actually I think james marsters was the best thing that ever happened to buffy, but aly would be a close second  |

I've seen it, and I'm whatevers about it. By the time I saw it I had watched the whole series and grown attached to Aly in the role so I can't give a fair assessment.

Omg im so glad that they redid the first ep, not only did i not like the orginal willow they script was so sad, i almost cried lol, but it got better thankfully  |

Yeah...she was a horrible actress...that was the problem, not her weight. I totally agree. I would've been okay with her if she weren't so...flat and boring as an actress.

It felt odd seeing her playing Willow.
And the Library was just too over the top

I saw it, and I hated that Willow character, and I bet it's not even the actoresses fault, I like many other people grew attached to Alyson playing Willow, I can't think of another person that could.

I saw it years ago. While yes, Riff's acting could have been better, Nicky wasn't much of a notch above her. I think a big part of the problem was that they were supposed to be best friends but they didn't really seem to have any sort of on-screen chemistry. I think Aly did a marvelous job and if it wasn't for her, Nicky may not have improved as much as he had. That may sound mean/harsh, but that's just how it works sometimes.

*hugs Aly* I couldn't get through the pilot the last time I tried. I got to Xander talking to Willow about homework and I had to close the window. I just couldn't watch it... the acting was terrible and seeing Willow, my favorite character, played in such a way was breaking my heart. I had to watch an episode of Buffy to feel better.

Ive actually seen the unaired pilot and she didnt do all that great. She was stiff. ALy was a MUCH better Willow |

I don't think James was the best thing at ALL. His character took over, and I thought his arc was boring and kind of a rip off of Angel's.

Just seach Buffy Pilot. I think it's in like 5 parts. It's awful. I'm surprised the show even got picked up with that for the pilot. |

It's funny when you compare the Buffy pilot to the Veronica Mars pilot. Wow. And VM got canceled after 3 seasons.
