Don't think it's even been established that Willow can actually time travel. In TOYL. Dark willow knows about/creates the portal. DW tells Saga to tell present Willow to go to New york. Either way, FDW has knowledge of when/how to time travel.

Is it just me, or does Buffy look like she's in sort of a trance-like-state? The way i see the image is Buffy closed eyes, happy to be in Angels loving embrace, but in closing her eyes she cant see the danger that he intends. Metaphor for "love is blind" etc...

Random thought after reading the preview. Weve been told (in Fray) that all magic is taken from this world. But we know magic "survives" because of future willow/Fray etc. Well what with these "ripples" and time travel. If Willow finds out that magic gets taken away, could she not time travel, she cant now, but we know that she can at some point in the future develop this power. Lets say magic is just about to be taken away from this world, Willow could just jump forward a week or something. She avoids the magic being taken away from her and explains (to some extent) how magic "survived" the purge of magic.

Twilight has touched things, so it can't be The First. Plus, re-using a Big Bad for two seasons in a row would just be silly. Alot of people forget part of its endgame was to become corporeal. By tipping the scales in evils favour. Well, Vamps are "in", the Slayer army has had to into hiding..... the scales may have tipped.

Perhaps he is just trying to take away the ability to manipulate magic, to give the 'energy' back to the earth.

So, Jeanty/Chen send their covers to Dark horse. Dark horse then send out April's solicitations to online comic sites/comic shops? CBR then release the covers.
Where did the "mistake" happen? Dark horse wasnt meant to send them out? Dark horse were meant to say "dont leak these"? CBR was told, but did it anyway?
As stupid as it may sound, depending on where the mistake lies, may convince me whether these are indeed a mistake, or foilers.

Well yeah, lets just go with the assumption Dark horse are using this as a huge publicity stunt. "Milk it for all its worth". Thats still awful of them. I know this is going to sound petty haha, but if they had even said "So turns out Twillight has been revealed LINK send in your examples of foreshadowing blah blah...."
That would have been acceptable, they gave US a choice whether to go see who Twilight is, im just in deep shock that Dark horse would spoil it for everyone who hadn't been spoiled yet.
And to answer your earlier question, im swaying between "acceptance" and "denial". Im happy with it being Angel, like REALLY. but there is some voice, in the back of my head going "There is too much publicity, they would NOT reveal such a huge spoiler" Its too easy to have stumbled across those images, scott allie pretty much instantly admitted it was all true, as if he knew it was going to happen.
Ive not bitten the bait yet, but im deeply contemplating it.

faithswatcher: CBR isn't a Buffy site or forum, and it's on their giant headline.. But its a comic book site, so again, I wouldnt EXPECT spoilers, but its not surprising if you go on there and get spoiled. Dark horse announcing on their website where you choose to go with a click of a mouse, fine, your fault. On FACEBOOK.... you wouldnt (shouldnt) expect companies to ruin a product for you through no choice of your own. CBR/Slayalive/Whedonesque/Darkhorse official site = your own choice to go on there and see whats there. Facebook = personally ruining the comic for each individual who claims to be a "fan" with no choice left for the consumer.

Ok lets try some positivity, looking past the fact this was ruined for me when i didnt want it spoiled, i like the idea of it being Angel. Angel is indeed one of the most "unexpected", we are getting mad people because it makes no sense for it to be Angel and i agree, Angel makes NO sense... yet. I think this could be an interesting spin, especially if they are going to tie it into IDW comics too. In fact i think it being Angel is too interesting, that 7/8 comics just wont cover enough.
Somebody mentioned before, with the opponent being someone we know, who will switch sides?
Buffy and Angel vs Willow and Xander Where would Giles fit? Faith? Dawn? In fact this has the potential for everyone vs Willow. Or Everyone vs Bangel. I wish THIS Twilight reveal had been sooner in the season.

