I was shipping this relationship during Becoming when Spike and Buffy joined a "rock band" and I was so hoping that they would get together and Spike would be more of a regular character. This relationship was hot, angsty, emotional and touching.

Favorite moments: I loved the kiss at the end of Tabula Rasa. The whole moment just kind of swept me away, with the Michelle Branch song, and everything. I always get chills when I watch that scene.

Also love the scene in Gone, when Spike stops her attack with a spatula, and tells her the flapjack is not ready to be flipped. Hot.

Everyone always thinks Buffy is little miss perfect, even Buffy herself. What was it that Faith used to call her? Little Miss Tightly-Wound? If nothing else, Spike certainly unwound her.

I love Spuffy! Its the only Buffy (the character) relationship that I really liked. Bangel was just boring and way to hollywood for my taste. Riley was just a tool and totally threatened by the fact that Buffy could, and did, kick his ass and that she is stronger than him. Spike and Buffy had an amazing, awesome relationship.

I honestly believe that Buffy loved Spike at the end of the series if not a before then. She told him about her mom being sick before she really told anyone else, she took Dawn and Joyce to Spike to hide from Glory, she trusted him to protect Dawn against Glory at the end of season 5, etc. In my personal opinion, there is no way that Buffy would have done all that stuff had she not, at the very least, cared for him.

If she didn't love him, than it was the closest you could get to love.

On Spikes side, he got his soul back for her! He felt so bad for the attempted rape, he went and got his soul back! As oppose to Angel, who only got his back because of a curse. If that's not love I'm not sure what is. I think Buffy, started to see just how much he loved her and in turn how much SHE loved him when she realized he did that for her.

Okay. Here we go. Time for me to talk about my favorite people. These guys. --->

Buffy's relationship with Angel was too easy. It was a fairytale, and right for where she was at the time. She was still in high school, not yet having to understand the harshness of life. As she grew up, she grew and was able to handle such a relationship as her's with Spike. I watched Buffy denying up and down I would NEVER like Spike and I would be a Bangel fan until the moment I died. But by about season 5 I was so into Spuffy that I cried when I saw Spike fall to his knees at the sight of Buffy's body. I like Spike more than Angel because even before he got his soul back [that he actually worked for] Spike still had human qualities such as loyalty and love. Angelus is the true imbodiment of what vampires are supposed to be; evil, malicious, merciless, bloody fiends. Spike just didn't hold up to that. Yes, he was evil, but as Spike said to Angel in Angel, Drusilla may have sired him but Angel(us) was what made Spike into a monster.

Why didn't Spike brood for centuries after he got his soul? Because he was sorry about what he did and wasn't stupid enough to think wallowing was going to change the things he did. He'd be more usefull if he moved on from his sins. Repent and be done. (I'd also like to add that I believe the church scene in Beneath You is Spike's repentance to God and to Buffy.)

Which season did you like Spike/Buffy best in?
Seven, definatly. By that point they had so many layers in their relationship that I reveled in it.

Which is your favourite Spike/Buffy episode?
Beneath You.

What are their top 3 (or 5) most romantic scenes?
1. Church scene in Beneath You.
2. When Buffy confesses her love in Chosen.
3. When Buffy asks Spike to stay with her and just hold her in Touched.
4. When Spike tells Buffy how long she's been gone in Flooded.
5. In season five when unsouled Spike comforts a crying Buffy when he really just came to kill her in Fool For Love.

What would you like to see in their inevitable Season 8 reunion?
For them to kiss, make love, and make up.

Who do you like better: Spike or Buffy?
Spike. He has more depth to his character than Buffy does, I think.

Will you keep 'shipping Spike/Buffy if it's made clear in the text that it's still one-sided?
Yup. Because one of the things I've learned from watching Buffy and the last season of Angel... DO NOT TRUST JOSS! xD

Do you think Angel and Spike will show up in different Season 8 issues, or in the same one?
Same, probably. Then again, with the way After The Fall is going... I got no clue.

Are there any other Whedonverse 'ships that remind you of Spike/Buffy?
Not really, no. Cept maybe Xander/Anya. They had amazing depth too.

Well last week was quite exciting because we got official confirmation from Joss that Spike would appear in the Buffy comics.
Anyone care to speculate in how this reunion might go?
Also do you think Spike will appear around the season8 finale or simply in season9?
How far along has the script been written for season8, i thought they were up to 36 or so?
Do we know if season8 will end on a cliffhanger?
It could be that they will be super secretive about Spike's return because the huge Twilght suprise was ruined.

I think this does bode very well for our ship that Spike will be the last huge character to come back to Buffy.

With the reveal that Angel is Twilight and very pro-bangel covers it does seem that Angel will first play a big role. Eitherway i hope Buffy comes out of the confrontation less conflicted.

Also dark future Willow said to Fray that the most important men in Buffy and Fray's lives are vampires. At the time we assumed she meant both Spike and Angel, shippers ofcourse would rather think it was only one of them.

I'd be guessing on most of your questions if I was too answer them but I do know 100% that Buffy season 8 will not end on a cliff hanger and season 9 will be a fresh new season with a new but shorter story.

