What is you're least favorite season of Buffy

for me season 4 was my least favorite i didn't like the initiative and it seemed to be missing something it needed like a spike or angel in it more i still loved it tho just not as much.. season 1 wasn't much either but hey they were just starting out.. xx rach

I would have to say season 1 (even though I still think it was a good beginning to the series).

Sticking to my story and saying Season Six was the worst. Endlessy bleak and cruel, for no other reason other than it could be. Nearly every plot point (Buffy shagging Spike, Willow turning junkie, the rape, the death, "Darth Rosenberg,") turns my stomach.

And I do not find shirtless James Marsters attractive (Wish there was a barfing smiley face).

Season Seven wasn't much of an improvement.

...but at least Ms. Hannigan's hair looked great.

My vote as usual goes for season sex. I enjoyed bits, and the arc wasn't too bad actually, but overall just too dark and not my cup of tea.

My vote is for Season One easily, because it was only 12 episodes and the show hadn't fully found its footing yet.

I'm firmly planted in the season 4 camp.

The season was terribly plotted, Adam was a boring, flaccid big bad, and I think the show was still reeling from all of the changes that came from leaving the high school setting.

It really found its footing again by "Restless" and throughout season five, though.

Im a fan of the Bangel junk but i didn't really feel this season. There was some great episodes but i think it was the weakest in the link.

I liked Season 4 it had lots of great episodes. Season one was as good as it could be with just 12 episodes. I loved season 3. Season 5 and 6 are some of my favorite. Season 7 i would say was running for the worse with 2. But 2 won my heart

This is a really hard choice since pretty much every season of Buffy had parts of it that I enjoyed. But if I had to pick one I'd say probably season 4. I just couldn't get into the whole Initiative concept.

Season 4 had the worst big bad, I don't think I could even argue against that. It it had SOOOOOOOOOOOOo many stand out all time great episodes that there is no way I could say it's the worst season. I'm not surprised it's winning though.

For me it's season one. Why? Fewer episodes = less Buffy. Less Buffy = evil. So Season 1 = evil.

I like them all, but if I had to choose the worst I'd say season 1. It was shorter than the rest and there weren't as many good subplots as there were in other seasons.

I didn't like season 3. The whole Angel coming back from the dead thing and being retarded...the horrible snake mayor...Oz is eating people but he isn't...freaking out and not letting Xander help though he always has...

The only good things I liked about season 3 were Faith, Vampire Willow, and gem episodes like Band Candy, the Wish, and Dopplegangland.

Hated Season 7. The only characters I genuinely enjoyed were Anya, Faith, and a bit of Giles. Willow's attempted redemption arc was bad and failed to get me to like her again. Xander was irrelevant. Spike was a shell of himself. Buffy, of course, was at her self righteous, whiny nadir (can't blame Angel for deciding to end with a suicide run. Ending up with the reaper>>>Ending up with Buffy). Just a very unlikeable season in general.

After a recent rewatch, my ranking would be: Season 5 > Season 2 > Season 6 > Season 3 > Season 4 > Season 7 > Season 1. It's really a toss-up between Season 4 and Season 7, but Season 4 gets some brownie points for its incredible standalones.
