I won't ever say that I hate Buffy, but there were times where she annoyed the hell out of me and needed to be knocked off her pedestal. Also I kind of have the same feelings with Angel. ATS is a great show, but I originally started watching it more for Cordelia, Darla, Spike, Wesley and Fred. Angel is actually arguably the most boring character on the show.

I really don't like it when people talk about all the horrible things Cordelia did in season 4, as if she's to blame.

Sometimes it's subtle, but sometimes it's obvious that people forget that it wasn't just Cordelia in there. Even if it was just a spell, and not a possession, yuck.

I agree wholeheartedly with this entire post. I liked ATS sometimes more than Buffy, but it wasn't because of Angel. I don't even like Angel. Most of the time, I can't stand him. But Cordelia was fantastic on ATS...and so was Wesley. The character depth was wonderful on Angel. With the notable exception of Angel. And Connor...who we won't talk about.

^^ I totally disagree, i thought that Buffy had the better character development. Yes Angel depth was little boring and his acting abilities was down hill sometimes. But i agree cordila made me watch Angel..

1. I hate Angel. Buffy x Angel makes no sense to me. The most unrealistic romance in the whole series. I haven't gotten past the first few episodes of Angel yet, but I will eventually just for Cordelia. Plus, I don't think he's cute.

2. I love Doublemeat Palace. Buffy dropping out of college and working in a fast food joint to make ends meet really brought her character down to earth.

3. I don't think Dawn is whiny. Hey, if you were a ball of energy with no childhood, no super powers, and forced to live on the Hellmouth, you'd have a lot of complain about. (S8 is a different story though.)

4. I find Anya annoying half the time.

5. Andrew + demon boyfriend = comedy. It needs to happen.

Just watched the prom, want a great award for Buffster, "class protector". That scene always makes me proud of Buffy accomplishment as a slayer and a person.

-The high school seasons are far superior to the rest of the series.

-I strongly dislike the route they took at the end of season 7..making all potentials actual slayers sort of ruined the "legacy" and idea of the show for me. As much as I LOVE season six, and parts of season seven, I'd had rather "the gift" had been the series finale over this whole new "tons of slayers" deal.

-Kendra was really a great character, I wished they hadn't killed her off. The same with Jenny Calender, I really liked her.

-I wish Angel would've stayed dead when Buffy killed him in the season 2 finale, and they moved on. His story was basically over and the show "Angel" seemed like a waste of time. It also just made a whole mess out of the Cordelia character..she would have been so much better staying in Sunnydale anyways.

-I enjoyed the way Clare Kramer played Glory.

-Killing Anya was pretty stupid. I know Joss thought it had to be all "you lose people in a battle" but in all honesty..they only lost ONE of the main characters..that's just about as unrealistic as losing none..so that made no sense to me. And Andrew lived..whats up with that?

-I don't despise Dawn.

-Angelus really wasn't all they bad. Maybe he was bad in the past but They all talked him up and in all reality the only thing he managed to do was kill Ms. Calender...

-Jane Espenson was my favorite staff member.

I really enjoyed the dark theme in season 6. God that season was dark.

1- I love OMWF, I don't care how many people say it ruined the show
2- I love Faith and the Mayor, they're like evil Buffy and Giles
3- Drusilla is the best character on the show, why no-one ever seems to mention her I cannot fathom
4- After my initial hatred of Dawn I actually quite like her now
5- I like Connor (I think that's probably the one most people will disagree with)
6- Angel as a show was kinda dull and boring and lacking in proper plot-lines (though Lindsey was a redeeming factor )

I like Angel - But I used to hate him. With a PASSION. When he died - I smiled. But after watching Angel, I like him noe. Even him on Buffy. (I still don't like Bangel... Cangel 4ever (or at least until I watch where Cordy dies...)).

As I said on the 'epic' battles thread. I don't like Restless. I don't REALLY hate it. But I skip it. It feels to me lieka waste of an episode. It's nice wathcing Buffy and going 'Oh - THAT'S what they were talking about in Restless'. But I don't see why we needed a whole episode of that. An episdoe that changes nothing once it's over.

They could have done it the way they did in Graduation DAy pt. 2 with Faith talking about little miss muffet counting down from... whatever. And put snippets like that into episodes rather than a whole episode of... realy... nothing.

PS I like Connor, Dawn and kennedy. I'm 'meh' about Riley and Rona. Just to let you know.

I like Angel season 4...parts of it. I only like the darkness involved, rain of fire, the Beast, Faith, Angelus, Weslah and that's about it really. I thought the whole Jasmine thing wasn't that great of a finish-up to the whole apocalypse arc throughout the middle of season 4

Speaking of Weslah, they're a far more interesting couple than Fresley

I totally agree the whole concept in season 4 was great until Jasmine appeared. I did not like her at all, i thought it was a copy cat of Glory, everybody loves me, blah. And i thought her death was pointless and just plain silly.

Buffy season 5 has to be the best season in the Whedonverse.. IMO..

I don't think Cordelia's personality was assassinated in Angel season 4. I think that began in Angel season 3. It had to be said...now what, son! :awkward gangsta movements:
