Have to go for Season 4. I love the whole "24" style to it, with every ep following straight on from the next. The Beast, Faith, Angelus, rain of fire, Wes and his shotgun... Season 4 has it all  I'd rank the seasons thus: 1. Season 4 2. Season 5 3. Season 3 4. Season 2 5. Season 1 |

I'm going to have to go with Season 3, because I just loved in introduction of Fred, as well as Wesley leading the team very ably, and also because the last 10 or so episodes were just fantastic.

Wow that's interesting to see that it is actually a tie (or almsot) between seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4. And a great majority loves season 5. can't wait to get there.

Wow. I'm really surprised by the results actually. Season 4 is in second place... it seems like everyone complains about it.
It's really hard for me to choose a favorite season, but if I were forced, it would be a tie between 2 and 3... they were just some of the best stories on television. Ever. But every season is really strong.

For me the show started to suck a quarter in S3 but i loved S4,S1,And S5 so i'll choose S4

I liked 3,4, & 5. I think because of Fred, but once Illyria was in season five, it really was great. Plus i think season 5 had some of the best epis, like Smile Time!

1. season 1 (classic)
2. season 5 ( great stories, loved Angel-Spike chemistry)
3. season 2 (nah OK)
4. season 4 ( Cordy and Connor ewww)
5. season 3 ( to much drama)

I went with Season 5. Absolute favourite. Sure, Cordy only appears in one episode, but it was an awesome episode. And on top of that, we have Spike, Illyria, a decent Connor, PUPPETS and Not Fade Away, which is one of the best episodes ever

Mine is Season Three, because it has the best pros-to-cons ratio of all the seasons.  I seriously do love all of the seasons, but for different reasons. They each have a distinct feeling to them because each year, it was like they were trying to do something different with the show. So I guess I'm saying my favorite "experiment" was Season Three's storylines. It's 4:00 AM here, am I making sense? |

I'm gonna wave the flag for S2 for a while. Season 2 was what Angel's character was all about in my opinion. Tracking his descent into darkness, plagued by his resurrected sire, it also represented the clearest agenda for Wolfram and Hart of any season.
Whenever I watch episodes from this season, I am reminded that Wesley can be badass without being humourless, that Cordy can actually have some fun along the way, why Lindsay should never have left the show, and that Angel's greatest conflict will always be with himself.

Wow, I always hated Season 5 when I was younger.
1. No Cordy 2.So much Spike 3. Drop Dead Fred and Wesley, 4.So many boring eps. But I also think it has many of the best eps in Buffy/Angel.

My favorite is season 3. To me it had that family feel to it. Also Angel wasn't all broody and was actually happy some of the time. And Fred came to the show. Also for the most of the time it was pretty light hearted season. But I like all the other seasons too.

For me it was between 2 and 3 but I finally chose 3. I didn't like 4 very much and I loathed the final season!

Season five...even though it lacks Cordy and has so. much. Spike. I hated almost all of season one, and liked only some of season two. Season three was pretty great. And unlike most people, I like season four, even though it completely changed the series in some not-so-great ways.
Still, season five manages to steal my heart. Probably because I got into the Whedonverse after seeing "Chosen" as it aired, so season five was the only one I got to see 'live.' (Although, I just remembered...I saw Orpheus when it aired...wtf? I watched it because I liked Alyson Hannigan...so why didn't I watch Buffy back when like season four was airing? Lmao.)
