What do all of you guys think was you're least favorite season and why?
I have to say season 4 because it was really boring, not much action and kinda lame big bads, plus the introduced Riley (I'm not a big Riley fan).

6 or 7. Can't really decide.
But the worst season of buffy is better than 99.99% of anything else that's ever been on tv!

I voted season 4. I don't like Riley's character, he just doesn't fit with the "Buffy spirit". I don't really like the faculty. The only good things are that Tara appears, and I like the final fight with Adam. But that's all.

Season 4 is a bit boring and i don't like neither storyline nor Riley. "Where the Wild Things Are" is the worst Buffy episode ever IMO.

I voted Season 7 (although Season 1 isn't my favorite either), like Browncoat says though.. it may be Buffy's weakest season but it's still lots better then most of the stuff out there.
So, why i voted 7? Well, i dislike Buffy (the character) in this season, sometimes i just wanted to kick her ass really. I also wasn't very into the storyline with the potentials, and Xander got way too little screentime. I felt like the 3 (Buffy, Will, Xander) were falling apart. There were good things about it though, like Andrew! Storyteller is one of the funniest Buffy episodes ever.

I'd have to say 4 as well, it had it's moments with "The Harsh Light of Day", "Hush", "Fear, Itself", "This Year's Girl", "Who Are You", "Primeval", "Restless" and so many more standout episodes. I think that the general involvement of the military (who could easily get their butt kicks by Demons and Vampires) trying to get pumped up with drugs to be superheroes is what made me dislike it from the rest.

Yup, I agree with Season 4. Harmony ruled, Adam was cool, and I guess Tara was ok too , but the whole season seemed boring to me. Riley had FAR too much attention, and Spike lost any coolness that he had in Season 2. Fear Itself and Primeval are definitely the highlights of the season for me. I thought Restless was probably the worst of the season finales too... Definitely would have been better as the Season 5 opener instead.

season 4 too, and yet it had gems like restless, hush and the faith ones, it was just the initiative arc which spoiled it.

Season 4. Buffy went from Brooding to boring with Riley.

Jumping on the bandwagon...Season 4
Adam and Riley are more than enough reasons why this season was the worst...the only season that I watch selected episodes instead of all of it. But hey they were producing 2 shows this season and that's not easy to do. I guess something had to give!

I agree. Season 4. I think it was a hard transition from high school to college. Buffy just never felt the same to me after season 3. I am also not really into Riley. Although I do agree that there were a few good episodes within the season. I think it was kinda a transition season. Buffy had to grow up pretty quickly by Season 5.

I am in agreement Season 4. Riley was a attemp to make Buffy more of a normal girl. And I dont think that could happen she wasnt meant to be normal or do or date normal guys. Just me but didnt like the realtionship and glad they moved him on.

as spike says, she needs a little monster in her man. Buffy cant be with a good old boy. Riley was way boring and not suited for her. Hush and tara were the only good things out of season 4. Adam bored me, the initiative was stupid. lets make buffy into a gi joe?

I really hated the initiative, so season 4 it is. There were some really great episodes, some of my favorite in season 4, but the bad episodes and the storyarc made me like it the least. Like it was said earlier, though, even this season that I don't like much, I would still watch over almost anything else on TV. I love Hush and Restless. Also, the Tara storyline. I hated it when Oz left. I also find Something Blue and Fear Itself wildly entertaining.

6. I miss Giles. I get the need for a depressing season, but they bottled it bad and put loads of lame comedy episodes in to balance it out. Hells Bells? ppffft! g.t.f.o.h

I voted season 4. I don't like Riley's character, he just doesn't fit with the "Buffy spirit". I think that was the point, though. That he was - aside from the demon fighting mojo - 'normal', the boy next door. Within a group of 1000 year old high school graduates, super powered cheerleaders, a couple of lesbian witches and a crusty old English bloke, Riley was the outsider. Then again, I have a huge boner for season four, so I'm probably biased. My vote goes to season two. Controversial! I realise it's very popular with the fans, but there are some utterly atrocious episodes, and the main arc never quite gels for me. Why does Angelus want to destroy the world? 'Shits and giggles' doesn't cut it, for me. I like 'Becoming', some of the stuff with Dru as a parallel to Buffy is very interesting, but the Angel/Angelus bit is just poorly-written melodrama... Please don't curse me. MB x

Season 4 had a lot of classic material in my opinion. "A New Man" fooking maarvelous.
It may break Mikey's heart a lil, but I love the Oz stuff this season. He got a lot of emotional issues, enough so that they actually show sometimes lol
Spike's pretty funny too.

I have to say season 4 because it was really boring, not much action and kinda lame big bads, plus the introduced Riley (I'm not a big Riley fan). i agree that season four was kinda boring, but it must have been hard to try to make the transition from high school girl to college girl... so i guess you gotta make allowances. allowances aside, i hated riley, i hated the initiative... i hated the angsty feelings that buffy had about college... it was a confusing, boring season that i forced myself to get thru, hoping season five was better and presto it was
