Real name? Elisabeth
How old are you right now? 39 years old.
What do you study/do for a living? Assistant Professor at University.
Place you are from? Austria
Place where you live now? Vienna, Austria
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 36, in August or September 2006.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I started watching the show because there was an article on AfterEllen.com claiming that Buffy is better than The L-Word. A show about high school kids chasing vampires and demons better than the only lesbian show on TV, I thought, what an absurd thought. Then I read that Jennifer Beals is an avid fan of the show. I love Jennifer Beals. So I thought I might as well give it a shot. I actually only watched it for its lesbian content – first – but I soon discovered that there is much more to the show than I had originally thougt. I became intrigued. When I had watched all seven seasons, I started watching Angel (which got me not so hooked). At a conference I talked about Buffy with a colleague from political philosophy and she told me there were papers and books and an online journal on Buffy. I started reading and re-watching, and now I’m a complete Buffy-maniac.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Welcome to the Hellmouth.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When I watched Chosen for the first time and felt so empty when it ended I started to rewatch until The Witch. After that, it was Angel.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? When I realized I brought Buffy up regularly also in my job context.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Flawed as some storylines might have been, they were always intriguing and made me think.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya. She’s hilarious. I also loved Cordelia (“spank your inner moppet”) in Buffy and in the first two seasons of Angel.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? None of the regulars.
What is your favorite female character? Willow, she is just fascinating.
What is your favorite male character? Xander, even though I often find him extremely annoying.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Willow/Tara, but they should have had more screen time. I’m also not a hater of Willow and Kennedy. Those two are sexy.
Buffy’s soul mate? Spike. Because he is badder than Angel and Buffy loves the badness in her boy.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Tara’s. Made me feel like I had lost a friend.
What is your favorite season and why? Season four, because it has the highest number of excellent single episodes. Also I didn’t mind the initiative storyline as much as most people seem to.
What season did you enjoy the least? Season 7. But it’s still mostly good.
If you had to rank the seasons? 4-3-6-2-5-1-7
What is your favorite big bad? Angelus.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Season 2 Finale because it was so tragic and Buffy found so much strength in herself, despite her grief over what she had to do.
What is your favorite fight? Buffy versus Angelus in Becoming Part 2. I love how it repeatedly cuts to Willow doing the spell.
Do you have one favorite episode? Once More With Feeling ranks very high, as does Doppelgangland. So much fun, so much forshadowing!
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I think it’s the most intelligent show on TV. It treats its characters with respect, has them develop in amazing ways and if you look at what they have become you always realize that the roots for this can be seen in the earliest of episodes. Just take Willow’s taste for revenge: Already in the Harvest she makes Cordelia delete a program they had to write with one false hint. Awesome.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Very much so. They continue to amaze me.

Real name? Irekanmi
How old are you right now? 15 years old.
What do you study/do for a living? My GCSE's
Place you are from? Lagos, Nigeria (you know, from age 0 to 2)
Place where you live now? London, England
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 11
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I had a misconception that Buffy was scary, but once I started watching it I enjoyed it.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Nope.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When I would half walk/half run home from school to catch the 4.00pm on Sky1.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? I cried on the last episode. I NEVER cry wathcing TV. Stupid Spike andAnya for dying.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? No not really.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya, both Cordy and Spike got a bit boring over time. (although they still had their moments)
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Rona, Caleb, I used to hate Dru but I'm now only at strong dislike.
What is your favorite female character? I can't pick between Anya and Cordy
What is your favorite male character? Spike. Nuff said.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Cangel. I know I'm a sucker.
Which death touched you the most? Wesley's. The saddest thing to me is someone dying, when they have nothing tolive for.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 6. I will lie and say it is because of the Musical. When really it is because of the raunchy sex scenes.
What season did you enjoy the least? Season 1. I hardly even watch it.
If you had to rank the seasons? 6-4-2-3-7-5-1
Who is your favorite big bad? Angelus
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Graduation Day part 2. One. The biting scene between Buffy and Angel was hawt. Two. The picture of Sunnydale High '98 prepared for battle was amazing. Three. Cordy stakes a vamp. Four. Angel leaves Buffy and becomes a person. Five. Principal Snyder gets eaten.
What is your favorite fight? Primeval, Buffy with that whole "essence of a slayer" thing was awesome.
Do you have one favorite episode? Once More With Feeling.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? If I could sum it up it into words, I'd know the meaning of life.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Yup. But Ialways get them a lot later because I only get the graphic novels.

Figured being new around here is couldn't hurt to fill this out...
Real name? James Ryan ____
How old are you right now? 22
What do you study/do for a living? English, emphasis on creative writing, wouldn't mind dabbling in script writing...if it was with the right people.
Place you are from? Missouri
Place where you live now? Missouri
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I believe I was ten.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? Abso-freaking-lutely!
