I voted yes, but not in Season 8. I think it made good for a series finale, and I find it interesting for the plot in Season 8, but by the end of this Season 8 I'd like it to be reversed. The idea of a Slayer is so much more powerful when there's only one (or two).

no no no no no! This will and should NEVER happen. I cant fathom that some actually want to depower all these girls!? Yikes, it seems alot missed the whole point of Buffy the Vampire slayer. I agree with everyone who said that if that spell is reversed it would not only ruin the end of the TV show but the series as a whole.

I don,t know if I WANT the Slayer spell to be reversed, but I think it could be, because it would be a logical way to get from Buffy to Fray. Why was there no Slayer called before Fray? Because the power is limited, and it was given to 1'800 girl at once, so it took for it to become powerful enough to empower a new SLayer. Just a tought...

I think it should end. All power has to come from somewhere. Where did/is all the power for all these slayers come from?

I voted yes but not in Season 8. Or maybe I should change my mind. It seems like the Slayer spell caused a lot of problems, and will continue to do so. Maybe it's a loose end that needs to be tied up.

Yes, I want it reversed so there can be more small scale stories with the main characters and not some random slayer I don't care about. The only problem with reversing the spell is the final episode of the show would lose a little something because of it. I'm conflicted.

I think he writers of the television series came up with the best possible outcome by activating all the potentials to full slayer strength. It made the most sense since it was the end of the show and there were no immediate plans to continue Buffy cannon.
Although I like reading the comics and following along, it's still a lot harder of a pill to swallow. I'm so used to the Scoobies working together as a small team. I really hope that S8 will bring an end to the slayer army (hopefully by deactivating the spell).
There are maybe 2 or three slayers from the army that I'd like to see stick around though. like Satsu and Kennedy.

Yes- it detracts from the main underlying theme of the show; that Buffy ALONE can do what she does. She has always been seperated from the other scoobies emotionally by her powers and it's wrong to suddenly introduce 500 characters that mess this up

She has always been seperated from the other scoobies emotionally by her powers and it's wrong to suddenly introduce 500 characters that mess this up The main underlying theme of the show is female empowerment; that women are not victims, and can protect themselves. Having Buffy share her power with girls throughout the world was the embodiment of that theme. And Buffy has been separated emotionally from the Scoobies all through Season Eight, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about.

Sorry I just think- and I know it sounds petty- that Joss created the show intending it to be about a girl who was struggling in a compeltely unique situation and this kind of spoils that element of it for me. But maybe the storyline had to be altered slightly for it to continue evolving? Joss brought us this masterpiece in the first place and I trust that whichever direction he takes us in is the right one
