I forgot about RJ. I think they did sleep together before being interupted. I don't count him though. Buffy was under a spell. Her physical body was technically involved but her mind was not her own so I definetly don't count that.
Look at when Buffy and Faith switched bodies. Faith slept with Riley even though it was sactually Buffy's body doing the deed. Reverse that and you have the Buffy/RJ fling.

Are you serious! And this is OK! People were up in arms when Spike tried to rape Buffy, what is the difference here? At least Buffy was able to defend herself when Spike attempted it. Do you really think if they had had sex Buffy would just let it go. Anyway, look at the screencaps. None of them show that RJ even has his pants undone...and she is kind of high up on his stomach... www.screencap-paradise.com/caps/thumbnails.php?album=136&page=9

Amen...ouch. I'm still trying to figure out how it didn't bug Spike (though he probably likes the pain) when he molested Buffy on the balcony of the Bronze. A quick zip "f#@!" to describe what happened there. It didn't even last but a couple seconds, don't see how that was enjoyable, unless he was just teasing her for later...
I don't think she actually got all the way to it with RJ, and yeah...it would've been mental rape. Now, if Faith as Buffy had gone to sleep with a stranger...that would've been bodily rape (though not physical, since Faith's mind was controlling the physical). If it had been anybody but Riley, Buffy wouldn't have brushed that off as easy, either.
As far as sexual promiscuity goes, the Buffyverse is actually lacking it. Xander had syphillis but he got it only briefly from the Chumash curse. I doubt that Darla's cold, dead body would be harboring disease after she became a vampire. It would still have attacked her systems (her vampiric systems), and she wouldn't have managed to survive as long as she did.
Sex in the Buffyverse is always a reaction to some emotion, whether it be love, lust, jealousy, sadness, empathy, or even apathy. Except in Faith's case, emotion is what controls the sexual drives of the Buffyverse characters.
Being 25, I know people that have had 20-50 partners each! 2-5...just isn't that bad to me.

Am i the only one who wishes we got to see how on earth buffy managed to end up in bed with satsu? I mean i understand the whole buffy is horny and lonely thing, but..., still! She wasn't anywhere near jumping satsu's bones in issue 11 and satsu didn't seem to be pushing the envelope with her.., i really hope we find out how it happened.

I like Satsu. I'm wondering if the trip to Tokyo will see some more development for her. Is she from there?? She has that whole harajuku girl thing going on with the keychains and stuff decorating her.

- She more than "fancies" her, she's TRUELY in love with her. Or her kiss wouldn't have woken her. That is what makes me happy with their "hook up". She cares about Buffy just like Spike did, that is why I have nothing against Spuffy either. I am sure it won't work just for the simple fact that Buffy, just like Spike and hell even Angel, is Love's Bitch. Like Angel said in "You're Welcome" "Maybe people like us don't get to have that..." I am starting to see the truth in this for all of our Scoobies.

Spike, Xander, somewhat Riley, Angel has his moments.
Spike, Angel, Riley, Xander, et al
All of the above, again.
With her? All of the above, except pre-soul Spike.
Spike and Angel are both explicitly identified as "champions", Xander is the mad pimp of fighting for the right, and Riley is an anti-demon special ops military dude.
Unless you mean capital "S" Slaying, then, again, all of the above.
And, again, all four of those principle love interest types have been there.
Is there anything other than the word "she" upon which Satsu can be distinguished as clearly better for her than the others?

I think so far ...ill say it i like her cuz she a girl becuse of what she represents bad and good ..the good she represents is that buffy doesnt look at gender so if she were to fall in love with someone not saying she is falling in love with satsu but if she were with anyone gender wouldnt be a big deal. Secondly the bad yea buffy migth be a parker but i havent seen enough yet to determain but it does look that away ..oh well i have faith in joss.

Another doubt I have... How do we know a kiss of true love is really what broke the spell? Which character did we get the info from, Willow?
I'm feeling skeptical after thinking about this for a while... Don't get me wrong, I'm still enthusiastic, but what if all is not what it seems? What if Satsu was *distracting* Buffy from the coming invasion? What if the kiss, the sex, the lip gloss... What if it was all a trick? I'm not saying it's likely, I'm just starting to suspect...

After the reaction Tara's death and what it did to Willow got from the fans, I'm very surprised to see him going where he's going with Buffy. Maybe you didn't understand what I said. I said SO FAR, right now, she's been the best for her since Angel. She hasn't done anything wrong yet. YET. That's because she hasn't done anything yet. She's a pair of sapphire eyes and flowing locks of turquoise away from being a Mary Sue. A Mary Satsu! MB x

That's a really good theory. I like that theory. It would make things very "Buffy" in the sense it complicates everything. Satsu loves Buffy but betrays her. Buffy being used again but for a different reason. It also would satisfy me as a fan with that being the payoff for the betrayal of the "closest and most unexpected". I doubt Buffy would expect someone who loves her and she has shared a bed with to turn around and betray her. Although I don't mind the Buffy and Satsu relationship I want it to go somewhere unexpected, that I wouldn't have predicted and I don't want it to be erased from Buffy canon/history just because a portion of the readers and fans dislike it.

That's because she hasn't done anything yet. She's a pair of sapphire eyes and flowing locks of turquoise away from being a Mary Sue. A Mary Satsu! MB x The comics been running a year and Satsu has been in every issue, we've had all we could expect from a supporting character, out of the non TV show characters she's been focused on the most. I'm not surprised people feel connected to her. We have a solid outline of what we atlest expect satsu to act like. Well i do anyways.

I have to agree with Giant Michael, I still can't understand when people say they love Satsu, when she hasn't done or said anything particularly noteworthy. I much prefer Genevieve Savidge or Renee. I feel they have made a stronger impact as characters.

Genevieve i understand, she's had alot of storyline dedicated to her, but how has Renee been more noteworthy?

Genevieve i understand, she's had alot of storyline dedicated to her, but how has Renee been more noteworthy? It just seems to me that every scene Satsu is in she never says much. She's very quiet. Maybe that's a trait of her character, however I don't think that comes across in the comics like it did in the television series a la Oz and Tara, who were both quiet characters that didn't speak often but had a strong presence. In Renee's scenes her humour comes across, she seems like a nice person, with a wit similar to Xander's. Satsu, I'm not too sure, she seems nice, but for me it's a little too soon to tell.

Satsu hasn't been in every issue. She didn't appear in any issue of "No Future For You", or in "Anywhere But Here". She only appears in "The Chain" in one panel with the rest of Alpha Team.
So she's been an actual *character* in six of the twelve issues so far.