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Inca Mummy Girl...and my mom used to get so mad at me because I'd eat Twinkies the way Xander teaches the mummy girl to lol.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? Ummm...I think I always knew...but probably recently when I made it through season six and seven in a period of about three days so I could start the season eight comics and get caught up.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? See above...If Buffy were magic, I'd have a bad case of the veiny face.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I think there were a few episodes here and there that dragged, but I can't really think of anything I would want to change...so I'll say no. The only thing that really pushed it with me was Spike's soul retrieval...but even that seemed to have it's place and purpose.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya, definitely Anya. I love that girl...Xander would be a close close second though.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? RILEY
What is your favorite female character? Oh this is tough....Willow or Anya........probably.
What is your favorite male character? Giles...when Giles kind of faded from the picture, Xander grew on me a lot. He was always a close second.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Xander and Anya really...they were great.
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel, I guess. But I really don't know if a slayer can truly have a soul mate....if she did though I'd go with Angel...the rest just seemed to forced. Riley was boring, Spike was kind of forced.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce tore me to pieces. Something about the natural death I think. Jenny and Anya got me too.
What is your favorite season and why? There are pieces of every season I really liked. If I really had to pick...maybe 2? Spike and Dru all the way.
What season did you enjoy the least? I like them all...there were points in season six that it kind of seemed to drag. I couldn't really get into the whole trio thing.
If you had to rank the seasons? Oh I don't even know.
What is your favorite big bad? Spike before they had him fixed.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Oh man, Dark Willow was pretty attention grabbing...but that end scene of season 5 has to be my pick. Buffy jumping, her speech to Dawn, the heart wrenching scene of everyone approaching her body...that was some powerful stuff.
What is your favorite fight? Do I have to pick? lol Harmony Vs. Xander...lol In all honesty, that's one of the hardest questions on here...maybe Buffy vs. Angel...the sword fight at the end of S2.
Do you have one favorite episode? Tabula Rasa ranks pretty high on the list...I know a lot of people say that one but it just cracks me up to watch. "RANDY GILES?!"
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? There will never be another show that breaks as much ground as Buffy did. The characters alone were incredible. They completely drove the stories. It's hard for me to think about a show replacing Buffy as my #1. It was the first serious show I really got into and the only one that has stuck with me.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? I'll tell you when I get started...comics are coming in the mail! But from what I have heard, I think I will.

Real name? Chris How old are you right now? 20 years old. One month away from 21 What do you study/do for a living? Work on a hydroponic lettuce farm Place you are from? Townsville/Mount Isa, Australia Place where you live now? Atherton, Australia How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? About 2 years ago, so I was round about 19 Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? Took me a while actually, since I was originally seeing scenes on YouTube, but when I started watching it on DVD, I got into it Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Dunno. The very first time I remember seeing it on TV was 'Where the Wild Things Are', but that was like one scene. I started getting into it while watching the fight scene between Buffy and Dark Willow on a friend's computer When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? While watching the second half of Buffy season 5 with a couple of friends. I was just intruiged with the characters and Glory. Spike was the reason I watched Angel season 5 Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? It hasn't reached that point just yet, but it's increasing Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I didn't see any shark-jumping whatsoever, so no Which character gave you more laughs overall? Spike. Definitely. He was my first favourite character, right from the start. Then I branched out to Xander and Cordelia Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Kennedy and Rona were the ones who absolutely annoyed me. I didn't mind Riley, Connor or Dawn actually. They weren't that bad of characters, but definitely Kennedy and Rona What is your favorite female character? Cordelia, Faith and Illyria. I love those three and its hard to pick between the three of them honestly What is your favorite male character? Angel and Spike. Again, it's hard to pick between them, cuz some days I like Angel more and other days I like Spike more What relationship did you “worship” the most? Angel and Cordelia. I always like the whole 'best friends=great lovers' relationship and I just loved the relationship between them. I think they would have made a great couple and it's just such a shame that they never got together. At least there's 'You're Welcome', which is wonderful and bittersweet. I also worship Spike and Illyria a lot. Love them two together Buffy’s soul mate? Hmm, I'd say in all honesty, it would be Spike. Him for sure Willow’s soul mate? Tara or Oz. Hard to pick between them Xander’s soul mate? Anya. They were great together. Why couldn't they get married? Which death touched you the most? Cordelia's. Every time I watch the ending of 'You're Welcome', I just wanna grab the tissues and cry, cuz it's so bittersweet. It's beautiful really. I don't cry, but it touches me every time What is your favorite season and why? I don't really have a favourite season honestly, but perhaps season 7. Mainly for Spike and Buffy's close friendship and the final battle. Plus, Spike's sacrifice is great to see. A fitting end to a great character. At least until 'Conviction' What season did you enjoy the least? Season 3 for the Bangel relationship and Season 6 for it's boringness. Not a lot of episodes in season 6 that keeps me interested If you had to rank the seasons? 7-5-4-2-3-6-1 What is your favorite big bad? Angelus. Wicked, wicked evil. Mayor and Glory were pretty cool. Dark Willow is just behind them What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Chosen. I love the final battle, the music is wonderful and Spike's sacrifice is just, well, heartbreaking and inspiring What is your favorite fight? Buffy and Spike in the daytime. I love it how Spike completely pawns her during the fight, just throwing her around the place, while taunting her. Excellent fight scene. Buffy vs Faith (GDp2) and Buffy vs Dark Willow are also pretty cool fights Do you have one favorite episode? Once More, With Feeling. Who doesn't love that episode? Rest in Peace, Standing, Under Your Spell/Standing and Walk Through the Fire are my favourite songs from that episode Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? If I tried to explain how special it is, I wouldn't make any sense. It is simply a really great and wonderful show and I'm glad I got to enjoy it, even it was four years after it finished Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? I enjoy Season 8 and now it's starting to get better

Ah, I enjoy doing these when I'm tired...
