I don't think the mysteries are always solvable by using a character that we already know. I mean, we want to make Twilight out to be someone we DEFINITELY know. Now, im not saying he ISN'T a character we know, but I think we tend to be quick to say "Save the Prince?? Well it's gotta be a guy/girl who we know of!" The Prince might not even be a person. Joss uses symbolism a lot and it might be a famous throw off to get us all riled up.

As for Twilight, the mask-lift fake-out is a compelling reason for believing his face is familiar to us fans.

My candidates for who is the prince that might be rescued: 1) Satsu, "prince" for Buffy's "Sleeping Beauty" 2) Dracula, Prince of Darkness 3) If Dawn's pregnant then maybe her baby is the prince. 4) In "The Long Way Home" Giles talks to the leader of the demon dinosaur people who were attacked by Twilight agents who acts like she is a queen. This ruler might have a baby that could be called the prince of these creatures. True. I dig the Satsu theory. She probably loses her powers and Buffy has to in fact, SAVE HER, by restoring her powers. Thereby she goes to New York and something happens where she ends up in Future New York with Fray. I think that might have solved it.

I Think it's Twilight. My theory is that Twilight is the Prince, Buffy's the Queen. make the connection? Well. I think Willow's spell to empower the potentials somehow screwed up Buffy's son, who i think is Twilight. And to take revenge, he comes back from the future and tries to end all magic. This way, for once, the father isn't the screw up one in the whedonverse.

maybe the prince is Angel....she was warning her about Angel being in Hell.A That would fit. Would tie the series together again nicely.

I don't know if Buffy and Angel are currently "synched" in terms of time.

I think that Xander could be a viable guess. I think that this prince thing will come late in the season.Anything could happen between now and then. The only evidence we have is what Robin says in issue 10.I say that any guess could be viable

Alright, maybe I should elaborate.
So, I'm thinking Harth. Mainly because what a plot twist it would be for Buffy to have to save him from the mystery woman. Which I think she would do if the mystery woman ends up being Willow and not Drusilla. Maybe Willow would need him for a specific purpose and Buffy would need to keep that from happening.
Plus, the split in the slayer line. Fray's got the muscle and Harth's got the memory. Buffy being "The Queen," when the Queen has children, or in other [very skewed] words: splits, her children (her lineage) become princes and princesses.
Now lol... any thoughts?

Just something of note: The pronouns used when Robin discusses "The Prince" are gender-neutral. While the word "prince" doesn't exactly lack a gender specification, the fact that they consistently said "it" rather than "he" might mean a lot. Whether it be that "The Prince" is male or female OR that "The Prince" isn't even human could be put in question by it.

Does this remind anyone else of the speculation before "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince?" Remember that the prince is not always charming.

After reading all this, I very much like the idea of Satsu being The Prince AND the betrayer. The way I see it, there is potential for her to be the betrayer (and following Buffy around despite being reassigned). Maybe when agreeing to do whatever this betrayal is, she bit off more than she could chew. So, in the end, Buffy righteously saves Satsu (whether via mercy or more literally). Just a thought, but one I hadn't had before. So I got excited. lol edit: I guess, in terms of context, I just linked these two thoughts together because they were both cryptically presented in Anywhere But Here. Doesn't mean they're connected implicitly, I just chose to read into it that way

yeah, i agree with slayer489. It would be a cool storyline, and i think that Angel has had his lifetime's worth of babies and pregnancy
