This episode looks awesome. I really really hope they don't cancel this show!! It's amazing and it deserves another chance.

Joss Whedon said that a S2 wouldn't make sense if Fox refused to air the real season finale. If the show does get picked up and Fox still insists that this is the season finale, then more creative control has been taken away. It's nobody's fault, of course, because the extra episode was the product of a misunderstanding, but it's because of stuff like this that I don't watch reality shows. It's insane that people have to buy DVDs to see episodes of shows they like while extra "American Idol" footage is crammed down all our throats.
I thought I saw the extra promo, I'll have to check it out again to see if there's anything about Claire that I missed.

Looks like they're gonna address the Whiskey thing Yes for sure. Promo was a bit of a giveaway so if people don't know what I mean when I say Whiskey then I would advise not to watch it just yet ;D

Ballard: So this is it? this is where you steal their souls... Topher: Yeah, and then we put them in a glass jar...
Angel Season 4, anyone?

AMAZING! PERFECT!
This was so... PERFECT! WOW! I LOVED IT!
I wonder what happened to Alpha...
And what ended up happening to Paul? I was confused on that.
And Mellie is free, and Claire knows she is a doll! Or was...
I felt so bad for Whiskey.

It was OK, I guess.
But if I, like Alpha, were threatening pieces of hardware with a gun, you know what I'd shoot?
I'd shoot this show's damned weekly reset button, that's what I'd shoot.
Isn't it time to move past that ALREADY?

Well it's over. The episode I mean. Not sure what to say. The stuff with Whiskey was pretty shocking and rather heartbreaking at the end. Paul did something nice, but obviously still has an obsession with Caroline. And the Alpha scenes...lets just say I wasn't disappointed. I tell you I was practically jumping out of my seat every commercial break. I just couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.

Isn't it time to move past that ALREADY? I don't see it as a reset button. Things have changed, moved forward & characters are now heading in new directions. Perhaps they are not progressing the way you'd like, and the Dollhouse is not really closer to being outed, but I'd hardly call this episode a reset.

You're right.
Things are not progressing the way I'd like.
Which is all moot, now.

LOVED IT
Whiskey was a shock, I knew that the title "Omega" would probably have something to do with Echo, Paul freeing November was cool, and the fact that he didn't want her to know who he was, finding out Alpha's real personality was a convict (hence the slashy tendencies); all was great. But my favorite part was Echo's transformation into Omega, how she identified the fact that she was no one, but she didn't want to kill Caroline. And best of all: this whole time Ballard is trying to save Caroline, but who really does save her? ECHO SAVES CAROLINE!! WOOOOHOO awesome. This new facet to Echo's 'personality' is very intriguing, how she definitely remembers Caroline, and her obvious remembrance of past imprints.
Next season is going to be awesome........fingers crossed

Holy shit! Without a doubt the best episode and one of the greatest things I've seen on television. The flashbacks were just terrifying as hell. The scene at the beginning with Alpha and Whiskey was one of the craziest things I've seen, Alan scared the hell out of me. And how sexy was Amy? Nice to see more of Caroline, she seemed okay with what was happening at that point, and that's when Alpha first saw her, which lead into one of the scariest things ever seen, when Alpha started stabbing Whiskey. Sure, they look like adults, but it felt no different than little kids. I felt sick. I know it became pretty obvious that Dr. Saunders was a doll, but expected she was the real deal and use to be a doll, so I was shocked to find that she still is. The scene between her and Topher was heartbreaking. Everything between Alpha, Echo and Caroline was epic. The back and forth between them all was great, answered a lot of questions about the Actives. Echo was wicked cool and the "confrontation" between herself and Caroline was one of the greatest things ever. And even though Alpha was psychotic, I actually sort of felt bad for him that his fantasy wasn't what it turned out to be. I'm also shocked as hell that Alpha got away. Aww. I'm really not a Paul fan, but what he did for November, err... Madeline, was just too sweet. Especially liked it because of what an ass he was to her last week. The scenes where Paul and Boyd worked together were pretty cool, they worked well off each other. So Paul is now sort of working for the Dollhouse? Wonder how that will turn out. What a contradicting idiot. The last line was awesome, and setup a story perfectly for Season 2. Want now! Please FOX! Unaired Pilot spoilers: Wasn't the final scene in this episode the same ending as the old pilot? So hopefully Joss can go in the direction he wants to if there is a second season.

Fantastic episode and a great end to the season. Every character got a moment to shine, especially Amy Acker. Alan Tudyk stole the show last week, but Amy was in top form this week. Her 'reveal' was really awesome, as I was suspecting that to be Echo in the background dancing. I loved learning more about her as a doll, and the scene at the end with Topher was fantastic. Plus she looked gorgeous, especially in that first scene.
The main reason I want a Season 2 now is to see where they take her character (and she better become a regular). Claire finding out she is a doll and then going right back to work, there's just so many layers there that can be explored. It was especially interesting that Topher programmed her to hate him, my guess is because he felt guilty about what happened with Alpha and her scars. It was an interesting callback to Ghost with that "look" between them that we all mistook for a possible romantic connection between the two.
I could continue to rave about Whiskey's developments in this episode, as I thought that whole storyline was handled brilliantly, but a ton happened so...
The Caroline/Echo story had some very interesting stuff in this finale. Caroline continues to be a bit of a dud and we still don't know what really happened to her (which is fine), and I love that the very end was Echo saying her real name, as that was a basic callback to what this show REALLY is about at its core: Echo remembering her old self. This episode made me think of a lot that we might see in the future with this, such as what happens if Echo really does one day fully remember that she is Caroline? What does that mean for the Dollhouse's technology if a person is put into a wedge, but is still able to present themselves through a doll? Are there now two Caroline's? Or is Echo a Caroline/Echo hybrid? Really interesting stuff to think about.
I've always been a fan of Paul's, and I am glad he will now be working with the Dollhouse. I am sure some will think that story moved a little to quickly (trying to bring it down to working for them in the span of one episode), but I think once Paul was there and saw how it all worked, he realized that these people really are entering into business arrangements with this company. They are signing five year deals of their own accord and he just cannot mess with that. His interaction with Boyd was fantastic, and I enjoyed their team up to find Alpha.
The only character that didn't contribute a whole lot to this episode was Sierra, but her few lines were excellent (as were November's). I guess Madeline/November is done for good, but I wonder what will happen with Victor? Maybe he will be imprinted with a personality and work at the Dollhouse like Whiskey? Perhaps as a handler or something. It would have been interesting if we had seen more reaction from Adelle about his face, but this was a packed episode.
Overall, this was a brilliant episode the best in the series. While the Alpha story wasn't really concluded, I am happy with that because Alan Tudyk is really something special in this role.
Bring on some good ratings, as I am dying for a second season now.

Extremely original premise and the episode was fantastic! I think we can all now embrace Dollhouse into Joss' T.V. shows.

It was awesome. Claire's story was great - I love that the reason Alpha slashed her was because he wanted Echo to be number one. What happened to Sierra and November though - we saw promo pics of them looking for Echo?? Must have been cut?
And I so loved when Topher said they don't put souls in little glass jars with fireflies. Like when Angel's soul was in a jar!! lol.
