May I ask why do people even consider Spike or Angel? Please just state why you think that because I find it literally IMPOSSIBLE for them to be TWILIGHT. But if you can give me a liable explanation as to why they may be TWILIGHT, then maybe I can understand it more... -------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyways, the two main people I think it is, is Giles or Buffy.
-It is possible that it is Giles because of how much he's NOT been in s8. And because of the little coincidences in s7 and throughout the series. Where he gets one of Glory's minions to speak to him in about two seconds. How the sun is rising up behind him, which is known as TWILIGHT ... from night to sunrise, daybreak, whatever.
-Its another massive possibilty that it is BUFFY. She is the dark. There are many explanations for it, either relating to magic or not. It could be the SECOND buffy that's supposedly hanging with the Immortal. It could be the darkness in Buffy's slayer power that has taken form seeking vengeance on her and all of magic. Either way, I will not be completely shocked with when the mask is off, Buffy is behind it.

You can actually buy a program that converts your dvds or clips on your computer into Blu-Ray so you don't have to buy it all over again. Or maybe that program is illegal...I dunno. Never mind. Anyways, I would LOVE blu-ray Buffy action! Awesomeness!!

I think Twilight is someone that Buffy not only knows but is friends with, or close with. Someone from her past or present. So I highly doubt it is Caleb.

I have a weird feeling they're gonna end an issue with Twilight taking off his mask, or somehow his mask gets taken off, and we don't see all of him, just his mouth down, and then we're on Buffy who looks at him and is like "No...." or something heartfelt and we won't find out until the next issue! XD grrr

Oh. My. God. This episode is really sad. I mean, REALLY sad. I especially felt for Topher and Adelle who both, I believe, suffered the most in this episode. It was great to see Whiskey again and I have a question that I'll put in the spoiler below ... Did Caroline kill Adelle, like was it implied?

Be sure to watch "Showdown" or "Bring on the Night" for the Giles scene. He steps out to Buffy and the time of day is TWILIGHT. Twilight is falling behind him. It's awesome, and very suspicious-y. lol

This always bugs me. There's probably a simple answer to this simple question, but I really am confused. She IS in high school, but not THE high school but WHAT high school?

I think you can see more of the wearer of the mask's likeness. Who does he look like to you people? I have my little thought, based on some of the lines on the mask, but I don't want to turn this thread into a Twilight debate. Love the cover, not as good as Chen's would have been, but its very COMIC-Y like.

Just noticed. In #10 Buffy is lying down with cuts and scars all over her. She is wearing the same clothes as she is in this dream sequence of "Always Darkest". It is very cool. And, I was re-watching season 5 and watched "I was made to love you" when the robot is slowly shutting down...
It says "It's ......always...darkest....before...the..." and then dies down. Then Joyce is found dead. I think this season has something to do with Dawn that will either end up her dying, her finding out more about this key, but the term "ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN" would mean s1-4, before Dawn came. So does that mean with Dawn things will get better, or worse?? I'm confused...

I know everyones entitled to say what they want on here, but don't you think you're being a little bit overdramatic?

No. I'm sorry, but no. There is no way Willow is that much of an ass! No offense to people's oppions and all, but why would she all of a sudden go "Wait a second...I still love you..."
It's been like four years...

Since "Retreat" my Giles is Twilight theory has dimmed a little, but I think its only because he's back with Buffy. It just made me go "awww...how sweet" but I still think there's something not right about him. I mean Twilight's dialogue is very Giles-esque!

I have a bad feeling that this issue will be the less-awesome issue of this arc. It seems they are trying to explain two things in this issue. -Oz's past, trying to fill us in on his full story, or most of it. -Getting all the characters to interact with one another. I think the issue will start with all main characters in a room together discussing tactics, or what has happened with this whole Twilight thing, with Oz. I'm sure Oz will be all like "So...how've you all been." Buffy: Dead. Willow: Gay and/or Evil. Xander: Pirate or Watcher, dunno. Giles: Busy. Faith: Five by Five. Dawn: ...and you are?? I can just picture it. I think Oz will be narrating the issue most, so we can understand how he feels about all the characters, and maybe, just maybe, he's found a girlfriend at the temple, or someone he truly loves. Either way, can't wait.

