Pro-stalker? Someone who likes stalkers? I think he meant professional.

Speaking of stalkers. I wish Buffy had more of a realistic reaction when it came to stalkers. Don't get wrong. Angel is a hottie. The fact that Buffy use to wake up in the middle of the night and not be freaked out about Angel in her room or just staring at her is creepy as hell. Buffy was usually glad to see him. Really?

The fact that Buffy use to wake up in the middle of the night and not be freaked out about Angel in her room or just staring at her is creepy as hell. Buffy was usually glad to see him. Really? True. I can't remember her reactions in all of those scenes, but I remember her overall reaction, which was pretty forgiving toward Angel's personal space issues. I'll keep that in mind for the next Buffy-fan who says that Bella from Twilight got pushed around all the time, and that Buffy is perfect and would never be pushed around (regarding the eternal useless BtVS and Twilight comparison). I'm not saying Buffy is more of a pushover than Bella, but it will be nice to have this in my arsenal. Buffy did say the first time Angel stalked her that it was a turn off, but after that she seemed fine with it. Could be because he kept helping her and just seemed harmless. Also, when she was stalked by a real bad guy, Spike the obsessive murderer who can't take no for an answer, she did act more appropriate. Still think she should have staked him tough. But that's another topic.

Oh the spike thing. I see angry people. I hope not. You should totally be allowed to voice your opinion. I had just read the Buffy # 36 thread, so I guess that's why posted. I love debate but not conflict. Just worried for ya!

For Buffy to stake Spike after he got chipped would have been out of character. She doesn't seem able to bring herself to kill anyone who isn't an immediate threat ... hence why it was up to Giles to kill Ben. ("Because she's a hero, you see. She's not like us.")

Don't know if this was mentioned in these 44 pages but...
I absolutely hate, and I mean HATE the Buffy/Angelus duel in "Becoming part 2".
I hate it for one simple, yet glaringly obvious reason:
The swordfighting double for Angelus looks exacly like Xander, all thanks to the shoulders and hairline.
It is one thing to use a double (like Mike Massa, stunt double for David Boreanaz since, well, forever and he pulls off the look very well), it's another thing to use a double - clearly not Massa - who looks like one of the other characters/actors on the show. During season 2, Xander was thinner than usual and had a short haircut with a distinctive hairline, and the Angelus double just resembled that too closely. It was like Buffy vs. Xander in all the overhead shots.

I agree, it's in character for Buffy to let Spike live (at least season 1-6 Buffy). Doesn't mean it was a smart thing to do. She should have seen Seeing Red coming.

But she did have a massive crush on him at the time. I mean if some guy I really liked started stalking me I wouldn't have a problem with it. It tends to start being a problem when it's some guy you don't know or don't like.

If a girl I really liked stalked me I would be chill for like a minute or two until i realized she was actually stalking me and then I would freak the frack out. and my crush would be gone like that.

I think it's partly a principle/moral thing. Stalking is bad, and should be treated as such. Sure, Angel probably did it mainly because he was worried about Buffy, but it was still creepy. I'm not saying he deserved to go to prison, but he deserved to be told off.
Of course, what is harrassing today might be flirting tomorrow, because what was flirting yesterday is harrassment today, so I guess it's up to each and everyone to decide how creepy stalking actually is.

You must remember there is a very fine line between being creepy and being romantic. I watch some films and the girl is all like 'oh that's soo romatic!' and I'm like no that's just plain creepy... But then other films I think it's romantic and the characters think it's creepy.

It seems to be that way for most flirting. It's all about perspective, yours, the flirt and the flirt...ee's.
Your boss says you blouse is cute, you can sue him if it makes you feel uncomfortable, but if he says it to the right employee, they might end up happily married, even tough other people think she should have sued him.

Sometimes a vampire would bite someone and they'd die instantly, other times they'd drink from them for ages and then when they stop the human is still alive. What's that all about?

This reminds me of when The Master drank from Buffy vs. Angel drinking from Buffy or Dracula drinking from Buffy.
