I guess, it's cuz in a way, it's a little similar to 'Aftermath', just with better artwork

I still dont get the hate about the Willingham arc.....I have really enjoyed it. I think its more about how Willingham is writing the characters than it is about how good his story is. Overall, I think he has good ideas and is a fine writer. I quite enjoy what I have read of his "Fables" series. If it were a bunch of new characters that that did already have rich histories then I think there wouldn't be so much negativity surrounding his arc. I will be interested to see how Willingham writes Angel (the character) in the upcoming issues, as he hasn't spent all that much time with him yet. |

That does make sense....I have rather enjoyed his work with most of the characters. (only exception being Illyria, who still 'sounds' a bit weird) Yeah, I look forward to that too~'bout time the title character rejoined everyone.  |

Ryall posted a preview page for this on his (new and improved) BLOG:  As much as I'm feeling ho hum about this mini, unless Williams brings a strong narrative to the table, I am liking the art. It's different and dynamic. |

I really like the art here, shading is excellent, the glass effects are very slick & the action seems well coreographed & dynamic. There seems to be a fair bit of 'meh' reactions to the IDW books doing the rounds~but I think this looks fabulous. |

My interest has been piqued a lot more about this project. I like that it will be taking place in a short time frame (between Angel #32 and #33), and Bill Williams has impressed so far with his Eddie Hope backstories. While brief, they have been fun and I like Eddie's character a lot, so I welcome more screen time from him. I look forward to checking this out, and I hope it will be as entertaining as it sounds like it could be. |

Thank you for the link Wenxina; really enjoyed the interview. I honestly think this mini-series looks like a lot of fun, the Spike/Eddie dynamic promises to be entertaining & It'll be fun to see some new big-bads in action. Ok, that last page shown in the interview just begs for a caption contest....seriously what the hell is going on there?  |

Woah, I love the Illyria/Spike page. She looks great! And the close up of her is amazing. Also, love that she's holding a book titled 'Birds'. xD Nice to see that she's getting some focus in this, and addressing her humanity crisis.

Maybe I might check this out when it comes out. Maybe Spike would be better written in this than the current Angel arc
Edit: Also nice to see some interaction between Spike and Illyria. I love it when these two characters get together and we haven't seen very much interaction between them since ATF #17. Just hope that Illyria isn't 'mate with Connor' in this mini-series
