2010 100 Movie Challenge!

This is a challenge to see 100 movies in the span of a year. This thread is to keep track of the movies that you've seen so far this year. You don't have to be trying for 100 movies to post on the thread, though. If that goal is too high or too low (or you want to try the challenge for less than a year), you can set your own goal!

What you choose to include toward you goal is also up to you: you can include re-watches, rentals, movies that you see on the big screen, direct-to-video movies, movies you watch on TV, etc. It all depends on what feels right to you. If you have any goals at all, you're welcome to come record your progress here. So come on in and join the fun!

Meatball Machine was... interesting? My friends and I walked into this Japanese specialty store in this crazy big mall, and since we're not really into manga, we decided to see what kind of movies they had. And one of them had the most awesome, insane title ever: MEATBALL MACHINE. We knew we had to see it, but we weren't sure if we could justify spending $20 for what we knew would essentially be a gag. So today, probably over a year later, one of the friends finally got Netflicks and ordered the thing. We watched it, and... huh. Interesting. Blood-sprayey. Really creative. Could have been done so much better. It was INSANE in some really funny and "what the hell?" kind of ways, and for a while, it played nicely with the motif of sexuality, but... again, it could have been better. The final act was a balls out fight, when it should have been a bit more. Pretty much from the moment the actual creatures were explained, the flick went downhill. Not to say it would have been Oscar worthy before that, but it was entertaining and, at first, surprisingly NOT mindless fun.

Avatar was good. Visually, great. The story was also very good. The dialogue, not so much. I'm not sure if I should make it blue or not, but... I'll eventually decide. I definitely think folks should see it, though.

Public Enemies, though... ugh. There was definitely a decent 90 minute movie lost somewhere in two and a half hours of boredom, but not enough to salvage this flick. Depp was good, yeah, but again, not nearly good enough to make this worth a watch. I wish I could edit the hell out of this movie to make it good, but all I could do was watch the train wreck. Don't put yourself through it.

To the folks putting some movies in red: Please tell me why they suck! I want to see why I should make with the avoiding.