Real name? Nate
How old are you right now? 22 years old.
What do you study/do for a living? I'm an English major, so I don't really have a living. But I also work at a drug store. The legal kind, not the blow-up-the-RV kind.
Place you are from? Angola, Indiana
Place where you live now? Kenosha, Wisconsin (in a little town called Silver Lake)
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 21 when I watched my first full episode. I can still remember seeing bits and pieces of reruns on FX (or whatever) a while ago.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? That's kind of difficult to answer. With the aforementioned rerun watch-age, I didn't really even think about it. Complete indifference. I think I remember seeing Oz in his cage (although it stuck in my memory as Oz being chained up to the wall), and thinking to myself "why is this old British guy hanging out with these teenagers?". But once I got the DVD set, I knew from the WttH that I loved it.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? The first one.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? It must have been when I was through the first three seasons in less than 2 weeks. Yeah. Oh and then it hit me again after I finished the series in under a month (and that's including watching Angel season 1 in between Buffy season 3 and 4)
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Usually with a TV show that I "love" (and I use that "love" lightly) I'll think to myself that I'll never get sick of it... And then, upon starting it up again from the beginning, I get bored. Like with 30 Rock--as much as I love the show and think it's funny, I don't quite have an urge to rewatch it very much. But with Buffy, I've only been a fan of the show for about 18 months and I've watched through the entire series 4 times without getting sick of it. Oh, and not to mention all the Buffy eBay-ing that I do on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Not in the sense that it "went bad", but I really didn't think Adam was handled very well. Even though I didn't like him (I'd rate him a C+) he wasn't enough to bring down my interest in the season.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? This is a matter of quantity/quality. I really don't know. All of the laughs were quality really, but some hit me really hard, and some hit me lightly but frequently. That said, probably Xander or Anya.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Adam
What is your favorite female character? Probably Buffy, but also Anya.
What is your favorite male character? Spike
What relationship did you “worship” the most? None really. I thought most of them were okay, served their purposes, but none really sunk into me. Spike and Buffy was maybe the most interesting to me though.
Buffy’s soul mate? To be alone.
Willow’s soul mate? If there's one thing I learned from this show...
Xander’s soul mate? Well, I can tell you this much... it's that soul mates aren't really.. you know... a thing (at least according to my interpretation of the show)
Which death touched you the most? Joyce.
What is your favorite season and why? I've changed my mind so many stinking times its not funny. Previously on another board I said 5, but now I'm getting nostalgic and I'm thinking it's 3. Honestly, I haven't lived in the show long enough to really have a definite favorite. Maybe once I've been a fan for more than a couple years I can better answer this question. A little OT but: I loved having the entire series on DVD as my first experience with the show because I didn't have to wait days, weeks, months to see how the stories would play out. But I think I missed out on living with the characters for 7 years. I mean, I'll have that chance, but still... having to have the "wait" must have had a difference in the whole Buffy experience.
What season did you enjoy the least? None, really.
If you had to rank the seasons? Skipping this one, I'm terrible at ranking things.
What is your favorite big bad? Glory.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Restless
What is your favorite fight? The "Chosen" fight, with the music, and new Slayers, and the girl looking up from the home plate (not really a fight but... still, I love that moment).
Do you have one favorite episode? Hmm... Probably Restless, although I wouldn't say that's my end-all be-all favorite.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? Maybe I'll come back to edit this later, add more to it... I'm tired and all... But I love how smart the show is. It's special in that it's accepting of all kinds of people, even the snobs like Cordelia, the dorks like Andrew; it serves great metaphors on redemption, feminism, fashion (huh? kidding. kind of) and it paints a realistic picture of how bad it sucks to work in a fast-food joint.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Oh yes, yes I do. Very much. I read them, bag them away, then buy the trades and read them again. It's not how I'd have imagined the series to continue, but they're great in their own right.

