I think Andrew has really run his course as a comic character; yes, he's very funny, but they went some way to rounding him out in season seven, and then that fell by the wayside when the whole thing got bogged down in a plot that never really made all that much sense. I'd like to see him get an arc - or a one-shot, at least - of his own, just to explore who he is as a character before crowbarring him into a relationship...

Meh, Andrew never really did much for me as a character. He was amusing here and there but he was very underdeveloped as far as the rest of the Series' characters went. Hell, even Kennedy had more going for her. They gave Andrew his own episode, and attempted to give him a little depth by having him at least admit what he had done was wrong... but the only way he did it was because Buffy was threatening to kill him... That never really screamed genuine to me.
I was mildly amused by his appearances on Angel, though I never really understood what the deal with having him disappear into the night with two beautiful women was... Wouldn't it just have been more in tune with what they were trying to get across (That everyone has to grow up sometime) if they finally showed Andrew going out with a man?
All ranting aside, he's been pretty funny in the comics and I'm glad his character is still around there, if in small doses.

He's a pimp haha. No, but it would be neat if it was -at least- confirmed. Then let's see some development...then let's get him in a 'ship! Hey!! Maybe Dracula will take a liking to him instead now!!

I don't want Andrew to die, well not untill he and warren have a reunion of some sorts. But I agree with cowboyguy I think Dracula will take a shine to him, maybe like a pet.

Those two women at the end of The Girl In Question were probably Italian Slayers and it was just another one of Andrew's tricks like when he pretended Buffy was in Italy. Or maybe they were just going out for the evening.

Not only do I think those two women were Slayers, I think Angel's spy was beaten up by Slayers who were keeping tabs on the decoy, not by the Immortal's goons.

Does anyone know if After the Fall takes place during the same time period as Season Eight?

I don't think anyone really knows for sure... I mean... Angel Season 5 took place like...19 days after Buffy ended and took place over who knows how long but it seemed like it was about a year or so. Buffy Season 8 takes place over a year after Season 7 ended...Angel: After The Fall seems to have picked up a few months after Angel Season 5 ended...so... well I guess I have no idea at all but I don't really think they take place at the same time.

Is that Buffy or Dawn on the regular cover? For some reason, my brain thinks it should be Buffy, but my eyes are insisting that it's Dawn.

www.comicbookresources.com/columns/index.cgi?column=litg&article=2980"This week, “Buffy" #12. Part of the Season Eight series, this book will start the arc written by “Buffy" Season 7 and “Cloverfield" scriptwriter Drew Goddard. And Dark Horse have been recommending retailers order more copies of this, as a result of some unannounced event happening within its forty pages, directed straight from the mushy brain of Joss Whedon.
The solicitation reads, "Acclaimed television series writer, Drew Goddard (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer," “Alias," “Lost"), takes the reins on Season Eight with his four-issue arc titled ‘Wolves at the Gate.’ The gang (yep, Dawn too) travels to Tokyo where they duel vampires with unusual, yet strangely familiar, powers."
What the special event is, I don’t know, but expect publicity and expect increased demand ... but only when the book comes out. Make sure your multiple pull copies are listed on eBay before the book has shipped and Dark Horse announce a second print."This backs up what Georges said about us talking about issue 12 for years to come.

Geez I'm really scratching my head cause I can't decide on what it will be!
A death?
A Buffy/Xander hook-up?
Buffy/Dracula?
Buffy is a lesbian now?! With Satsu?
Willow/Satsu?
I just don't know.

Oh I want to know! Now! Why do we have to be talking about these issues so far in advance? It almost hurts to have to wait so long...

Buffy Season 8 has references various "recent" pop culture stuff such as the Arctic Monkeys, and Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, so it would have to be at least taking place in late 2006 Angel: ATF however isn't shortly too long after Not Fade Away, so I'd put it mid-late 2004 Quite a big gap Oh by the way, first post here. Lurked for a while, so now I can say hello!

I emailed Georges about Buffy's hair being up and when we'd be seeing it down, and he said that it's funny that I mentioned the hair because #12 sees Buffy with her hair down for most of it!!! Woo hoo!

I think this story is more or less current to present day. Which is fine by me.

With all the hype over this issue, I'm almost positive Giles bites it. A death seems like the only thing that could cause this much excitement, and he's the only important character that isn't on the covers.
