What if willow at some point in the future gets turned into a vampire, (making her a crazy powerful witch vampire thing) and now they all found out about it and it makes willow go crazy and betray-y. No? yeah thats kinda crazy but anythings possible, the cover definitely does make me think shes gonna be the one to betray buffy. and in anywhere but here she said she wouldnt betray buffy "anymore than she already has" maybe its in evitable in the future and knows it thats what she meant
its most likely just getting her back to the present takes a lot of power though and thats what we are seeing

Why would Willow want to destroy Buffy and Melaka? I still think it's Drusilla. And HOLY CRAP I'm in love with Jo's cover! Very, very realistic and cool.

Smashed, why do you think that Willow can't die? ::::::::::::: On the Jo Chen-cover it looks as if Buffy's eyes are closed and that she's tired/beaten. Willow is probably angry and worried for Buffy. Btw, this might be the most lifelike cover of all. Cover 9 is a close second. Anyone agree? In order for Willow to be in the future, she would have to have survived hundreds and hundreds of years. Idk, Immortality??? Or maybe she teleported but right now IF Dark Willow is the mystery character then I'm going to guess that at some point she achieves immortality or something close to it like Claire Bennet from Hereoes...she can survive anything except a hit to head that may effect the brain.

But you're probably right about Willow going dark because she needed power to help Buffy.

Wow I am not making any predictions becuse I am very surprised to see this as the cover. I didnt expect it at all. It is a awesome awesome cover really cool looking. I am not sure where the story is going I am prettty sure this is the end of the road for Kennedy and Willow. That I am really sure about.

This cover is the best cover Jo has done so far! I can't believe how great Willow looks, and Buffy's reflection in her eye definitely looks like Buffy has been beaten down. Her eyes look closed. Maybe she's dead? Who knows!
This is gonna look great blown up as a poster on my wall.

Notice that in Georges Jeanty's variant cover the future city is on the left and over with Buffy we have the normal city with no floating cars... and a BTVS belt buckle. I didn't see that at first. Thanks for pointing that out. Btw, awesome banner.

I love the Jo cover!!
And now I think the person standing next to Harth is Willow.

Pat and Mikey and kimtaro and I were jamming on this subject this morning, and I personally agre with the general notion that the "betrayal" we saw in 8.10 is exactly what we're seeing reflected in Willow's eyes on the 8.19 cover -- it's Willow that betrays Buffy, but it's Willow a couple hundred years in the future. It is close, it is unexpected, and it doesn't dick around with the Scooby dynamic in the here and now, all of which is good.
If that's a "work around" to the betrayal, I am glad to have DarkWillow back instead of Drusilla.

It sounds a lot like Dark Willow and Drusilla, but I'm leaning more towards Dru because of the variant cover for issue #17 has a woman standing next to Harth, in a dress that looks like something Dru wears. Then again, Willow is wearing lots of flowy dresses lately, so who knows maybe this is why, to confuse us. Great covers though. Love the Magic-filled Willow angry watching Buffy being betrayed I'm gonna guess. I mean, what a fantastic Willow likeness, even the little Buffy one looks really good. Brilliant stuff as always.

Um could the whole betrayal be Willow of the future? With the cover revealed it looks like it really could be Willow when I was 100% sure before it would be Dru.
The only good thing that can come out of this is that Buffy finds out how/why Willow went evil again and can stop her in the present.
