Hmmm...interesting. I'm surprised that a mini-series would even be considered, but given how successful the Angel series has been I probably shouldn't be. Do we know who brought this idea up?

I'm thinking this is likely to be similar to Spike: After the Fall. It will hopefully compliment the main Angel arc, but not actually be directly connected to Angel or his story. Either way, I hope Brian Lynch is involved. It would seem only fitting considering he wrote the Gunn issue that this mini-series is supposedly being spun-off from.

I wish we could find out definitively if this is a spin-off mini-series like SPIKE, or if it really is the next arc in the main ANGEL title. There's kind of conflicting information that supports both theories. If it is a separate title like SPIKE, why isn't it called GUNN: ONLY HUMAN (since #23 serves as the launching point)? Since it has ANGEL in the title, that supports this being issues #26+.

Yeah, I really don't want to wait till July to get more info on this. It'll be so cool if the focus is on Gunn and Illyria, they could make a really great team. I just don't want it to be a seperate title.

That leads me to believe that ONLY HUMAN will be a FIRST NIGHT type mini-series within the main ANGEL title. Issue #26 will be about Gunn & Illyria after they leave town/drive away together and issue #27 may be about Spike and Lorne and what they have been up to. Then #28+ will kick off the next major ANGEL arc.  |

I really like that idea, Wyndam. I hope you're right. I am skipping right over Aftermath 18-22, I am not a big fan, and I am getting the next HC for Brian's work. I hope the extra two issues(since Dru story will take up two spaces) will be something just as good.

From the wording, I kinda just think it's a regular Angel story that starts with #26.

Ugh, thinking about what this could be really makes my head hurt whenever I think about it. I wish Ryall just didn't say anything until SDCC. If none of those guesses are correct, sounds like there is a big chance it'll be seperated from the ongoing series. |
