Personally i thought chosen was an epic finale,the battle scene was excellent ,the acting was first rate as usually.
The Gift was emotional roller coaster ride, perfect,actually sensational.
Dark willow arc was action pack and i got to say Alyson Hannigan was brilliant playing a brutal willow.
Whats your favorite finale season of Buffy.

I think the only non epic endings for me were the season 4 and possibly the season 1 finales? Generally, all the endings were amazing and kept you wanting more. But my favorite is the season 5 finale. It always brings me to near tears.  |

I think PG was sort of epic in it's own way. I mean, Buffy finally coming face to face with her season long adversary (The Master), dying, and then coming back to life, was pretty big stuff for the first season. It is here where we really learn that Buffy is not like other slayers. Even as a young girl she is willing to sacrifice her life for the fate of the world. PG is classic still one of my fave episodes today.
Restless, while not being epic in the battle sense, is still a very special and unique episode; also one of my faves.

Yeah, I think they are all pretty epic, except for "Restless" (I still love that episode though).
I really like The Gift & The last season six episodes.

I think "Chosen" is the only truely epic one, talk about going out with a bang. The Gift is like mildly epic, because it's amazing but goes out a lot softer.

"Chosen" definitely had the most epic feel, from the sweeping battlefield shots to the motion picture-style score. (By the way, I definitely recommend the site I just linked to.) |

Definitely "chosen", is my best season finale.
It had the epic music and the epic actions.
But also i love the gift, so sensational.

For me the best final episode was The Gift, which let me very anxious to see the next season because of Buffy's death.
Grave is a great episode too

IMO every finale was epic, with the exception of Season 4 and Season 1. I love Prophecy Girl and Restless to pieces, and I think they were both great finales, but epic they were not. Not the way I think of it anyway. So I guess the Season 2,3,5,6, and 7 finales were all epic.

I love them all, but I would probably cite Chosen as the most epic. The score, the final battle - all of it just had a really epic feel. My favorite moment of the fight is when Buffy says to The First, "I want you to get out of my face!" And then she starts riding up in slow motion with the music really kicking in. Such an epic moment! Always gives me chills!

well 4 is really not epic at all
though in my mind i always consider 21th to be the finale... and the finale is just some sort of special episode
actually if just talking about epic, not about how much I like the episodes, nothing will beat Chosen
