After 3 issues, I kind of felt that Joss was craming a lot into #1. It was like he wanted to introduce many stories arches so readers could get a taste of what's to come. #2 and #3 focused more on having the typical Story A and sub story B format where later on Story B is the main and we'll get a sub Story C.

I don't know if we've discussed this yet but isn't it weird that Ethan was surrounded by three X's? The X can mean a bunch of different things if you think about it.
But the one I am betting on most is that it must be related to sacrifice or maybe even crucifixion. Remember Buffy had a nightmare in Issue 2 where she was crucified on her hands and feet on the demons claws...

Those are good theories, but how wierd would it be if it was somehow related to Xander?

Just another theory, XXX = 30. Maybe 30 has to do with something.

Add another 0 to that 30 and we get 300! Buffy and 300 are crossing over! LOL nvrmind... that would be strange! Good view hitnrun

Couple of thoughts:
Human sacrifices= Additional Keys? Twillight Dawn= Dead Dawn/ Dawn in danger of being sacrificed in a similar manner?
Tattoos= Ethan Raine's territory.
Spike + Flying = Dragon?
Andrew could be bisexual, which would be refreshing.
Warren was killed by magical means, and Amy does want to do the things Willow has done. It's logical she'd follow Willow's path with Buffy, but point: she's not gone Darth Rosenburg yet. Is it that she's less powerful than Willow, or is it that she hasn't lost control yet?
Cinnamon Buns... Where have we heard that in Buffy before? If there were a character that we knew had expressed joy on the cinnamon front before, we'd know who it was. Although, personally, I think all of the head shots of Xander were proof enough that it was in fact him. He had the whole soft eyes thing going. Totally tells me he's the guilty party.

Angel was called Cinnamon buns by Lorne in Waiting in the Wings, which was incidentally written by Joss himself.

That would be a great left fielder, although I'm willing to bet my "Shells" Illyria action figure it's not Lorne. God speed to the green man, wherever he has traveled.

Does anyone think the spell Amy did that made those beatles crawl over Willow was eerily similar to when Spike was fighting that demon in Africa to get his soul back and one of the "tests" resulted in those same kind of beatles crawling all over him? Does anyone think there was a particular reason that they did that? Symbolism of some kind that I just don't get?

I just read the "making of" this issue on the Dark Horse website and with Joss describing how it needed to look, he said Amy did the spell that made the beetles crawl over Willow. Maybe it was symbolic of Amy testing Willow.

Willow looks REALLY hot on realistic cover, I love it! It's REALLY cool, I think they should make posters of it, I want it on my wall :3 It just looks soo radical
