how would a move to fx work? Do they show new episodes of Criminal Intent on FX?? I don't think I have ever seen that show on that channel but I guess all I watch on fx is Nip Tuck so I don't watch that often.

No clue how it works, just that a network show got moved to cable. So it's possible.

Ratings have been released for last night's episode:
Episode 1 - 4.7 million, 2.0 in 18-49 demo. Episode 2 - 4.2 million, 1.7 in 18-49 demo. Episode 3 - 4.1 million, 1.6 in 18-49 demo.
I hope FOX still wants to air an episode after AI at some point, as the show really needs it.

I think the best thing to do for the show right now is to show Episode 6 (once it's released) after that weeks American Idol episode. Episode 6 starts Joss's half of the show where he's in full control and Fox gave up. That could draw a lot of people in to how good the show actually is.

i like that plan. i don't know if the show has any 'to be continued...' episodes in joss's post 6 episodes but that would be hella smart to show those after idol, 2 nights in a row. that could attract a ton of viewers!
i a thinking that the ratings are going to plateau around 4 million with a 1.5 share.

At least it didn't drop a lot. Hopefully it stables off here and then starts rising. I really hope the FOX thinking about airing an episode after Idol rumor is true.

Does anyone know how much round about the show costs to make, it's not as if there are a lot of special effects, a lot of it is straight acting on a set or out on location so maybe these ratings are reasonable for this type of show. Keep positive people and spread the word.

It's been said on TV by the Numbers that the budget for each episode is $1.5 million, FOX's cheapest scripted show along with Terminator.

thats good! if it isn't very expensive to produce, maybe it will look more appealing to fox What is the average cost to produce whatever they would replace dollhouse with if it were cancled? A reality show for example. Something along the lines of Deal or No Deal or Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader.

Something along the lines of Deal or No Deal or Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader. That's where the bad comes in. FOX can produce those shows season long with the budget of one or two Dollhouse episodes. FOX has also aired House repeats in the timeslot, and those are around what Dollhouse is getting without FOX paying a thing. Dollhouse's demo is pretty much .1 above them.

The episode is now up on iTunes, so that is another way to support this show! Is it still number one, even three weeks later, are any of the other episodes in the top 10. lol Imagine if the top 10 was just all Dollhouse episodes, that would be coooool. Is it even possible. i don't know much about the 'buying' part of I Tunes, I just use it to play music.

I've been watching iTunes the past two days. Yesterday, Saturday, Ghost was NOT up in the Top 100, 'Target' was at the 48 spot. 'Stage Fright' was at 24. I checked back and 'Stage Fright' jumped to 7, and 'Target' jumped to 22. Today, Sunday, I checked, and 'Ghost is back on the list at 28, 'Target' is at 22, and 'Stage Fright' is at 3. So even though it's not doing so hot on television...it's doing rather well online. XD

For example, NBC has aired episodes of "Monk" (USA) and "Battlestar Galactica" (Sci Fi) in the past, because the networks are all owned by NBC/Universal. FX has had a "Prison Break" marathon before as well, because it is owned by Fox.

www.thrfeed.com/2009/03/dollhouse-dvr.htmlDVR are numbers are in for Ghost. It gave Dollhouse a 30% increase, making the demo go up from a 2.0 to a 2.6. This is GREAT news, hopefully FOX takes them into consideration.

They BETTER take them into consideration. This is very good news. Do you they usually count with other shows?

The fact that they stuck this show on in the Friday Death Slot, when nobody from the target demographic is watching TV, indicates to me that Fox was counting on the DVR and download numbers right from the start. And this proves that concept.
Maybe the current Fox suits aren't the same collection of nimrods they were back in "Firefly's" day.
That places the premiere at over 6 million TV viewers (not counting downloads, and it was the #1 download). If episodes 2 and 3 get the same kinds of DVR numbers, that places them both well over 5 million, which is what Buffy averaged in its best season.

I'm very reassured by this good news. I only hope that FOX manages to move ep 6 to be paired with American Idol this season to give Dollhouse a final boost in locking down an audience. Check out this open letter by gossi at Whedonesque that explains why it'd be a good move.