Real name? Amanda
How old are you right now? 21
What do you study/do for a living? Work in a deli while taking some courses.
Place you are from? Winnipeg, MB
Place where you live now? Same place.
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? Grade 3. So, wow, 7? 8?
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I remember seeing commercials and I was really excited for it. I remember being really excited for Friday Night TV on YTV because they had a bunch of shows on late that I watched with my mom. Buffy was one of them, Freaky Stories, and Are You Afraid of The Dark. I was really into that whole 'high school tv' thing, and I really liked how she was a normal girl, who was a superhero. I didn't really realize how much I liked the show at that age until I remember remember being Buffy for a Halloween costume in Grade 5 and I won. I can remember watching a scene from The Harvest, where they pan from the front of the school into the Masters lair.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I remember watching The Harvest. the fight at the bronze, the Master, Angel.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? Grade 5. I was Buffy for Halloween that year. Haha, I remember thinking it was just like Buffy since we had a grad ceremony for finishing Elementary school.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? OMG. Every few months I'll go through my DVD's and Ill rewatch something, or listen to a song that was in a scene on Buffy and i'll either want to cry, or I will cry! I think now that it's over, I feel I have to treasure it more. Then buy all the S8 comics of course haha.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Jumped the shark? No way! Surprised us? Sure, but Buffy always did it in a way that made sense to the story. Dawn wasen't one because it made Buffy grow and ended up shocking everyone when Buffy died. I remember me and my mom fighting over 'IS SHE REALLY DEAD?!'
Which character gave you more laughs overall? A combo of Giles and Xander. My 2 fav funny episodes have to be, A New Man and Band Candy. That scene in Xander's basement and Giles trying to get his help, I ROTFL every time! And Band Candy, so much, Snyder + angsty Giles!
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Kennedy. I didn't like her with Willow at all. Bratty. Bossy. Wood. bah. He didn't have anything going for him except his 'secret' which was interesting but the principal thing, meh.
What is your favorite female character? I love Buffy. I love Faith. I loved Buffy and Faith fighting together in S3. Especially 'Bad Girls'. Buffy win's obviously.
What is your favorite male character? Spike. Loved his story arc. The soul. Redemption story. He really changed 360 and he died at the end(of Buffy at least) without a selfish thought in his head.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? I liked Buffy/Angel until Spike fell in love with Buffy and really tried to change when he was still soulless.
Buffy’s soul mate? Spike. Even though Angel will win...
Willow’s soul mate? Tara
Xander’s soul mate? Anya
Which death touched you the most? Def. Joyce. You feel sick when you watch it because it looks so real. No music. Just raw emotion. It kills me to see Dawn break down when Buffy tells her. It makes you feel so much for this one episode of TV.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 3 + 5 are a tie. I can't pick! I Love love love Anne, Bad Girls, The Prom, Graduation 1+2. Season 5 was so fresh bringing in Dawn. Having Buffy really have to face growing up. The family theme they had was really beautiful.
What season did you enjoy the least? Season 6. It got too dark and weird for Buffy even though their were no bad episodes, just unfavored ones.
If you had to rank the seasons? 3-5-2-7-4-1-6
What is your favorite big bad? The Mayor, or Glory. The Mayor was cutesy funny and you really couldn't guess he was going to turn into a giant snake demon! Glory was strong, very threatening, shared a body with a mortal, and had spunk. She really was alot to handle for the scoobies.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Oooooooooo... hard... Becoming Pt1+2. I love the music, the emotion, the fight, the background stories... I've seen it so many times.
What is your favorite fight? Hmmm.... maybe the scene in Anne... with Spike and Buffy in daylight in The Hard Light of Day.
Do you have one favorite episode? Hmm.... it's kinda impossible because their are so many! Maybe The Wish.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? It had so many layers. It had everything you could want in a show, monsters, laughs, action, vampires, emotion, sing along, great scores, amazing writers. It made people feel. Open their minds. It touched on a lot of things using metaphors.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Better then no Buffy! lol I like them but nothing could compare to the actual series. I do get excited when they reveal something. I don't like this Buffy lesbo thing though.

Real name? Jasmine
How old are you right now? 21
What do you study/do for a living? Work at UPS and go to College. Both part-time
Place you are from? Originally Charleston, SC
Place where you live now? Louisville, Ky
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was 13
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I like the episode I first saw which was "The Gift" but I honestly forgot about it until it premiere on UPN. I watched "Bargaining 1 & 2 and then didn't watch it again until Tabula Rasa, but it was "Smashed that hooked me.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Oops already answered. The Gift
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? Oops already answered that one. I immediately started watching after Smashed.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Yes when I started buying the magazines and recording episode until it came out on DVD. I had never done that for any show before at the time. BTVS was my first. LOL.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Nope.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Andrew really, but it was a tight race between him, Anya & Spike.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Riley. I know alot people say why not Warren or somebody, but to me his character was more interesting to me than Riley. He just bored me. As the biggest Spuffy shipper I'll take Angel over Riley in a heartbeat for Buffy.
