According to The Hollywood Reporter. Well this totally sucks. They better freaking air the other episodes like they promised.

Airing 9 more episodes of a series after cancellation has been announced would be unusual, since the chances of attracting new viewers become zero. However, they were going to air them during the hiatus (December and January) when nobody pays much attention to ratings.
Actually, it's possible the last 3 episodes might get burned off in February during the Olympics. There's no February sweeps next year.

According to Ausiello they will show the remaining episodes. bit.ly/Vx4vp Although this does not affect me like the cancellations of Angel and Firefly (especially Angel!)...I am saddened by the news. Sorry for those that really love the show. I hope that Joss is able to give it closure now.

Also according to Futon Critic they will be airing the rest of the episodes...as well as the idea that is hasnt been 'cancelled'...but that there ill be a cap on 13 eps of season 2 and the decision on a 3rd season will be made sometime next year. www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=8381"As previously announced, "Dollhouse" will return with back-to-back episodes on December 4, 11 and 18 before resuming its regular Friday, 9:00/8:00c slot on January 8."

WHAT?!
Hold up! I may just have to slap someone!
... Okay. Is this true?! Like, you sure?! Why would they air all the rest, if it is off for sure?!
I won't believe this until it comes directly from FOX. *Covers ears*

FOX hasn't really said anything yet, but it is official. The Futon Critic just updated their possible hope story saying it is cancelled. Variety, TV Guide, EW and others are also reporting it. Blegh. But according to Variety, FOX will still air all 13 episodes, with the last being the series finale. Sucks, but at least we still have nine more episodes to see.

Strike that futon critic story guys -sorry they have since posted this: "[UPDATED: The Hollywood Reporter's story indicates it has indeed been canceled, meaning we were just given the company line of never actually admitting something is canceled. We apologize for any false hope this story may inadvertently generate.]"
Oh well:(

I hate to say it, but it's better this way. With its numbers, there was no way Fox was going to renew it or even give it a back nine. By announcing the cancellation now, they can make episode 2.13 a real series finale with proper closure, and the cast and crew can get a head start on looking for new jobs.

I am really sad now. Just read this on Whedonesque. Why must Fox always screw Joss over?

Oh God this sucks. Like a lot. I can't say I'm surprised, but dang. Still stings.
"By the time the last episode airs, you'll know what my next project is." Sure hope it's not on FOX.

I don't think we'll see Joss on television again for a long while. If ever. Yeah, seriously. I think I recall him saying he wouldn't do another after Dollhouse in an interview with Rolling Stone. Pretty depressing. At least we have Season 8 and Dr. Horrible to look forward to. That'll do for now. He almost sounds a little relieved, not angry like he was with Angel and Firefly. That's not really surprising though.

Sigh..totally mellowed me out.
I'm just looking at the best way, FOX set it up for failure but gave it a chance anyway and all we can do is thank them for it.
Oh dearest Dollhouse, I will miss you dearly and you'll always be in my heart especially for leading me to Buffy. Goodbye.
