Joe...We watched Smile Time together and I loved it. You know that.

I would say that Season 2 is my favorite.
Angelus is one of my favorite characters and well this was his season.
David did a great job as the bad guy. To go from such a sweet and caring man to a hellish bastard and make you believe it takes talent.
Joss said somewhere that the episode "I Only Have Eyes for You" was one of the first times that he knew that David could carry his own show.

I would have to say Season 3 comes in a close 2nd.

My favorite is Season 6 because I like that the show was willing to go to that dark of a place. Plus, it had some amazing episodes and Dark Willow. So cool. I also love the Trio. They have some great geeky references, plus I think that Warran has an interseting arc, even though I hate him.

Seasons 3 and 5 are also right up there.

Season 6 ! But I also love seasons 5, 3 and 2 but season 6 is so perfect with amazing episodes such as OMWF, Tabula Rasa, Wrecked, Normal Again and above all, Grave !!

I'm torn between Season 3 and 5!
I started watching Buffy during Season 5 and thought it was fantastic. Buffy was terrified she wouldn't be able to beat Glory, she's never felt that before. Ever.
I loved Season 3 because of Faith, and the whole 'bad slayer' storyline. It was done so brilliantly.
I still can't decide even after writing that.

Season 3 was definatly my favourite season with hot Buffy, bad Faith, witch-in-training Willow... It was just the best!

I thought most people disliked it,well that seems to be the general opinion.

So wow lol!

I love Season 7,for so many reasons really.
Love the Spike Soul arc.
The progression of the Buffy/Spike relationship.
Faith is Superb,she is one of my fave characters so I liked her progression.
Principle Wood/Spike tension mostly for the "Lies My Parents Told Me" episode.
The Hellmouth/Ubervamps.
Willow learning to control her powers.

Season Two has always been my favorite, as it has the best plot arc and villain in the series.

It has some of the best one off episodes to start off the season....they are all 10/10 episodes for me...like back to the amazing days of the tight one off monster of the week plots of season 3 that season 5 and season 6 were seriously lacking.

Then conversations with dead people was one of the best arc beginning episodes out of all the seasons. Like I know lessons started off with the whole arc in general but theres always an episode in each season around ep 5ish that sets it all off....like No place like home for season 5 or faith hope and trick for season 3. I find conversations with dead people was the big beginning to everything in season 7 and is the best arc beginning episodes out of all the seasons...all the teasing at whats to come with willow talking to cassie and spike revealed as feeding on someone and then Dawn with Joyce. 'Mothers milk is red today'...amazing line.

Then I loved the rest of the first half with the whole seal/ubervamp appearing. The potentials were a bit iffy,mainly the british ones...they annoyed me cos of the TERRRRIIIIBBBBLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEE accents. urgh.

I find it lost track a bit later on but then picked it all back up and went full steam ahead with Dirty girls.

I am torn, as I really do love all the seasons. For me, it is a toss up between S2 and S7, but in the end I had to give some love to S2.

Hmm...I just rewatched S5 over the weekend, and some of the best episodes are in S5. So i'd have to say S5, puttin S7 in second place.

The best season of Buffy would be season 5. Season 7 comes 2nd, Season 3 comes 3rd and Season 6 4th.

Season 3!!!!!!!! No explanation needed (although I feel the need to say it's not because it's the season where Xander and Willow hook up, because I actually hate they got together in this season while they were both in relationships). Season 6 is my second fav ;D

Season 5 is vividly excellent, the plotline is excellent , Glory is superb.
Great season with mixed emotions and vivid themes and plot lines , excellent season.
10/10 ...
