Not yet. But we're getting there. I think you'll like the first arc. Lots of new stuff being set up. Feels great to give Spike the spotlight again.

Scoop! SPIKE's first story will be entitled "Alone". 2 issues, possibly 3. SPIKE'S second story will be entitled "Together Now". 3 issues, possibly 4. Put them together and they will form arc # 1 of Spike's tale: "Alone Together Now". Yes! I'm guessing we'll see Beck in the second story. But I have to say, the titles immediately made me want to read or write a Spuffy story. I hope you and Joss could plan something together, Brian. It doesn't even have to be a crossover. It would be nice, just seeing one Btvs or Ats character thinking about the other "team". Maybe Buffy hears about a famous male vampire in LA, Spike has a inner monologue where he contemplates the new slayer squads and how vampires are in. I could imagine Xander watching Last Angel in Hell, knowing a bit off what really happened in LA. He would die of laughter. And then come back as a ghost to hide the movie from Buffy. |

I agree- a crossover (or even some ackowledgement of the universes co-existing) would be really great
I like the idea of Xander or possibly Andrew seeing Last Angel in Hell- it'd just be so funny

I'm guessing this is a promo for this series (although considering how many one shots and series IDW releases, I wouldn't be surprised if it was another). MASSIVE BUFFYVERSE SPOILERS POPULATING THIS THREAD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
- WyndamDoes Twilight's reveal change anything about the Spike series?
I know about the funny hastly made cover with Spike burning Twilight's mask.
I don't know if it will be explored in the story, but i would think it very OOC for Spike to simply look the other way and simply let Twilight kill innocent people.
And secondly, it seems pretty much guarenteed that Spike will appear in the final arc as Joss said in interviews long before season8 started that he would only appear when it really matters. So will Spike's story be made to fit with Joss's story if he chooses to use Spike in the final arc?

I wouldn't be surprised if Spike showed up in the last arc. I remember awhile back in one of our Q and A's with Scott allie when Angel and Spike where in always darkest someone asked if that was Angel and spikes last appearance and he said no, but he didnt say how they would appear (Dreams, visions, etc) and he didnt specify if they would both appear. |

And the same rules that apply to Angel apply to Spike. The reason has always been known why DH can use Angel. Because DH has Joss writing for them and he holds control over all of his characters including Spike.
Sorry, i don't see this as a bad thing, Spike deserves better then simply being a second rate background character as idw has been treating him of late. |
