Lorne bouncing back didn't bother me in the slightest. His reappearance in ATF was months after Not Fade Away, time for for him to recover. Lorne as a character has lead a very troubled life, but being dark and gloomy is not who he is.

Illegally aquired Kanye West's new album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" and it is fantastic. One of the albums of the year. Can't wait for the disc.
Bought Jamiroquai too but nothing has grabbed me though.

Okay, so did anyone else wanna vomit when Daniel woke up and was apparently raped? Or was the rape suppose to be fake, since Bree said that she had sent the good stuff, which means that the rape might have been fake? What was Adelle's plan, what would be worth making Daniel thinking he was raped, how would that work with their plan? I'm not sure it's possible that a straight man can be raped by Eliza Dushku

Buffy as a character was "done" by the end of season 5. All the last two seasons did was make her miserable and then intolerable. This can be said for most of the main characters too. The only characters I saw actually develop beyond Season 5 were Willow & Tara. One thing I really don't follow is how anybody can possible prefer Angel to Buffy. Even at its best moments, AtS is emotionally monotonous. It's attempts at comic relief are contrived and flat. And not all its moments are good. When Angel is bad, it is horrid. Remember "She" from the first season? My mind turns away before my stomach can rebel. Buffy never sank anywhere near that low. Hells Bells. Truely embarrassing.

I don't know if it's been mentioned or not, but I love how Gunn and Gwen's relationship or whatever you want to call it is a apparently non-existent after Players. I call it a shag, lol.

I see shades of both here. I agree that Season 8 has has bigger ambitions, starting a new story and following through with it, whereas ATF is estentially wrapping up the cliffhanger, and in that there is more meat to the arcs in the former.
That said, I have found Season 8 to be horribly inconsistant and unnecessarily wacky. It reads a lot like a greatest hits of Joss's biggest weaknesses with all of the convenient muguffins and plot holes, and sadly there are new frustrations along the way too.
After The Fall bothered me in places, had too many characters and the evil scheme was fuzzy; but overall it was about Angel reconciling with his role as a hero. It's clear, it's effectively done and there's some good material for Gunn, Illyria & Connor. It was a satisfying story, and while I'm not one to go too far into "meta", this leaves me far more interested in doing so.

Am I missing something here? I trust that's a joke. If Joss were to hire Lynch for season 9, it'd be a signal that he's not taking the project seriously in any kind of creative/artistic sense. Which would be a bummer, because as uneven as it's been, season 8 has been all kinds of fun to think about. AtF is junk food in comparison -- yummy, but entirely forgettable. Can't disagree more. Season 8 has been a disaster. It's a saving grace that many never took it seriously.

The dullest episode of season 2. There are a couple of deleted scenes on the DVD that I found very interesting, showing how Madeline is dealing with life after the Dollhouse.
Madeline has thrown a party and there are lots of friends there. People question how she is and what she has been up to, to which Madeline gives fairly cagey responses. Away from the party, Madeline catches a friend rummaging through an old box of children's toys. The two discuss the baby that Madeline lost. She seems hollow and emotionless about it. A later scene shows Madeline has returned to the box of toys to seal up the box and donate them. She is contacted by Senator Perrin.
These two scenes add a new layer to the motherhood theme of the episode, give November far more meat in the story, and explain why the episode felt so flat (imo)

It's much easier to do your own stunts for films but TV schedules are way too tight to allow for it. Doubles are often handled quite well, but yeah sometimes no so much.
There is some terrible editing in "Heartthrob", in the fight scene on the street where Angel/Wes/Gunn attack Elizabeth and her vamp gang in the car. Wes stakes a vamp with his pointed bat and it dusts off-screen (sound effect) but in many of the following shots you can still see them wrestling. I found it really noticable.

I loved the characters of Angel. I didn't always like them, but the show did such an amazing job of buidling the family, they bounce off eachother perfectly.
Buffy never had it. The school years were easy, but the character relationships became really strained as the show moved beyond them. In the awful last 2 seasons, I really question why that group of people continued to hang around eachother.

It's possible that I dislike Family Guy even more than X-Factor. I don't think a second stunt would work. I've seen so many groups for different songs, none of them would come together. It's no fun anymore anyway.

cartoonish might not be a bad thing urru's work was definetly hot in the first 5 or so issues of after the fall but after that he kind of lost my interest. That'll be because he moved on after issue 5. He did return again for the end.

I don't see any point in making some "slimmer" if it doesn't even match DVD size at all.

I own the original book packaging for all of Buffy and Angel. I like them a lot.
Inside looks quite nice, pretty basic. The book fits nicely inside the outer box, all the pages match the outside colour. The inside cover has a cast photo in it, then you have several pages with episode descriptions and production credits. Those pages have different images of Angel on them and some monsters/other cast members too. Then you have the 6 disc holding pages with more images and the chapters written on them.
My only concern with this packaging is that the discs could be at risk from scratches, however the cd pockets are lined with soft paper and I've had mine for years with no problem yet.
Hope this helps