What is your favorite female character? Cordelia
What is your favorite male character? Spike
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Spike and Buffy of course. I'm also probably the only one who loved Xander & Cordelia.
Buffy’s soul mate? I know it's Angel, but I still want her to be with Spike.
Willow’s soul mate? I know it's Tara, but I still want her with Oz .
Xander’s soul mate? I know it's Anya, but I still want him with Cordy. There you go I have admitted defeat.
Which death touched you the most? Real tough. It's really between Buffy dying in place of Dawn and Joyce's death I swear I choke up everytime I watch it.
What is your favorite season and why? I'm probably the only one that will ever say season 6 just cause that when I first started watching the show.
What season did you enjoy the least? It's hard but I'll go with season one.
If you had to rank the seasons? 1=6, 2=8, 3=7, 4=7, 5=9, 6=8, 7=7
What is your favorite big bad? Angelus/Spike/Drusilla
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? The Gift and Grave
What is your favorite fight? Buffy and Faith fight in Graduation Day. Or actually anytime they have a fight scene it's awesome. And Spike and Buffy in Smashed.
Do you have one favorite episode? Ugh, there is no way I can pick one. OMWF, Smashed, Something Blue, School Hard, Grad. pt.1 and so much more I'll never choose.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? The AWESOME writers that made this show.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Their awesome.

How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 9-ish, but really got into it when I was 15
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I used to be annoyed at SMG's voice and nose sadly enough, and I used to think the show was evil (keep in mind, only a little kid) But I started watching it again a couple years ago and absolutely love, love, love it! So I guess it took time.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I'm not quite sure
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When I just had to buy the next season even though it was the last of my money.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Wow! Sounds intense, but I don't remember any specific times, no.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Not at all. Mwhahahahahahahaha
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Xander
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Dawn. They can't just write her into the story as a sudden relative to Buffy!
What is your favorite female character? Buffy! Buffy! Buffy!
What is your favorite male character? Giles. Gotta love the British.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Buffy and Angel.
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel. Unfortunately, he's such a good guy and knew that it couldn't work out because vampire + human = a trail of sad times ahead.
Willow’s soul mate? I have to go with Oz. They'll bump into each other again when they're blue-haired people!
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce's
What is your favorite season and why? S2!!!!!!! I loved how the romantic storyline between Buffy and Angel intensified just to be ripped apart after Innocence. Angelus was such a monster to her. Then Spike and Dru were amazing bad guys! They have great chemistry, and gets even better when Angelus comes into the mix. And S2 has some of the greatest episodes.
If you had to rank the seasons? 2 - 7 - 6 - 4 - 1 - 3 - 5
What is your favorite big bad? The Mayor
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Becoming Pt1/2
What is your favorite fight? How to pick one??? Yikes! Well, I have the earlier seasons on my brain, so the fight between Angelus and Buffy in S2 finale was emotionally intense. Or maybe Killed By Death when she fights the invisible dude that only children can see.
Do you have one favorite episode? Innocence
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? Joss is brilliant for making this series. Strangely enough, it's very relatable. There are times when we all feel alone in the world, and he really does high light that. And Buffy's special because she can kick butt!
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Well, I only read the first two story arcs, so I don't know if I'm qualified to answer this question, but so far, I absolutely love them!

