It would not cheapen anything they had. Regardless of where they are nowadays, it doesn't mean they didn't truly love eachother.

Willow and Oz did make each other happy, and maybe they were in love when Willow thought she was starught, but look at how much more confident she was when she was with Tara compared to how she was with Oz. With Oz she didn't seem confident and comfortable with herself, but with Tara, she was more tough and fierce. In terms of the gaydar comment, does anybody really believe there is such thing as a gaydar? How much hints would you need to make a well-thought out decision about who is and who isn't?

In terms of the gaydar comment, does anybody really believe there is such thing as a gaydar? How much hints would you need to make a well-thought out decision about who is and who isn't? I was waiting for this to come up. What I call gaydar, others call intuition. Mine's broken, btw, unless we're talking about a complete flame. But intuition is just that, intuition. There's rarely a well-thought out explanation for a gut feeling. If there is a basis for a decipherable pattern, then it can be argued that it's just simple logic, and not intuition. For Andrew, gaydar is hardly required since there is a logical train of thought that may lead one to the conclusion that he is gay. But even before the Anderson Cooper comment whilst wearing the "Spice World" t-shirt, my very broken gaydar/intuition pinged quite a bit.

Most of the time you don't need a gaydar, you just know somebody is gay when they are... well let's put it this way, gay looking or acting.

Yes, that definitely falls under the logic category. Unless what I described is actually what you call having a gaydar.

As mentioned in my previous post... I see gaydar more as an intuitive thing. When there are no real obvious signs, but you just know anyway. As I said... mine's broken.

Well what I was saying is that 80% of the time it's pretty obvious and when it's not I guess there's still possibility of eye contact. So you don't need intuition that much. I'm talking like I'm an expert or something but I really ain't.

You can however fit the stereotype bill to a T. And I think that's what mathieu meant.

oh, totally
but the stereotype really is the minority, so i don't agree that it's obvious 80% of the time

Sometimes I believe in Gaydar and sometimes I dont. At the current moment, I do. Because frankly, there is just something about someone else that says that they are even if they dont know it. And if you base sexuality off the fluid thought, it makes another person a little more "blippy" on the radar. Even if they dont know it.

Hmm. I hope Oz isn't gay. Don't get me wrong, it'd be cool, but I kinda like how Willow loved Oz THEN Tara and became a lesbian. If Oz was gay/bi then that would of made them both gay deep down, which would kinda cheapen their relationship to me. I know there's the argument that Willow isn't gay ect but I beleive she is at this point.
Anyway, just wanted to hand out the kudos' to all the gay Buffy fans yo~ I didn't know there were so many:D

I get what you mean Eco, Oz could be gay, but that would just make things more complicated.
I recently watched Brokeback Mountain and thought it was really well done. The way the two guys started off as friends, and how Innis would only really open up to Jack, and then boom they just gave into their deep down attraction for each other, and how they turned out to be the "one" for each other instead of the wives they had. See the way tthat the two guys started off as friends and then evolved into more is just like Willow and Tara's relationship. I think that if there was a gay relationship out there in the media that was done so tastefully and beautifully, then it would break down some of the stigmas out there and make more guys comfortable with the idea of questioning their sexuality.

I as well think that it would cheapen their initial relationship.
I think if they had a gay male character, that it should be another character. NOT Oz.

IN the 'predators & prey' preview, we have a hint when buffy & andrew talk about daniel craig! Awkward!! Are the writers building up to a coming out for him or what?! At this point, even with just the clues in season 8 alone, I gather we're in for a big coming out lol

I realy think that that would be one of the funniest moves they could make with the character
every one would be like "Your straight!?! We all thought you were gay." "What, no, I'm just really metrosexual."
It would be so funny
