Very disappointing. I take it personally when my gender pulls crap like this, makes us all look bad. And can we stop making mistresses rich and famous and giving them covers of magazines like Vanity Fair. And reality shows, or paying them off with millions. Or book deals. What are we doing! And can we not consider them young innocent victims. Ugh.

Anyone think Whedon will really be able to get an issue out every month starting in Sept.? I think there's going to be even more delays because of how busy he is now. This three month break is bad enough. Not dying to read the one shot in August. Hopefully we'll get the cover to issue 36 after issue 35 arrives this week, I'm curious to see it and how spoilery it is.

No preview yet? They may as well not even release one, the issue is out in a couple days anyway. I can't wait to see fan reaction to this issue. I'm expecting more anger and rage.

Yeah the comics are fun, and I don't take them as seriously as I used to because it'd drive me crazy if I did. I loved the first eleven issues of the comics.
I think things started getting rough at WATG honestly with a few strange developments and over the top moments.
Predators and Prey was a bore, the Tales issue after that was uninteresting and didn't accomplish much with the vamps in, slayers out storyline.
Retreat was messy but okay. It had moments. I've personally enjoyed every issue after that though, I'm into it lately. And at least there's stuff to talk about again, unlike PAP.

Jezebel, agreed on Real Me. I've always enjoyed it though. It's fun and I like Dawn's crush on Xander, and Anya stepping in with board games and treating Dawn like a little girl as everyone does.
Last episode I watched was Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered. I miss those days with the characters.
Anyone getting to the point where rewatching the show isn't doing it for you like it used to? After endless viewings, I just wish there was something new to look forward to with Buffy. And I'm talking live action.
The show has been off the air as long as it was on the air. Isn't that freaky? The little girl playing baseball in Chosen must be in college by now. I'm old.

I want Joss involved with season 9 heavily, otherwise I don't care to have a season 9 comic book. Whedon tends to spread himself very thin and sometimes you can see the work hurt as a result.
Was Whedon around a lot for seasons 6 and 7 of Buffy? It sure didn't feel like he was as involved, cause those seasons were rough.
Avengers, and now rewriting some of Captain America supposedly, he's going to be very very busy and focused on that. That's a huge undertaking and I can't imagine the pressure of a project like that.

If this works out, I feel Whedon won't be involved with Buffy season 9 comics much at all. The Avengers movie would be a huge undertaking and need full attention I would think.

Heh, they all have a habit of turning sexual and naughty in the end.

That was epic, and this is turning out to be the best arc of the series. The sexcapades reminded me of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing. I really enjoyed the artwork. Giles sure knows how to make the tough decisions. I'm really loving Dawn lately. I'm dying for the next issue.

I love this cover, and it's Jeanty's best without question. I may buy this one along with the Chen cover, and I never do that.

Chosen. I started a rewatch of Buffy in 2007, and I just finally finished all 144 episodes. Now that I'm done, I feel a little empty. Nothing to look forward to with Buffy. And the episodes are all too fresh in my head to do another rewatch any time soon.

No thanks to a prequal, and ASH is too old to play young. I hope it takes place after season 7. Although this Ripper movie has been discussed for 8 years now. Maybe longer. I'll believe it when I see it. And it does suck to be a creator of characters and write something and not own it.

I'm into the Twilight arc and looking forward to the next issue. I love Jane Espenson and her work on the show, but I'm not overly excited about her writing in the comics. I don't want to diss her, she's too sweet and usually terrific, but Retreat was messy.
In all fairness, I don't think I would of cared for the Harmony issue no matter who wrote it because I didn't enjoy the content of the story with the reailty show and the strange outting of vamps. And I'm not a big Reily fan, so the standalone isn't something I'm dying to read. I will read it of course, I can't skip anything.

The Killer In Me. Awful awful awful. An episode that should have been great since it deals with a few important storylines like Spikes chip, Willow/Tara/Warren, and Giles as The First. But it is all done badly. Maybe the worst season 7 episode. Kennedy and the potentials are killing me. Except Vi. Amanda is okay too.

Wrecked. Yuck. And since I'm watching them in order, I have some horrible episodes to get through coming up.

Wow, there's a lot of hate for this issue, but you won't hear that from me because I loved it. This is turning out to be the best arc since No Future for You. And at least there's interesting moments in the comics that are happening that create conversation, unlike the empty Predator's and Prey issues. Very much looking forward to April.
I only hated one thing: Andrew. There's serious things happening all around him and he's just a joke with his mixed costumes and geek dialogue. It's just constant with him, and tiring. Beyond dumb and annoying.

I hate most of season 6, especially the middle. Everything from Smashed to Hell's Bell's. And All the Way is no picnic either. It's always interesting seeing some fans praise this season. I try to relate, and try to understand where they're coming from, but I can't see it the way they see it. It's a depressing, very unfun year. I like the idea of the season, but the execution of it was badly done. I do love Once More with Feeling though, and Tabula Rasa is great too.

Xander is a saint compared to almost everyone around him. If he gets blame for some of the negative things he's done, then the other characters must be destroyed as well, but much harsher.

What? I barely even care about the Willow and Tara relationship, it wasn't my favorate. I find Kennedy offputting period. Even if she wasn't dating Willow and just a potential and part of the group, I'd still not care for her. I did say she wouldn't exist if I had it my way right? I don't want her around. And you don't need to be in a relationship to find happiness or be happy. Especially that quickly. There was barely distance.

gumgnome, some ideas on Buffy are more outlandish and absurd than others. Did you find every single moment and every single enemy or special effect or puppet wonderful? Did you not find anything over the top or too much at times?
I love the show, but I'd be lying to myself to pretend I'm a fan of every aspect and every moment of Buffy. It doesn't have to be all or nothing, it can be that I enjoy some crazy concepts and dislike others.