Real name? Courtney! How old are you right now? 16 years old. What do you study/do for a living? I'm still a high school student. Place you are from? Southern California, USA Place where you live now? Southern California...still... How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I think it was about one or two years ago, so I guess I was around 15. Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? Well I started watching in season 5 and I have to say that I enjoyed it immensly. Do you remember the very first episode you watched? The season 5 opener was my first episode cuz I borrowed the DVDs from my friend. When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When I'd be watching 4 or 5 episodes a night just so I could get to the next season. Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? When I was done watching the show, I was SO incredibly bummed that it was over. Thats when I started watching Angel just to get more of the Buffyverse. I guess thats not too crazy. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I don't think they ever jumped the shark. There are definately some things I disagreed with (Tara, Anya, Riley getting married) but overall I never felt like they were getting rediculous. Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya. She was so blunt and unpredictable! She was just too cute! Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Not to sound obvious or anything but I'd have to say Riley. That guy was a real good for nothin! He leaves and then only comes back to show he got married and NOW he's Twilight??? I just really hate that guy. What is your favorite female character? Tara. She was the kindest soul on that show. You could see her growth as a person and it doesn't hurt that she's REALLY pretty. What is your favorite male character? Hm, probably Spike. He was funny and oh-so handsome throughout the entire series. Its also cool how he was always different from all the other vamps. What relationship did you “worship” the most? Willow/Tara! I used to love them together! They were one of my most favorite pairing. Now? Not so much....I stopped liking Willow after all the trouble she's caused. Buffy’s soul mate? Angel. Willow’s soul mate? Tara. Xander’s soul mate? Hm, hard to say. Which death touched you the most? Tara's death. I cried when she got shot. I was so devastated. It was so brutal and mundane for her to go that way. What is your favorite season and why? Season 7. Though many people don't like it's darkness, I find it kinda brilliant. War Buffy was just so much better than high school Buffy, imo. What season did you enjoy the least? Er, hard to say. I haven't watched the series in so long. I'd guess season 2. I didn't enjoy Angelus being the bad guy, even if he came back later. If you had to rank the seasons? 7-6-4-5-3-1-2 (Season 8 isnt over with but it'd be between 7 and 6 right now.) What is your favorite big bad? The Mayor. His pleasantness and the relationship he had with Faith was almost touching in a twisted sort of way. What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Well, probably season six. Willow was a true villian and it really hit home to have her pitted against all the Scoobies. The scene where she threatens Dawn was so horrible! What is your favorite fight? Um, I really dunno. I guess season 7 finale. I haven't really distinguished each fight as something different... Do you have one favorite episode? Suprisingly, I'd say Tabula Rasa. It was too funny to have Spike go as Randy. The whole episode was just priceless! Second fave would have to be Once More With Feeling of course. Musicals have always been my favorite. Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I think the storytelling was just so good. Joss is such a brilliant creator. Each twist and turn was just so good! I dunno if I can verbalize it well (I'm sure someone else who has taken this Questionnaire has answered this question better than me.) Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? YES! They are fantastic! I've always enjoyed the dark aspect of Buffy and so this is so exciting to read this season play out.

Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Too many times to point out lol. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Not at all. Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya definitley! Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Ugh I hated Riley he's such an annoying pansy ass. What is your favorite female character? Faith and Tara. What is your favorite male character? I actually don't know WOW lol probably Angel. What relationship did you “worship” the most? Tillow and Zillow. Buffy’s soul mate? Angel. Willow’s soul mate? Tara. Xander’s soul mate? Anya, Buffy & maybe Dawn. Which death touched you the most? I cried a dozen times watching The Body and Seeing Red What is your favorite season and why? Really hard for to answer so i'll just choose my favorite 3 seasons 3, 6 & 7. What season did you enjoy the least? S4. If you had to rank the seasons? 6, 7, 5, 3 , 2 , 4 & 1. What is your favorite big bad? The Master. I was always dissapointed he never came back. What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Dark Willow's arc was amazing! What is your favorite fight? Fuffy in 3x21. Do you have one favorite episode? Can't answer that lol Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? Everything! and all thanks to Joss. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Yes I do. So far i've only read 2 volumes but V2 was just so amazing and a huge improvement from the boring crap V1 was.

wow 13th years old... man that makes me feel kind of old... but good for you!
Real name?
Sue may
How old are you right now?
26 years old
What do you study/do for a living?
I’m a law student and work as a computer and software specialist.
Place you are from?
San José, Costa Rica (read not Puerto Rico and also not an island, it is located in central America).
Place where you live now?
San José, Costa Rica.
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode?
I was about 14
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it?
I loved the show from the first time I saw it. I was able to relate with the characters and the story telling. It was the most compelling show from when I was a teenager. It made me feel all sorts of different emotions and it was just pure awesomeness.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched?
The beginning of season one of course, there was such a hype over this show.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show?
After three episodes. I was watching the original broadcast and the rerun on Sundays. So pretty much from the get go.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it?
With the season 5 finale and the whole season 6 and 7. They were so dark and depressing and they handle the sex and adult themes extremely well.
And by the moment I was watching the last episode I was crying like a freaking baby:
1. Because my favorite show was ending and
2. Because it was a beautiful ending. I watched it with a friend from college who by the time was pretty much as addicted as I was. I wish I knew where she is now.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running?
no
Which character gave you more laughs overall?
my goodness cordelia, spike, the whole gang, they were super funny but I love me some cordelia ! So when Anya came along I felt that she was there to take over from cordelia’s character so I did not like her at first then I loved her too.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand?
I hated Dawn, spoiled brat…
What is your favorite female character?
I love them all; they are all strong independent and super funny. The variety is what makes this show great.
What is your favorite male character?
I must say spike. He was trying to impress a girl by doing good deeds; he even went along with no harming humans on a sub. He did things that angelus would not have done and all of that for personal gain but he did those things anyway and without a soul. He fought for the soul he was not course with it. Then I love Lorne, but he is on a different series.
What relationship did you “worship” the most?
