What is up with all these ugly and unusual-looking ¿Slayers? I think it's a means of making them easily distinguishable for readers; The One That Looks Like A Ten Year Old Boy and The One With The Grating 'Scottish' 'Accent' And Wholly Impractical Hair seem to crop up most often. MB x

My favorite part has to be the Xander and Buffy discussion, it was great seeing them together again. Snap. I must admit, I was fairly worried about Joss taking too many liberties with 'season eight' - the military, the 'chicks with guns', the crazy dinosaur demons that look like nothing we've ever seen before - but the scene with Buffy quipping that the 'symbol' looks like a 'beautiful sunset' makes me feel like we're in safe hands. Saying that, I hope he drops the accents before too long; I cringe to think that Leah - the slayerette with the inappropriate hair - is supposed to be Scotland. Speaking as someone who lives in Glasgow, the very idea makes me cringe. As for Amy's boyfriend, he wants a 'weapons lab'; I'm surprised no one else is guessing at a resurrected Warren. Well, I'd be slightly repulsed at the thought of someone having sex with a flayed corpse... Cheerio, Michael. xxx

It'd be quite shocking if it was Willow who kissed Buffy! That'd leave her some 'splaining to do! lol I think you might be on to something with Willow, though. This is from the writer of the 'yellow crayon' lameness, remember? I don't think he'd be above doing the whole 'love doesn't necessarily mean want to tup'... My favourite issue so far, although that's pretty much consistent with each passing issue. Not much to comment on, but I'm really excited to see how it resolves. Between this, Astonishing X-Men and Runaways, today has been a good day for comics... MB x

That is an AMAZING piece of artwork, it really is. Except perhaps Willow who is a bit too skinny. Maybe she's been on the Atkins since the series ended? That, or she found a spell to make her skinny. She can do everything else these days, it would seem... I love the cover, though. Xander, especially, looks amazing; the buff hottie he's been portrayed as in much of the series so far, whilst still actually looking like Nick Brendan. MB x

All shades of awful. I can't take it seriously after the Dead Ringers parody so successfully skewered it, either: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AKrEnBmST00'So secret that we don't even know our own characters motivations!' MB x

I'd like to pick it up at some point, because my collection is on the uneven side; we started with season six and worked backwards to season two, because our local DVD warehouse had the bulky European boxsets in at reduced price. Three cases, each with two DVDs, inside one big slipcase. Then we got the rereleased season one and the UK slipcase season seven. They're all very well-loved, though. I think they've been all over the country with me on my travels, and the cases are all a bit on the grubby side, so I'd probably have a hard time selling them. Shame, that.

does anyone else wan a Nikki Wood figure? maybe a deluxe two pack with spike or a box set with Nikki, robin, and spike? I always thought it was disappointing - given that the boxsets took the form they did - that they never did a Slayer's Handbook, with Buffy, Faith and either the first Slayer, Nikki or Kendra. MB x

but these dolls make the sideshow figures look like dollar store trash... Sideshow do a pretty good job of making the Sideshow figures look like dollar store trash. Seriously, though, his work is gorgeous, particularly his female dolls. I'd love to see him do Faith; I don't think we've ever had a figure that really captured Eliza Dushku's likeness. MB x
