The Final Fantasy franchise. And the first arc or two of Season 8 That bothered me when I noticed it. They should stick with roman nr or usual ones, not mix them. And yes, I am seeing a therapist...  |

So basically this story arc has prompted me to re-read the entire season. I find the introduction of Fray and Buffy is somewhat reminiscent of when Kendra met Buffy and thought she was a vamp. Fray's interactions with Buffy will DEFINITELY be different from those of Kendra and Faith as "the other slayer". I think Buffy will be shocked to see how the future is, and how Melaka runs things. I think it'll be an eye-opener to Buffy, who is again getting all self-involved and icky, in my opnion. Buffy finding Fray comes at a very interesting time in this arc. She has just arrived in NYC where a former potential is now running things, and the gang is once again at a loss of wtf's going on. She still has no idea who Twilight is, and so this is great time for Buffy to meet Fray. I'm hoping they learn a lot from each other, and that Buffy can get some info, maybe Fray will come visit the past? Who knows.. To sum up, I'm wicked pumped. I LOVE Melaka and I'm really excited to see her impact on Buffy and the gang. Thank you Joss for bringing Fray back into the mix..I not-so-secretly have a straight girl crush on her  |

Gates' eyes on the last page, are they meant to be that colour or is it a colouring mistake?

I've got a question about something I just noticed in this issue. Gates' eyes on the last page, are they meant to be that colour or is it a colouring mistake? It could be for effect and drama, the colorist/Joss/Moline wanted it that way to scare the readers or just to scare Buffy. |

I've got a question about something I just noticed in this issue. Gates' eyes on the last page, are they meant to be that colour or is it a colouring mistake? In Gates' other canonical appearances in "Tales" and #17, his eyes are a weird green-ish color. I'm guessing it was either a coloring error (Madsen just either didn't care enough, or was hard-pressed for time) or it's just because Gates' eyes were reflecting light at that point. I'll take the latter for now... why chalk up an unnecessary error?  |

It's probably just a coloring mistake, Melaka's tattoo is a different color also.

Yeah, it looked like a colouring mistake to me too. Hopefully they fix it before the TPB is released.
