This is my favorite couple ever on the history of TV. <3 I'll share one of my favorite videos of them. It's absolutely riveting and gorgeous with the editing. Oh my god, I was just coming here to post this! I came across this randomly and I've seen it 5 times so far and each time I can't keep my eyes dry. It's simply the most beautiful spuffy music video I've seen. It's so beautiful... sigh.  |

So I was just wondering if anyone else is feeling a little bummed about the unmasking of Twilight. Not that I was hoping it was Spike or anything, just that the new season 8 art and the new forum header is making me a little sad, and nostalgic for Spuffy.

No you're not the only one. Honestly for me the whole Buffy and Angel reunion thing is played out. We've had like a dozen of them already. Give us our Spuffy reunion.

The comic artist/writers are such Bangel lovers. There are quite a few scenes with them despite Spike playing a crucial role in Buffy's life as well.
The revealing of Twilight actually is bittersweet. I believe this is enough to push Buffy off the edge of trusting Angel--however this depends on where they are going with the story. Does Angel have a soul as Twilight?
In addition, Riley did help Twilight and it's another slap in the face for Buffy. I'm a fan who always will run to her defense despite those fans who find her to be "too whiny" or "unfair". She's the slayer and it's a lone wolf job. Of course she has her friends and family in the picture, yet in the end Buffy in battle only has herself. It's what keeps a slayer alive and yes she has an army--however her slayer mentality will not change.
Spike is a warrior and so is she. So for the love of God already give Buffy her effin' warrior.
By the way Drusilla, that video makes me so weepy every single time! It's edited so beautifully and depicts their relationship well.

^^I find it hard to believe too. I have a feeling it's going to be a thing (assuming JW wasn't lying when he said Spike was going to be season 8) where he pops up in the end and then cliffhanger.

I think we need to remain optimistic. Perhaps not everyone remembers this or wasn't in the fandom yet but back in 2002. After seeing red, almost everyone was against spuffy shippers. It seemed as if there was no way in hell that Joss could ever make it work, yet all along seeing red was simply a means to an end. To have Spike get his soul back, evolve to the next level. And it worked, Spike along with having an amazing hero's journey in season 7 was also the main love interest for Buffy that season. Now about season 8, i first thought that Joss was holding Spike back so he could write Spike himself in the final arc. But now i suspect that season 9 will be Spike's as season 8 is Angel's. The only showing we have of current Spike in season 8 is the possible flashfoward scene we got from Allie. And it's in direct connection to Willow having gotten her powers back. Willow told us that that event hadn't happend yet but it would in the not so distant future. My guess would be Buffy and Spike will slay that huge demon in season 9 which returns Willow her powers in the past(31). So maybe the current situation seems very much down in our favor but we should all remember that Joss recently stated that Spike is just as important to Buffy as Angel is. And Allie said in the last Q&A that no ship will be made to look better then the other. This ofcourse doesn't change that this will probably be the thoughest time for us. Soon we'll probably get bangel sex and after issue 35 Joss's arc doesn't start until september. I really hate the slowness of comics  On the other hand, if it really is like we've been told that the future of slayers and vampires is at stake here then i can't really see Spike not being a part of that. So who knows maybe Spike will enter the story in Joss's final arc(and hopefully remain in season9  . |

He probably said that just to keep us happy and keep reading the issues for Spike's appearance. Right now, it's kinda like 'Spike who?', just like it was 'Cordelia who?' in Angel s5

I do know what you mean, but I have faith in Joss. I mean I read twilight #33 and I was like "really? He's actually going to say that Bangel is so great they glow?" But he's been very fair to Spuffy in the past and has said things that even sound like he leans toward Spuffy himself, so I have faith that we'll get some decent Spuffy soon enough, and that my friends I definitely can't wait for.

From the yelling at the pages, and the urge to chuck the damn thing, I almost ripped this copy. --- "Hey stop doing that.... WTH?!? Grr.....? With the flying and the universe shattering sex, I just so could not accept this. But I'm going to jump on Kratos' Bandwagon O' Optimism and hope for my Spuffy reunion. And the glowing bit does sound too fairytailish to me, Executrix. What's next? Sparkling? And as much as I want to see the other side and appreciate the Bangel relationship for what they had, I can't do that knowing that there's a chance for Spuffy. |

I'm with you Drusillacakes. I'm just waiting for Spuffy, so it's hard to appreciate what they're doing, but I'm giving it time and as much patience as I can muster until our spuffy day comes.

Exellent and as expected the last big character to enter the story and will be written by Joss himself, Spike. Hopefully Spike will stick around for season 9 sans Angel and become part of the team again. Spike+Scoobies+Buffy=  Cool avatar Night Lord! |

Cheers, Kratos. I wanna see what Spike has been up to and what he's gonna do in Season 8 for the finale. And if he's around in season 9, well, bonus then, seeing as how I've given up on the Angel series and am kinda tired of waiting for the Spike series
