Sorry about the thing about Amy Acker. It's not like I totally hate her or her acting. My comment was only meant to be about her acting as Illyria, which, in my (unpopular) opinion, sucked. As I said before, the writing was bad too, which is why I thought Illyria was so terrible. If I hadn't seen season five of Angel and someone described her to me, I'd probably think she sounded pretty cool, but on screen Illyria, an old one, possibly the strongest character we've seen on either Buffy or Angel, is limited to the expression puppies make when you baby-talk to them and awkwardly forced quips about Spike being her pet.

^^ agree with you ERIC. *I love the whole concept and mythology of the first evil, i think i love the whole subject with the Master manipulations. Also the first can find your weak spot and make you go crazy and that concept was great. *Glory/Dawn/Buffy,plot was exceptional good, the acting and the suspense were well done.Best storyline and plot in the Buffyverse. *Personally when the season (Buffy) progress its get really dark. *The body was ,single most terrifying, heart-breaking, painful, and amazing hour of television I have ever seen in the TV industries.

[/li][li] Angelus is the most overrated villain like ever. He's just a generic cocky dick villain, and he's annoyingly chatty, and so many of his lines are just cheesy and just awfully written. Especially Season 4 Angelus. Everytime he was on screen I wanted to punch the screen. Aside from Condelia, Angelus was by far the worst thing of Season 4. [/quote] Take it back!

oh, i forgot one. Season 2 is by far my LEAST favorite season. Most of the episodes were a bit corny(for example Ted, Go Fish, Inca Mummy Girl), i'm not a fan of the whole 'Angel-us' thing, and it just didn't do anything for me. I know people are going to hate me for that but, in my opinion, it is true.

^ I prefer Angelus, his character goes more interesting.Cocky for me is a good thing, because then Buffy wipe the smirk of his face. His ignorance and over confident is much better then a shy Angel.
* Angel redemption journey is nothing special i prefer faiths and spike redemption path more.

Not a big fan of the visions or at least how they were used on Angel.
It seemed that Angel and the team rarely went out to fight a demon that wasn't vision related. They didn't really go out on patrols they'd just wait for Doyle or Cordy to have a vision. If I remember correctly someone in the AI team said something like 'Cordy hasn't had a vision yet, so there's nothing to do' or they were asking Cordy to have a vision so they'd have tomething to fight. Here's an idea why don't they go out and fight some vamps/demon/whatevers and if Cordy has a vision she'll call? Bugged me...a lot.
Another possibly unpopular opinion...I don't really like Jenny Calendar. I was probably the only person cheering when Angelus caught up with her. I felt bad for the people dealing with her death but I didn't feel sorry for Jenny.

In one of the final episdoes of Buffy (I think it's End of Days) where they kick Buffy out of the house, everyone's all sad for Buffy, but from my point of view, she got exactly what she deserved. She was being a total bitch to everyone for the entire latter half of the season, and now I cheer every time they all gang up on her I HATE SPIKE. I HATE SPUFFY. Everyone says they're so hot adn such a great couple, but I want everyone to just stop and look at something, here. HE. TRIED. TO. RAPE. HER. that is absolutely unforgivable, and I don't see how people can say Spike and Buffy are perfect for each other.

When everybody was against Buffy motives in battle and suddenly everybody didn't trust her. That scene was unfair all this time Buffy saved their life's many occasions and suddenly their don't trust her. And it was Giles that made Buffy the leader bringing all the potential to Buffy, so what does he expect.. Buffy was just training them and giving them experience of battle to prepare them for their ultimate doom!.

I felt bad for the people dealing with her death but I didn't feel sorry for Jenny. I never really thought of it that way (about the vision thing). They should have been patrolling even without the visions, because seriously, there had to be a hell of a lot more bad stuff going on in LA than just vision based stuff. Sure there were the people who came in for help, but not everyone could necessarily ask for help. I think Angel probably went out on routine patrols by himself, but when they were just sitting around they could have gone out patrolling instead of sitting on their hands. I'm probaly going to notice this stuff a lot more now when I rewatch the series.

Aside from characters that had pretty much no redeeming character traits (ex. Warren, Forrest, Parker etc.) ... You thought Forrest had no redeeming traits? I always thought he seemed like a decent guy. I HATE SPIKE. Well, to be fair, we are talking about a couple for whom "foreplay" had always consisted of beating the crap out of each other. Sorry about the thing about Amy Acker. It's not like I totally hate her or her acting. My comment was only meant to be about her acting as Illyria, which, in my (unpopular) opinion, sucked. I don't have an opinion on Illyria yet, since I haven't gotten to that point in the show ... but I'm at the beginning of Season 3 right now and keep wanting to yell at the writers to stop making her talk like River, already!

I found Anya death, was a perfect ending to a great development/character..The situation of battle was perfect to show capabilities of Anya situation and emotions toward the human race.Which i found special.

I always thought he seemed like a decent guy. Really? I think he started off a kinda decent guy. But as the season progressed the writers made him just this constant source of dickery. I don't know if Forrest was gay and had a crush on Riley or something but man was he annoyingly and weirdly obsessed with him. He was just so aggravating. On Angelus: Overrated. I find him just so generic. Plus with the annoying talking all the time. Like seriously just shut the hell up. I found it annoying because I think his dialogue was supposed to be witty and clever but it wasn't. It was just simply annoying. It wasn't so bad in Buffy Season 2, but I think it's because they let Boreanaz adlib more lines in Season 4 and I'll just leave it at he did not adlib well.

Bringing Angelus back had so much hype and it was a big let down. It was pretty much pointless to bring him back.

Agree with entire post. Bringing Angelus back had so much hype and it was a big let down. It was pretty much pointless to bring him back. Yeah, bad choice. All the creepy-sexy-dangerous-stalker-villain points he earned in BtVS was lost in a few episodes. I like that he was brought back and given a extra layer or two (which could frankly have been done with flashbacks in other episodes) and he was funny, but seeing him like that made the show lose a great villain. In season 2 he was so dark, so bad, and so very hot. In season 4, he was a desperate whiny child. He will never be as cool as he were. Same can be said about Dracula and Spike, even tough I love Spike's character development. Can't we have one *true* villain? Even Warren is all worried about Andrew in Season 8 (okay, only in one or two panels) and the only thing I liked about him is that it was 100 per cent okay to hate him, because he's so evil and care about no one but himself. Now that will change to?

Now that will change to? Don't worry, it will ALWAYS be 100 per cent okay to hate the Annoited One. And I don't follow the comics (for many many reasons) but that really bothers me that they're trying to make it seem like Warren has any type of morality or compassion for Andrew. It was quite clear in season 6 that he legitimately did not care for either Jonathan or Andrew, why would he start now? Then again, the fact that he even exists/is somehow alive in the comics is an annoying issue within itself.

I HATE the Anointed one. It's not that I don't care about him. I actively HATE him. he was just.. annoying. The Master was cool though.
Alos, rewatching 'Helpless' I really Kralik is that weird?

I like both the Annointed One and Kralik.
The Annointed One had potential, and it was too bad they couldn't use him more. Kralik was really fun, but was enough as a monster of the week.
