Wow this will be really good if it's made into a video game. I just hope it actually happens *crosses fingers*

I think having the new slayers in the game would be great. For one, they have really unique looks and would just look COOL flipping around and kicking butt in a game. And second, I think the game should take place in the Season 8 era. So it would only make sense to have Satsu, Renee, Leah, etc in it. I'm not so sure that we should have the game take place in the season 8 era. For starter's not all fans of Buffy are fans of the comics. I for one don't read the comics and I find it pointless to put a character in the comic that had hardly any character development in the comics and to top it all off that's dead. I think we should stick to what the fan base as a whole knows and they know the character's from the t.v. show.

Also i would much rather use characters like Anya or spike or even Cordelia than i would satsu or Renee or some other slayers that i don't even know. i really think the majority of people would prefer to be in sunnydale and have well known characters rather than a bunch of wannabe slayers they don't care about running around in some castle.

And second, I think the game should take place in the Season 8 era. So it would only make sense to have Satsu, Renee, Leah, etc in it. Ok we are playing with the older character's and we are playing in places like the magic box, and other Sunnydale places, within the danger room....refer back to the big review... If the game was based around season 8 i think alot less people would buy it Not everyone reads season 8 and when Buffy fans play this game they want to play in well known places such as the library and the magic box not some castle they have never even seen before. Even though it's taking place during season 8, doesn't mean you need to know about season 8 to play the game. You would just have to know that Satsu and Renee are other slayers you can use. And I would want to play as Satsu, I think it would be cool. And besides, Cordelia, Anya, Spike etc are still in the playable character's list, so why can't we just keep in both tv show characters/ season 8 characters? And doesn't have to be a season 8 game with a season 8 plot. It would just have to take place during the time season 8 is happening. Bottom line is it won't matter where the danger room is located.. Sunnydale, Cleveland, or Scotland. And the story won't change much with Satsu, and Renee in it. It would be a cool throw-in for people who have read season 8. And the sales would not go down if it was taken place in season 8. If a fan from the tv show, saw a game labeled "Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Brawl". He's gonna buy it. He just has to know that this takes place after Sunnydale, but you can still play as any of the previous years character's, so it won't bug the fan. If he doesn't know who Satsu is then he will not play as her, that simple.. For someone who's not a fan of the show, the person will buy it because it's a street fighter/mortal combat/soul caliber game.. so I would doubt they would care if it took place during season 8.

Ok yeah i do agree with that but i still think we need to stick to either season 8 or the TV show i want levels like the library and the magic box even Buffy's house They are well known areas and i like them, its weird (IMO) to mix season 8 with TV it just doesn't fit how could it be during the time season 8 is happening but have Anya and Cordelia are we bringing people back from the dead now? the only way i would be ok with that would be if they came back as some sort of spirit and that would only go for people like Kendra and jenny. I love season 8 and playing with characters such as satsu would be fun but i just don't know how it would all work and still be a good game go back to the bottom of page 3. we summed up what we were talking about. We have a plot, and a reason to bring back the character's from other seasons. can someone make a suboard or something? Because once we got a "starting plan" we can go into seperate character moves, levels, location designs, etc..

Then on two player you both pick your people and fight in different levels until someone wins that way you can just have all the characters without having a reason also season 8 levels and people can be added too.

I get what your saying also, but as some people have stated before, you need some kind of plot (or people won't buy it). So really it would be like 20 sec scenes in between battles of story mode, to understand why your fighting this person, and you can pick who you want to play as.

Do you guys think we should start the game as a progression through the levels. Like Level 1 where you're fighting the Master - your only choices are Buffy, Willow, Giles, and Xander?
After each level is won, new people are added to the fight like Cordy and Oz in season 2 in the levels against Spike and The Judge. That each level unlocks a good guy potential character to play. And that after Angelus, Anya, Faith and Spike are defeated that they come over to the good guys side.
I just think it'd be interesting to see the original core 4 put through this journey, meeting all these people again through the mystical f-up of the Danger Room. That they have to go through these battles to win more fighters to their side. Like:
Defeating the Master unlocks Cordy Defeating Evil Spike unlocks Oz Defeating The Judge unlocks Spike Defeating Angelus unlocks Angel ... Defeating Evil Faith unlocks Redemptionista Faith
And the player vs. player option would have all the white hat players unlocked, or should it be based on how far the player has progressed through the levels. I think it'd be cool if the weapons each character had progressed with how many levels they'd beaten, like Buffy would have the hammer after beating Olaf and the Scythe after beating the ubervamp.
I'm okay with Renee and Satsu being unlockable characters, but I think it'd be cool if that only happened after beating the last level around the time of the Slayer Scythe spell. Then the next time around you could start off with Satsu.
Maybe it's unnecessary creating a chronology for the story but I like the rewards effect from progressing through the levels and the idea that it starts out with the original core 4. They're the only ones who are really physically there, where as every other good guy only is there in spirit like being summoned and the Mysta-Danger Room creates a corporeal body for them matching the chronology of when they first joined the Scooby fight in the Buffyverse (like Angel is still a vampire regardless of his status in AtF) but they greater knowledge and fighting skills as their consciousness is from the later timeline.
Lol Mikey we're creating your Willow & Tara reunion in a video game. Plus the Buffy/Angel/Spike reunion.
And I might be over-thinking this, but I like developing stories...it's easy enough to bring it back to a simpler state than leave it underdeveloped.

