Julie Benz looked better on Angel than she did on Buffy. And I've never seen Dexter, so I can't really comment on that. But still, JB is hot, especially when she's all vampy. And I mean when she was a vampire, not vamped out lol

The few years between Season 4 and Season 7 were good to Eliza - when she came back to Buffy/Angel, she looked really good. The wavy hair and minimalist look definitely looks great on her.

She also looked good in Season 4, when she returned, but IMO she didn't look as hot as she did when she went over and did those few episodes on Angel where she ended up going to prison. She still looked pretty young, but the brown leather jacket and black jeans and heavy eyeliner, and all that angst directed at Buffy, were really working for her.

If Season Eight were live action, I'm sure she'd just continue to look even better, judging by the hotness she's working over on Dollhouse. Some of those outfits, though... pfeh

Do I watch Buffy because of the hotness? No, no, no. Do I think the hotness is there and enjoy it while watching? Yes, yes, yes!

Let's see...

1. Buffy - everytime except Season 1 with the weird clothes and weird haircut.
2. Willow - can't help myself but have a huge crush on Willow. So cute and sexy! And I'm part of the minority of people who like her especially with shorter hair in Season 4 (as you may have noticed ;D ).
3. Fred - another cute & sexy mix.
4. Lilah - you know what I'm talking about, right?
5. Jenny - I'm suprised no one has mentioned her before.

The rest of the cast is also very attractive.

And the men? I guess...

1. Spike - Buffy + Spike = hotness as hell. (But no, that's not why I ship Spuffy. )
2. Doyle
3. Wesley

Accents! Looove them!

Andrew, Xander and Giles have their cute moments.

I really like how taste varies among present fellow-Buffsters.

I'd also like to point out my philosophy that no one, and I mean no one is really ugly. And not just in Buffyverse. Peace.

I've never watched any show based upon the looks of the cast. It's the concept, stories, writing and performances that make me want to watch something. Of course, if the cast includes some lovely ladies then that's just a bonus.

I never lusted after any of the women in Buffy...except for Eliza Dushku. As soon as Faith turned up then that was it. I was smitten. I still am by the lovely Eliza. I never fancied SMG. She's very cute and is wonderful as the Bufster, but that's it for me. Charisma Carpenter is a certainly a beautiful woman but just didn't really do it for me either. And Aly Hannigan is so damn cute and sweet that I just always wanted to give her a big platonic hug.

Gotta say, in Angel when Julie Benz came back as Darla? Wowzers! She is a gorgeous lady. She made much more of an impression on me than she did on Buffy. Probably cuz in Angel she had time to make Darla incredibly sexy. That voice of hers certainly helps. Hmmm...I think I see a pattern here. I must have a thing for the bad girls. ;D

I don't watch Buffy for the hot people, but it's like the icing on the cake-- it just makes the cake so much yummier.

Anyway, I think SMG is really pretty, but mostly I was lusting after her fashion. Especially in S2 when she started to dress way better. Also Eliza Dushku, Charisma Carpenter, Amy Acker, Bianca Lawson, Julie Benz, Juliet Landau, and no one mentioned Clare Kramer yet! She's a stunner.

The men-- James Marsters is HOT. He pulls off the accent, and the leather jacket. I mean, you really can't go wrong with leather. I love Nathan Fillion too. I think he and James Marsters top my list for the men followed by Christian Kane. Although I think DB, Riley and Graham (that was Rileys' friend) are attractive, I found them too chiseled for my liking.

Ultimately, my theory is if Joss Whedon hired them, you wouldn't kick them out of bed. I mean, seriously-- would you say no to icing?

I agree, Clare Kramer is beautiful, even more so in person. Same with Julie Benz. The camera doesn't do these women justice, really! Man, if I ever meet Eliza in person I might faint from being in the presence of her beauty! I mean, she is already such a knock out on screen, I imagine she is even more beautiful in the flesh! And James and Nathan are even more handsome in person. They just ooze charm and sexiness! James' lack of an accent almost throws me off a little bit (which is a testament to how convincingly he does it)! And his singing voice is to die for!

The thing I like about Buffy and as others have said, there is no denying that the women are beautiful, but none of them have too over the top, unrealistic, fake-plasticy-modely looks. While they are very beautiful it is still a beauty that is realistic. They still seem relatable, approachable, girl next door types. And I love the little quirks and idiosyncrasies. For example, SMG's nose, she does not have a perfect nose, but is her nose and I love it (personally, I think it is the cutest nose in the world ). It makes her character that much more realistic and relatable that she does not have that "model perfect nose." I love that Tara is not uber skinny. It sends a message that you don't have to be stick thin to be a very beautiful woman. I think all the women have a girl next door type quality in their own way. Even the men are sexy without being too over the top, imo.

And I agree about lusting after SMG's fashion. I always wished I could dress more like her.

Yes, kinkiest and sexiest show in history, every type of sex imagineable and a premise that just lent itself to everything from S&M to historical romance.

Even by Hollywood standards an amazingly beautiful cast, I remember one year you had ED, SMG, CC, AH, JB and EC all in FHM's top 100 sexiest women and SMG actually won it one year (and AH came in at 11 which is pretty damn good going)

I respected her too much to find Buffy a turn on...but I never had that problem with Willow. From the day she wore the shears number she was my first TV crush She was so cute! And vamp Willow, mmmmmmm. Satsu for me, even though she's a comic character is the hottest Buffy character so far

I always had a huge crush on Oz. I'm fairly certain that Xander was my first crush on BTVS, way back when I was like 13, lol. Now I find Oz, Spike, Angel, Groo (with the short hair), Doyle, and Lindsay hot.

Glenn Quinn was a good looking guy, it was a real shame what happened to him, it would have been nice to have seen him on the show again sometime, but it just wasn't meant to be.

I'll admit I have a bit of a girl-crush on Eliza Dushku, always have. And that's saying a lot for me.

Oddly enough, I was not incredibly attracted to any of the characters for the most part.
Don't get me wrong, David Boreanaz was pretty much a mega-hottie in Buffy season 1. And Doyle was a cutie. And all of the girls are gorgeous in a non-over the top way. But I get more excited about the characters' personalities than I do about their looks. Which is generally how I am I guess. I get used to characters, and then I get somewhat desensitized to their good looks.

Well, the in-series explanation would be that, having known her since they were 5, he had sort of a mental block against seeing her "that way." (The out-of-series explanation would be the same reason that Xander himself is awfully good-looking for an unpopular high school dork, and just about every "homely best friend" character in TV and movies is actually very attractive.)

Getting back to the original question, though, here's a five-word answer: Willow and Kennedy in "Touched."

Actually, how about five more words: "Spread beneath my Willow tree."