Freaking Buffy and spike, if only the writers have give them the proper opportunity, he was worthy. But in terms of epicness well, angel + buffy.
and i rather see angel with cordelia they were amazing together.
Buffy’s soul mate?
All of the guys and girls (even if they were not lovers) she is been with, I do not believe that there is only one person for us.
Willow’s soul mate?
Again I do not know about soul mates but alas that was THE relationship (with tara) until stupid little insecure willow messed up.
Xander’s soul mate?
Unclear, I don’t know about him, he is so insecure and I cannot tell if it was true love what he felt for them (or what the writers create as love was something else).
Which death touched you the most?
Joyce’s death. Period I cannot see that episode without crying and I fear the moment that will happen in my life, maybe not in the same way but death...
What is your favorite season and why?
season 6, the way they handle buffy's return, all the pain and learning how to live with it.
What season did you enjoy the least?
4 but not entirely it was just Adam hate, lame ass freak of nature.
If you had to rank the seasons?
6-7-1-2-3-5-4
What is your favorite big bad?
Angelus with his twisted little mind and glory, I loved her to death I want this glory figure.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)?
7 and 5.
What is your favorite fight?
season 2 with angelus, Buffy an faith's repertoire, all of them actually.
i don't mind the weird stunt doubles, except in the last season, they showed smg's stunt double's face a lot.
Do you have one favorite episode?
Once More With Feeling is probably my favorite episode ever.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS?
that it is about something out worldly but it is not at the same time, we can relate to the metaphors and the inner context of it all and it is super funny too.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics?
i loved them i'm currently collecting the tpbs and all the angel stuff too. i will collect the ones from the dark horse presents and the one shot...

Real name? Khadejhia
How old are you right now? 16
What do you study/do for a living? High school
Place you are from? Oakland, CA
Place where you live now? Oakland, CA
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? Probably 3rd or 4th grade?
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I always liked it, but I didn't watch it everytime it came on. Definitely took me time to get into the obsessive state I'm in now, lol.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I would always watch with my dad when I was really young.. so I can't say what the FIRST episode I saw was. I do vividly remember a lot of Season 4 though, so I think that's when I really started paying attention.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? Innocence. I was so glued to my seat, and that's when I started watching 3 or 4 episodes a day.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Innocence and onward. BtVS is my favorite show ever. When I would watch season 5 though, I remember thinking to myself throughout, "this show is SO good." I'd have conversations with myself in my head about why it was so good lol.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? No, but season 6 was where the show started going downward. They redeemed themselves with season 7 though.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya or Spike.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I couldn't stand Kennedy whatsoever. Especially when she was leading the potential training in the backyard, and in Empty Places. Ughhhh she's so annoying. Rona too. And Dawn, but she got better a bit better after Season 5. I always hated when she'd do the "get out, get out, GET OUT!" thing.
What is your favorite female character? Buffy. I know a lot of people don't think she's one of the best characters, but she's always been my role model and I think she's amazing.
What is your favorite male character? Spike. He's so sexy! And funny. Spike's so cool. Spuffy all the way.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Spuffy. Bangel was a really ill-fated relationship, and Angel is so boring. I really think Spike loved her more.
Buffy’s soul mate? Spike
Willow’s soul mate? Tara
Xander’s soul mate? Anya
Which death touched you the most? Buffy's in The Gift. That's the only episode in the history of TV I've ever cried over. It's so sad! Also Joyce's, but that's mostly because The Body was such a good episode.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 5 definitely. Glory was the best Big Bad, The Gift and The Body were some of the best episodes, the last 4 episodes had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and I really liked how they dealt with Joyce's illness. To me, Listening To Fear is underrated. I love that episode, just because it's so creepy.
What season did you enjoy the least? Season 6... Willow's addiction thing was kinda boring (with the exception of OMWF and Tabula Rasa), and Buffy was making me mad cause she was in such denial about Spike. WHO CARES WHAT YOUR FRIENDS THINK. Seeing Red is one of my favorite episodes though, as well as OMWF.
If you had to rank the seasons? 5, 2, 3, 7, 4, 1, 6
What is your favorite big bad? Glory, definitely. She was so unpredictable, and you never knew when she was gonna snap someone's neck or break someone's knuckles because she'd be talking and just do it all of the sudden. She was the one that really scared me.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? The Gift! So much chaos, it had me glued to the computer (on DVDs).
What is your favorite fight? I always like when Buffy and Faith fight.
Do you have one favorite episode? No, too many to choose from.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? It's such a smart show. I love that people can write philosophy books about it. I love the many emotions it brings out, the symbolism, and the way it distracted me from all the bad things going on in my life.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Not as much as the TV show, but yeah. I've read them all except for the newest.