Just to be clear I am a Spike fan before Spuffy fan. I am not that big a fan of Buffy herself! Kinda like SKate - I LOVE Sawyer - not a big fan of Kate - but I want them together in the end because it's what Sawyer wants.

But no one can deny the chemistry that existed between Buffy and Spike. I came into my Spuffy love right around the time Spike discovered he was inlove with Buffy! I guess that's why I love this Ship so much. (<---See Avatar and quote!!)

Unlike Bangel, I wasn't "lead" into the relationship from the moment I saw the Big Bad Vampire and the Vampire Slayer. Instead, like Spike I woke up along the way and went, "Wow! Wouldn't it be cool if Buffy and SPIKE got together?!?!?" And BOOM! Or more like KA-BOOM! It exploded on the TV before my very eyes.

And I've been so amazed at the character change in Spike! Always knew he was a different from all the other vampires. And to see how far he has come over the seasons - he gets better and better without losing that vampire edge I love about him!

Which season did you like Spike/Buffy best in?

Seasons 5 and 7. I love S5 because of how hard he tries for her - how loyal he is for her, how he fights by her side, and how he grieves her death.

And S7 is so beautiful and so sad. I love how he returns. How Buffy seems to cling to him for strength and support - WOW! What an amazing team they made!

Which is your favorite Spike/Buffy episode?
Fool for You and Beneath You.

The two almost each other with the "Beneath Me"/"Beneath You".

The "banter" between the two in Fool for Love is so GOOD! Especially at the end when she says, "It will never be you." I'm always quick with the "Oh yes it will - Slay-ah"

And my favorite part in Beneath You is when Spike tells Buffy, "Shame on you Buffy." I love that he throws her idea back in her face. This is when my Spike love outshines my Spuffy love! How dare she question his getting his soul!?!? How many times did she tell him in S6 that he was a soulless thing!!

I love that he reminds her he did it for her. "It's what you wanted." But then I also love that he turns to God (or TPTB) and shouts, "It's what you wanted!" So, not just an acknowledgment of Buffy's influence but also of a more divine influence (perhaps?) as well.

What are their top 3 (or 5) most romantic scenes?

1) Someone mentioned the kiss in Tabula Rasa - WOW! What a hot kiss! Every time I see it I get into it!
2.) The "mini-video" to Bush in "Dead Things" where Spike can "sense" her through the door - both their hands caressing the door.
3.) Dead Things again - the balcony scene!
4.)When Buffy tells Spike she's not ready for him to "not be here".
5.) When Spike tells Buffy that the night they spent sleeping in each other's arms was the "best night of my life".

What would you like to see in their inevitable Season 8 reunion?

I think that sounds pretty awesome to me!! However - there needs to be a bit of fight in there somewhere!!

But I do want a discussion about the "I love you" and I want Buffy to understand how he couldn't go to her after his return from the Hellmouth.

As I said above - I am a Spike lover first!! I know this sounds terrible - but I have never liked Buffy! In Season 1 I liked Willow, S2 I liked when Spike and Dru were the new Big Bad! S3 - my favorite character was Faith (and after Spike she is my second favorite character). From S4 until present day it has been Spike. Buffy annoys me...

Yes - because ultimately I want Spike to be loved for who he is and has been. I wouldn't mind if he and Beck have a little some'in, some'in in the new Spike series... I wouldn't mind that at all!!

I think they both need to have their "introduction" issue - I mean Angel has some " 'splaining to do"! And Buffy and Spike need their own issue as well - maybe even a mini-arc!! I would like to see them get away from everything to talk. Maybe a "mission" that also turns into a soul-searching discussion for both.

But I think we will have all three in one issue if Spike is going to have to help Buffy fight Angel/Twilight!

Not in the Whedonverse. The only other Ship this reminds me of is the SKate Ship from LOST.

And - this is speculation on S6 LOST not a spoiler - I think Sawyer will again sacrifice himself to save everyone - especially Kate - just as Spike sacrificed himself in the Hellmouth.

I just hope they wait till the near last scene of the last episode like they did with Spike.

Yeah, that's my hope too. A Spuffy issue + Jo Chen cover would be like the best thing ever.
I also believed Spike would appear in season9 but having had all these little clues troughout the season concerning Spike. Plus we have had multiple confirmations that Twilight's goals will bring huge changes to the future of slayers and vampires. Spike is one of the most powerful,known,important vampires, meaning the huge upcoming battle concerns him too.
Atleast we got confirmation that Joss can use Spike as much as he wants, Spike will always be part of the Buffyverse regardless of being on the last season of Angel.
If he appears in the final issues of season 8 or the beginning of season 9 i just hope he sticks around for a while(preferably for a very long time ;D).

If Spike does return in Season 8, I imagine it will be towards the end of an issue when Buffy and Twilight are fighting, Twilight is winning and goes to say something, but a crowbar slams him in the head and Buffy looks up to see Spike saying something witty and she'll be like 'Spike?'...well, I can only imagine

I kinda am a fan of Spuffy but only in season 7 , i didn't like thier relationship in S6.
I liked there friends/enemies thing they had going on from S2 and S4 and S5.
