:
I liked this issue. Until the Warren part. I mean how in hell is he back? It feels jarred and forced, and I was like "ugh". Willow put a bullet in his heart, ripped off his skin and -then- burned up his body till it was completely destroyed. UP IN THIN AIR!
I guess that since he was killed by mystical means, Amy brought him back...after her stupid ass spell in Season 7 backfired.
Still, I was just kinda like let down just a little bit. I dunno.
The rest of the issue was great though! It's nice to have Will back but can we please get some questions answered already!
I think the first re-occurring theme we have hear is Buffy's issue with "the dark". In her nightmare with Xander, she didn't want to go there.
And now Ethan told her of "Twilight" coming.
That paired with the symbol...very intriguing.
Maybe the symbol stands for Dawn!

Mikey, maybe those of us against Bander just think shipping is plain stupid? CBG...Dawn??? Hm...I like that and I do remember hearing Dawn would have an actual role and the whole she's the Key thing would be elaborated upon. You'd figure if Glory was so obsessed there may be other groups interested in the Key just as much. But is it necessarily bad? Giles is up to something concerning the mark! Warren...hm...it not like he is technicly in the "real world" Will was sucked into a portal...is there even confirmation that Warren is Amy's "boyfriend" could be seperate people? Warren could be in another dimention. I'd think that his "meat suit" would dry out and scab up pretty easily in the wind  Other things I loved: ETHAN! and of course Buffy's 3 way fantasy! |

oh me too...i cannot wait for faithness. I can't imagine her still in the US...since she has the whole escaped convict thing going...it would be fun to have faith in like canada...like there is a hellmouth in halifax. te he.

I thought i read somewhere that Faith was dealing with the Hellmouth in Cleveland, but now I am doubting myself with that information, since Alyrenee had a good point with Faith being an escaped con. Where ever she is i am so ready to see her back in action! Hmmm...... i just wanted to say good catch to hitnrun07 for this comment. i totally didn't catch that but i love the idea. Then to pair it with what CowboyGuy and colonelforbin said about its possible connections to Dawn...ah! I love it! ok and before i got i just want to put in my two cents about Warren being dead. I posted this else where and was pretty much ignored so let me know what you all think. I had always thought of the fire that warren vanishes in as more of a porthole/ teleporting thing that Willow did to him. Like she got tried of him and she just Whooshed him elsewhere. kinda like the little show Halfreck did every time she came and went. ok so Willows was less waving of the arm and more hot and burny "plus, fire. pretty." i donno why i always thought that, maybe cause real fire would have taken longer to burn him up. like i said thats just my two cents. |

I for one am really looking forward to the Faith Arc and I really want to know how things worked out with her and Robin.
Faith and Buffy had pretty much worked out their issues by the end of S7, so I hope there isn't some big resentment still between them. After all, there are thousands of slayers now, not just the two of them. Hopefully Faith can have the friends that she never had or is turning out to be a good leader.
Spike and Faith in a story line together might be good, those two had good chemistry

I'm a little less interested in the Faith arc. I don't know, her character just seems kind of done to me. And if it's going to be Faith for like 4 episodes, then that means no Willow for 4 episodes. Which I don't like. Oh well, we'll see. It depends on what Joss does with it! We could still see Willow. Scott Allie has said that Buffy still has her own problems to work out and will be appearing in the arc, so hopefully Willow and the others will too. |

It has been confirmed that Faith is indeed in Cleveland. I think it was a reply in the letters section in the back of issue 2.

I loved this issue. As far as the person that kissed Buffy, it's got to be Xander as he was always in love with her and he would've been the one to eat Cinnamon Buns.
I didn't understand the whole Kennedy thing and wonder when we will see her next.
I'd have to say the whole Warren thing is kind of odd, especially since it looked as though Willow had torched him to death after she ripped of his skin.
I also can't wait for the Faith issues, it"ll be nice to see her again.