I don't know. I think un-called for jokes, just acting on nerves. But for a character who was so mysterious in the first two seasons (2-3) I think he'll keep a pretty open mind on the whole "lesbian thing". I think he'll interact more with Xander --

This issue is by far the best in the season 8 collection. I've decided to give full reviews on each issue from this one onwards, in hopes to analyze everything in order to understand how things will come together in the end. Just to help me out, and possibly give you guys something to talk about. It'd be cool if this thread reached 50pgs, coz the issue deserves a lot of praise.
-Okay so we start with Buffy and Willow retreating back into their newly acquired base. I've got to say, the cameos of old characters from the season sure put a smile on my face; its good to see Satsu again.
-I'm really loving the Faith/Giles relationship. But something that I am a bit squirmy on is the question "Why is Giles involved with this?" Now I ask the question because in season seven, he fought his war, taught his slayer everything, and was pretty much done in that area of Watcher-ness. And I am not trying to discuss "who twilight is" but with the whole tracing magics, etc, why would the demons suddenly FIND where Faith and Giles was unless some sort of magic was going on down there, whether Giles be Twilight, or not, just is interesting to debate.
-Andrew leading the squad into that horrible place was a highlight of this issue. He has got to be one of my favourite characters in this season, evolved so much. Now, the place they are in reminds me of the place in FRAY. Where that demon at the beginning of the Graphic Novel, is running through saying "She is discovered" and goes through all those tasks to dinf Urkon. If you get the chance, have a look at the two pictures and you'll see the resemblance. Him meeting Warren was pretty cool, but I don't understand how he notices him, the man has no skin. Anyway, I loved the "we are as gods" cameo, very entertaining, and I liked how Warren was able to distract Andrew with his nerd powers, so to speak.
-A lot of people died this issue, which was a good plot twist, with slayers falling dead, to demons getting their heads cut off, you name it. This is a milestone in the season, that I think will elevate the season to big climax ... and suprising conclusion!
-Giles and Buffy coming back together in that Father/Daughter kind of way was very touching, and very needed.
- I don't know what is going to happen with Willow in season 8. Her character is beginning to scare me a little. I am feeling very worried as to what is going to happen to her, espicially after hearing Buffy's concern for her. Which I thought had left her, but obviously it hasn't.
-Finally, Oz has returned, and it was done very awesomely!
Favourite Death: Random Witch/Slayer with a brain-fry. Favourite Cameo: We are as Gods! Favourite Return: Oz (but also Warren). Favourite Quote(s): Andrew: We have a submarine; Oz: Huh?; and Giles: I'd ask for an explanation and then express skepticism..."
10/10 - best issue so far!!

For the TPB, I would like everyone walking away from us. They all have their backs to us. Except for Buffy, who stands looking at us with fear written all over her face and the TWilight symbol blood red in the sky.

She became a goddess in the series finale ... or to be more up to date ... the seventh season finale. But I get what you mean, Willow has learnt a lot. But a lot of people are judging that by Dark Willow. Because she was no where near as powerful in season seven as she was in say, season 6. It's just her past that people depict her strength on. In season 7 she was quite weak ... in a way. Or dismissive of her powers. But I agree with you on the neck breaking thing lol. I can picture Willow clicking her fingers and *SNAP* goes Buffy's neck.

I don't get why people think Willow is more powerful than Buffy. I mean, yes she is a goddess and has centuries worth of magic on her side, but Buffy could just ... oh I don't know ... break her neck. Ever since DARK WILLOW everyone thinks that she is THAT powerful 24/7. Yes, we saw a side to her that could kick Buffy's ass, but that was a phase, and since then, as Buffy stated in the seventh season of Buffy, "Everyone has pretty much stopped being the best they can be". She saw Willow be at her most powerful, when she was DARK WILLOW, and knows that Willow has that in her. But what Willow doesn't know is that she can tap into that amount of power without going DARK. And when she tries, she goes DARK because of that weakness. Sorry to go off topic but ... just a big Buffy fan XD. lol.
I'd say season 8 focuses more on "slayers" in general, with BUFFY as their leader. She has been the main focus from the beginning of the season, excluding the one-shot issues such as Predators and Prey, etc. XD