At this point, anyone who ventures in here will be spoiled. . Yeah i completely get that coming on here was a major mistake of my own, but i didn't think that they would reveal who twilight is so figured i was safe on here, for at least another month. Why shouldnt dark horse put it on their facebook? Because there was many people who hadn't seen the covers, if i hadn't stumbled into the wrong thread I doubt i would have known until the issue came out. Its as if Dark horse wanted to piss off the rest of the fans, the ones who hadn't already been spoiled. You go on a Buffy site, you take a risk of spoilers. You go on facebook, you should feel pretty safe from spoilers, especially from the company that is making the product. Imagine if Joss himself, episodes before each huge moment of the series made a big deal of revealing things in interviews and such "Jenny dies" "the mayor turns into a giant snake" "Joyce dies, Riley leaves, Buffy dies, ENJOY" In fact, there is so much press at the minute surrounding this big reveal, I kind of don't believe it. But at the same time, its the one thing that keeps saying "why would they go to all of this trouble to jam it down our throats if it wasnt actually true..."

I understand people being upset but really this was a spoiler, no one really had to look. Infact im dieing to tell my friend but she is having no part of it. I spoiled myself by looking and everyone knew Twilight was going to be outted in 33 so 34 could have the reveal but we all chose to look. We got spoiled. Thats not true. I clicked on the front page "twilight issue..." assuming it was discussion on the issue before. PLUS, any 'fans' of dark horse on facebook were treated to a status update by DARK HORSE saying "so.... Angel is twilight, there were many clues and red herrings, discuss them in the comments"

i have a few things against this: 1. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SPOIL IT WITH RELEASING THE COVERS? 2. REALLY... ANGEL?!?!?! REALLY? 3. what POSSIBLE motive would Angel have to be Twilight? I'm a little pissed if you can't tell. 1) this is the only thing im pissed about 2) Angel being Twilight is fine along as... 3) we dont know the motive yet which could be really good, but mostly this seems like a "you'll have to buy the issue to find out WHY angel is twilight, which links back to 1)

Sorry had to mention the lolz. Dark horse have posted on their facebook
"so... angel is twilight, discuss the clues and foreshadowing, best observation wins a Buffy hardback cover"
All theyve got is abuse so far. Backfire much....

Just throwing it out there, someone mentioned about how the cover may not actually represent WHAT happens in the comic. and would be horrifically ironic to have the covers depicting how buffy and angel were/should be on a comic where Buffy and Angel are at war.
Think, the dinner scene in the body, before were brought back to reality. Or when Buffy dreams that they save her mother in time, they are in the ambulance, everything is fine...BAM reality. Selfless, you get to see a unseen Anya song, them BAM back to reality and Anya with a sword through her chest.
This could be Joss' version of this in the comic world. If its Angel, i trust Joss, im just dissapointed the cover ruined it for me before i got to the reveal.

Ive got a feeling that there will be something that has happened, almost in front of our eyes/behind the scenes that we dont know of that we will find out soon.
We all noticed the difference in Twilights body langage etc in retreat, compared to lets say beautiful sunset.
What if Twilight was killed half way through the season or something. And Angel has been leading the twilight army under Buffy's orders for a while, would explain why Riley was there too. Twilights plan could be Buffy's plan.

when i saw the last panel, i thought Buffy became a giant (like dawn) did not realize she was flying until i came into the forum.... I thought it was Buffy's dead body in the snow, and that was representive of Buffy's spirit (dead? Seperated from her body?) Then came on here (or maybe the letter page) and was like, oh... shes flying.

Well obviously ive not read it, so dont know whether its worth keeping until issue 30. Basically is there still alot of setting up in this issue before issue 30. Having read 29, in your opinion, would be better to read it with 30, or does it have enough info/events to make the issue worth reading now.

I have not read it yet, hence why im avoiding the main thread of spoilers. I bought it when it came out but decided to keep it until issue 30 comes out, this is my way of solving the fact that the issues are not long enough.
28 was clearly setting up the coming issues, ending on the revelation that "Twilight is on his way..."
Should i save issue 29, and read it when I have bought issue 30 to make a double length showdown epic. Or do you think its worth reading 29 now.