What should the last battle be? A fight against a horde of ubervamps? It'd be so awesome if we could have multi-player fights. This main boss guy could be like a total puppet master type. He's sitting in the control room messing with everything while the Scoobies are losing their minds in the chaotic Danger Room. Being forced to fight their loved ones, who may or may not be the real people. I like the craziness factor. Like Willow being forced to fight a possessed Tara. I think the puppet master type should only have partial control of the chaos though, which would allow for the characters to really be Tara and Angel once they weren't under his control. Yeah, Smartjoe - still in the Danger Room Mikey, don't you think we could still have a storyline without it really being necessary to play the game? So like your saying, the storyline I pitched esp. the whole "consciousness" thing is kinda involved, but it can be explained in some sidebar or backstory, whatev. Like how in Street Fighter the characters had background and history, but it didn't really matter if you knew all that in order to play.

The last battle would need to be huge something really big
And a quick question has anyone ever played the harry potter games? i know that they are roll playing adventure games but the thing i really like about them is that you can have more than one player like Emmie said you all go fight together and that would be really cool in a Buffy game to have the choice for the actual story to be either single player or multi-player and you and your friends/boyfriend/girlfriend/family can do it together so someone is Buffy someone is willow and so on you can change and swap as you unlock new characters.
But then also have some sort of fight mode on the main menu where you can just pick you characters and fight each other

Ok here I go...
Cutscene A: Willow explaining about the danger room to Buffy.. something goes wrong, the master busted into it.
Level 1: You have to fight as Buffy, Xander, Willow, or Giles to fight the Master. (Once one of them dies, you have to play as someone else, and you keep fighting and you don't lose until all four of them died in the control of you) You unlock Cordelia, to help you, and the Master in free-play mode.
Cutscene B: Willow, Xander, and Buffy talking about a way to contain it..then Evil Spike pops in...
Level 2: You have to fight as Buffy, Xander, Giles, Willow, or Cordelia to fight Spike. (You unlock Spike in Free- Play mode only.
Cutscene C: Simple scene of the group of 5 watching the Judge bust in...
Level 3.: You fight as Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, and Cordy to kill The Judge.. You unlock Oz to help. And the Judge in free play mode.
Should we continue or do something else?

Introductory Scene: Willow is getting ready to present the Danger Room to Buffy, Xander and Giles (who's there for some reason we'll make up), when Buffy asks: "So what is this exactly?" Willow: "Well Xander wants to call it the Danger Room. He's been borrowing issues of the Astonishing X-men from Andrew again." Bufffy: "I thought he quit comics, like cold turkey." Willow: "Nope, he still reads 'em. He's been hiding them inside his girly magazines." Buffy: "Oh. Okaaay. So how does this whozit work again?" Willow: yadda yadda "explains the mystical speaky of how the danger room works" yadda yaddaEnter Xander and Giles.

Dont you think each level should be like each season so Level one: you fight the master Level two: is a bit bigger the judge is no huge threat but you still fight him in the end you fight angelus level 3: you fight faith and then the mayor/snake And so on with each level getting bigger and badder badies and during it all it has cartoon clips that help explain everything you dont walk around like an adventure game you just fight each big bad in a new level so you would fight the master in the library do you get what i mean?

That's the question. How many levels do we want for the game?
Mikey, the clone idea works for me. I don't think an involved explanation is needed. We can just say "it's magic, these guys are here, now fight!"
<pouts> Well yeah, I don't think the scene will go anywhere. But the idea came to me and I had to type it. I just feel like we need a better name than the rip-off Danger Room. Or atleast acknowledge it's a ripoff through Xander's fanboyishness.

You've got the right idea, but I think you're a bit off. Before the Danger Room breach by the actual big bad it will just be Buffy, Willow, Xander, and whoever else we count as a Scooby. No Cordelia, not until after you've beaten the last big boss in the Season 7 era. You can unlock people like Cordelia though, and use her in like...Classic Arcade mode, which won't be attached to the story and be a seperate part of the game. Mikey, so do you see the fighting through the levels with only the original characters that are trapped in the Danger Room? I like the idea that more people get added as playable for each level you beat.
