Apparently, MySpace Dark Horse Presents is no longer, due to massive job cuts at circling-the-drain Myspace. This article has a preview page and links to the eComics section of the Dark Horse website, claiming the content of MDHP #24 is all currently up there. But I'll be damned if I can find it. Then again, not being able to find anything on DH's website is nothing new for me. If anyone can find the correct link to the Buffy story, please post it... ETA: We have it now.Always Darkest - written by Joss Whedon and illustrated by Jo Chen.

Yea I don't see it but the preview looks great!
Interesting fact: The outfit that Buffy is wearing is the same as the future Buffy that we see in "Anywhere But Here". Does this MDHP foreshadow the end of season 8?

That's definitely the room where Buffy's "closest betrayal" vision took place in "Anywhere But Here."
So I wonder... does this comic depict the event Buffy and Willow were seeing? I kind of doubt it, since Scott Allie said this comic was "less than serious."

Jo Chen's art was awesome! That was pretty funny. Love the wedding scene.

Epic. This was just so bloody brilliant! Joss and Jo are the best combo EVER.
SLASHY HECK! Also, love the cameos in the last page. Willow and her future self, Xander, Sweet, the Judge, Clem, the Gentlemen, vampy cats, Caleb, Warren, Buffy, Tara (well yay, she was in season 8 finally), Elvis (wtf?) and what's that big thing with the carrot nose?

Is that Kenny in his Thricewise form? Not sure. Is that Dark Willow with Regular Willow? At first I thought that was Kennedy, turned all Goth and evil. Regular Willow doesn't look very happy. Angel and Spike still going at it during the wedding scene. I thought the "glide" sound effect was interesting... Buffy sure does have gayness on the mind lately, doesn't she? I want to see her dreams about Faith.

Saw the Angel/Spike thing coming the moment Spike acknowledged that Angel had a soft spot for bottle blonds. As for the betrayal thing... Buffy is wearing the same outfit, and is in the same room as her vision. And there was a moment of seriousness before the Spangel slash went into hyperdrive: "You can't kill what's inside of you"... We do know from the solicitations from #27 and #28 that Buffy will try to suppress magicks, most likely including the Slayer essence within.

The title was interesting too: "Always Darkest." [Before the Dawn]

OMG! THAT was good! And hilarious! And.. oh.. weird as hell: What was Tara doing in Buffy's wedding? Am I the only one who found that disturbing, specially her line "I still blame you for my death". Really creepy.
Other than that, or maybe because of that too, those pages deserve to be printed in the Retreat TPB (I wouldn't mind paying for a poster of the wedding either!) I mean... it even made me search out for 2 forgotten passwords so I could post again (been following the forum in the shadows for some time).
Oh! And I love Buffy's face when she wakes up. That was as priceless as finding out what Buffy's prophetic nightmares are about! Can't help but smile at the comics ahead!

I wonder how much of this strip is actual foreshadowing, disguised as wacky comedy?
Wouldn't be the first time Joss got sneaky like that.

I get the feeling Joss is definitely being sneaky. The "unexpected betrayal" shout-outs and then ending on "Everybody die always". It's hilarious fun, but it makes you go 'wait a sec'.
I'm pretty sure the purple thing is Ratio, the tooting puppet from Smile Time.

I'm pretty sure the purple thing is Ratio, the tooting puppet from Smile Time. Ratio didn't have head tentacles, did he? And that looks like a tentacle/tongue rather than a trumpet. I think it's Kenny and is Jo poking fun at her infamous #25 cover.

Really creepy. Is that Tara? I thought it was Anya, and that's such and Anya thing to say. Don't mind me! Someone pointed out what looks like a bullet hole ... and I guess it looks like Tara is leaning over to speak to Warren, so that makes sense.
