I know! I was stretching out my hand and shouting "NO!" along with Xander. I'd be a terrible leader/army guy then because I was shocked.

I'm still not certain that the castle is blown up.If Twilight has access to military ordinace, then why would he need Warren to build a rocket.

Because Warren's technically working for the military (or was, at least. Any news if he got fired for jumping ship?), and Amy's got the mojo to do whatever it was she did with all the candles and stuff on it. Have no idea if it was just a regular missile loaded with some witchy juju to penetrate mystical forcefields, or whatever. Or if turns the girls into bleating goats.
Also, on a totally random note, the lousy paint job on the missile makes me miss Andrew's awesome airbrushing skills (the Death Star on the Nerd Mobile).

Wonder if Andrew knows about Warren's current status... There did seem to be some Warren related emotional turmoil!

I finally got the issue and I loved it. I didnt really like the artwork much though. I was surprised to see Warren and Amy again. My question is, didn't Willow do a protection spell on the castle, so did it actually it get destroyed? And what happend to all the slayers inside the castle?

I think that us only seeing Xander's reaction is going to lead us to believe that the castle was destroyed, but I think we will see that the protection around the castle was so strong, that the missle actually exploded (or imploded, however it goes) when it came in contact with the barrier.....it would be interesting if that were to happen personally

I don't know, maybe I'm just reading too much into what she said, but if Xander were upset about what he saw and the rocket did not destroy the building, wouldn't he seem evil? Personally, I think the castle was destroyed. Maybe the people got out, maybe they didn't. I kind of think Warren and Amy would be useful for a magic proof bomb. The military wouldn't need them if that weren't their purpose.

Oh.
Since Warren and Amy made it, it doesnt seem like them to just make a bomb for the sole purpose of destroying a castle. Maybe it does more than just blow things up.

OK, so I could just throw in my two cents worth on the issue. But I'll save it since there's not much I can say that hasn't already been said.
I do, however, have a quick question. (this needs to be prefaced by the fact that im colorblind, so sometimes telling characters by hair color, etc., can be a challenge)
I've seen numerous mentions of Vi appearing (in this issue, specifically). Am I to understand that she is the girl giving the lecture when Willow talks about the ripple effect thing? If so, has she shown up before, or is she mentioned elsewhere? Because when I originally read the issue, I immediately thought to myself, "Hm.... I wonder if I'm supposed to know who that is."
Sorry if it seems like a dumb question :/ Thanks for any help though.

Yes, Vi is the girl with the short hair (with a "clippy barrette" according to Emmie in her hair), giving a lecture. She made an appearance in #5, in the commercial with Andrew, and was also on the variant cover for #16. EDIT: There was also a panel with her in #11. As for knowing who she is, she was one of the Potentials from S7... the one with the goofy hats, and the one who slaps Rona at the end, telling her to stay awake, and that her wounds are "nothing". Hope that helps.

Yeah, I remember her from the show, I just wasn't sure if it was her in the comics. With the color issues, the likenesses can cause problems for me sometimes. But yeah, thanks.

Did they ever say her name?

Whose? Vi's? Yeah, they did... when Kennedy and Willow talk shop in the limo, while Buffy "enjoys" the scenery. I think they use her full first name though: Violet.

Back at the start of Season 8, in an interview with the Buffy magazine, Joss said that he wasn't sure he could use Vi in the comic because people would misread it and say "Six? Who's six?"
His solution appears to have been to have her going by her full name, Violet.

His solution appears to have been to have her going by her full name, Violet. I've heard that before, and honestly, that's actually a pretty silly concern on his part. Given the context, and the fact that most people reading S8 are going to be fans who remember Vi from S7, "Six" probably isn't going to be the first thing they think when they see her name, even with comics being written in all-caps ("VI" vs. "Vi"). Seriously, other than the Super Bowl, who even uses Roman numerals anymore? If a situation arises where a number is mentioned by a character in conversation, and you're the one writing it, are you more likely to write it as "six", "6", or "VI"?

Let's not forget that Joss is one of those few remaining people (outside of Super Bowl fans) in the world who uses Roman numerals. Seems like Joss was poking fun at the lack of such knowledge through Buffy mistaking the triple X's for Vin Diesel or porn. But in all honesty, I wouldn't have trouble recognizing "VI" for "Vi".
