Got my DVD today, the comic is tiny. Smaller than a post-card.

Was gonna put Superman but I ran out of spaces lol.
I voted First Class as it seems to have the right people behind it. I'm really excited at the potential to get a nice 60's style X movie in the vein of the original comics. Sadly the franchise has lost its way since X2 so it may be just another mess.
Can't wait for Bats 3 either, but it's too soon to be excited for it at the moment. I wonder who the villain will be...
As for the Marvel movies... my enthusiasm dwindled a little bit when they booted Edward Norton and poo poo'd on their continuty. I'll watch the 3 movies I'm sure, but there's not a great deal of characters I care about in any of them.
I don't really follow Green Lantern or Superman so I'll wait to be wowed.
I'm not at all interested in the Spider-man reboot. It's too soon, I'd have much rathered another Raimi sequel.

I don't give a rat's ass about the comic frankly, I'm all over whatever the deleted scenes might be though

Ahh I remember back in the day asking whether Lynch's Spike stories would ever get Hardcovers, pretty sweet if that happens.
I don't think Spike ATF should be included in the complete collection to be honest. It adds to the story but only really from Spike's perspective (obviously). It should remain a Spike title and a companion piece.

It could be that the chip was activated remotely after Spike escaped...

I hated it, and it ruined the biggest event of the season in Willow's fall.

Change? Absolutely. Mostly my opinions become stronger over time rather than a change of perspective, but they are often shifting.
I always disliked Season 6, but now I've all but disowned it. I keep the DVD because the bits that tie to Angel make it too hard to erase totally. I've already gotten rid of all traces of season 8, it was a source of constant frustration and I'm much happier without it in my life, haha

I'm still pondering exactly what the hell was going on in the Cabin, lol. Wish that mystery was wrapped up. It sticks out like a sore thumb now, as well as Walt's bizarre appearances.

Buffy had a wonderful run, but it is over. The bastard step-child of an 8th season is proof enough that it should rest, and I have no interest in a reboot.

I'm starting to miss Lost very much already. It didn't always succeed, but it was the most ambitious show I've ever encountered; with it's epic story, expansive cast of characters, production values and scoring. It really raised the bar in the field I think, and while I don't think season 6 is the strongest it had been, I can't wait to have it on my shelf (stupid uk release schedule)

Theme - Life is the Big Bad.
... Basically "The Body", but 22 times longer with none of the finesse. Oh and it doesn't resemble real life in the slightest.
Villains
3 annoying nerds. Warren's descent is interesting but not enough to endure the dialogue for a full season.
Character Arc
Giles sods off, Xander regresses, Anya regresses, Willow becomes a crack-addict, Tara grows beyond mere victim before dying a mere victim, Dawn shoplifts and Spike and Buffy have lots of unnattractive sex.
Buffy's quiet melancholy and Willow's power hungry instability are great early on, but it's all out the window midway.
Overall
A very simple season plan on this one, and an idea that must have sounded edgey and bold in the writer's room. Unfortunately, it's not at all fun to watch, and not in a "it's a hard time for the characters and I don't like seeing it" kind of way, more a "I don't enjoy watching writers throw every possible stupid device conceived at each character in order to ruin their lives" kind of way. It's feel obviously dark, like a teenage death poem, and never as effective as the seasons before. When life started kicking Buffy in season 5, life as a slayer never felt so real; this is the complete opposite. Individual episode quality went downhill too. Hells Bells, Bargaining, Life Serial, As You Were... erg all so mediocre.

The jacket's effect could likely depend on length of exposure and the personality and sexual appetite of the individual. We don't see a very large friend group around RJ so only the boy's two competing girls got really far into it. Things got out of hand when he came into contact with the scooby-girls: sexually active, between partners, and capable of quite dramatic things compared to a back alley cat-fight. High School should be somewhat innocent too, so it's likely other girls in the jacket's thrawl mostly just sat at home writing poems or whatever lol.

I've read the Master is about 600, but I don't know where it was revealed other than the first buffy game.

The Master looks old and scary in Buffy present day, yet he looks exactly the the same when he sired Darla 400 years before, and he was only about Angel's age then.