Wow, neat thread. Really enjoy reading everyone's responses. Real name? Kellie How old are you right now? 26 What do you study/do for a living? Graduated with my BA in psych back in May. Currently looking for a "real" job (it's tough out there right now). Plan to start grad school sometime in the near future, hopefully. Place you are from? The sunshine state - Florida Place where you live now? See above How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 15 Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I was hooked from the very beginning! Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Hmm, not sure...possibly something from S2, which is probably why it is my fave season still today! When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When everything in my life became about Buffy. LOL! My best friend in high school is the one who got me into the show in the first place and it was all we would ever talk about. Good times. lol. (We are still best buds today and we still talk about it. Guess Buffy really has the power to bring people together!). Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Pretty much from S2 onward, especially when things between Buffy and Angel started heating up! I remember back when Buffy reruns would come on I would record them on VHS tape, then when the first two seasons came out on DVD I asked for them for Christmas and got both of them (I was so excited!). From then on Buffy was all I wanted to watch. I still watch it quite a bit but don't have time to watch it everyday like I used to. lol. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Never. I think the show remained true to the stories and characters throughout! Which character gave you more laughs overall? That's a tough one. All the characters are really funny in their own right. If I had to choose though, I would probably say Anya or Xander. Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Warren and Kennedy. Hands down. Didn't like Rona either. Out of all the characters these are the only ones i couldn't stand. What is your favorite female character? Buffy. But I love Willow, Tara, Anya, etc. What is your favorite male character? Xander, Giles, Spike, Angel... What relationship did you “worship” the most? Bangel! Buffy’s soul mate? Angel! Willow’s soul mate? Tara. Although I really loved her with Oz, too. Xander’s soul mate? Anya! While Xander may have other relationships, I don't think he will ever care for or love anyone else as much as Anya. I do hope he finds lasting happiness eventually, though (which, let's face it, is hard to come by in the Whedonverse). Which death touched you the most? Joyce! Loved her character so much. Hated when she died! Best TV mom ever! I remember watching Buffy as a teen and thinking how much I wished Joyce was my mom. LOL! What is your favorite season and why? I really love them all, but I would say S2. The early (high school) years have a special place in my heart, and they make me feel all nostalgic b/c that's when I fell in love with the show. Watching S2 and 3 of Buffy take me back to my own HS/teen years, to a time when things were simpler in my life but I did not realize it at the time! LOL! So it's always nice to take that trip down memory lane with Buffy and the gang. Following S2 would probably be 7. I know it gets a lot of flack from fans but there is just something about it that I love. What season did you enjoy the least? I think all seasons are great in their own way, but if I had to choose I guess I'd go with 1. Only b/c it was the shortest season and they were in the process of trying to find their footing, who/what they were as a show, etc. I do enjoy it though. It had some great eps ("Angel" and "PG" come to mind). Plus, it is the season that started it all so you have to love it. It's classic Buffy! S6 also had some pretty cringe-worthy moments ("Seeing Red" immediately comes to mind), but also some really funny eps and character moments as well. In my mind there is really no such thing as "bad Buffy." 6-7 years later and it still one of the best things ever to grace TV, and in my mind miles better than half the crap we see on TV today. Buffy is timeless and classic and will maintain a fandom of old and new for generations to come. If you had to rank the seasons? Oh, this is tough - 2, 7,3, 5, 4, 6, 1 What is your favorite big bad? Angelus, The Mayor, The Gentlemen, etc. What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Becoming Part I and II will always have a special place for me, but really they are all great! Restless is a personal fave of mine as well. I wrote a paper on it in college. What is your favorite fight? Final battle in Chosen, Primeval Buffy defeating Adam (bad-ass!), Buffy/Faith fight in Grad Day, Buffy/Glory smack down in The Gift. Buffy Vs. Dark-Willow, Angelus Vs. Buffy in Innocence, etc., etc. (Can't pick just one!) Do you have one favorite episode? Oh god no. Too many to choose from! I really do love each and every one. Even the so called, "weaker" episodes. Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? Where to begin? Short answer, the writing, the characters, etc, etc,. Buffy is unlike anything else on TV ever! While there are many current shows I enjoy, nothing will ever compare to Buffy for me. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? I do. I am enjoying them as much as any other season of the show. At first I was worried, given the change in medium and the fact that I was unfamiliar with comics, whether or not the characters and stories would resonate with me as they did on the show, but immediately I realized that that was not going to be a problem at all. The witty dialogue and the same characters we have come to know and love over many years are still there, just in a different form. Reading the comics have made me laugh, cry, etc. I love Buffy so much that I don't care what medium it is in, I am just happy that there are more stories to tell and I get to spend more time with the characters I love. Can't wait for S9!

Real name? Hannah
How old are you right now? Fifteen.
What do you study/do for a living? High school.
Place you are from? KY.
Place where you live now? KY.
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? Seven or eight.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? My dad had borrowed the second season from his friend and at first I thought it was a scary movie (ha, I was 7 or 8) but soon, I really got into it.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? A 2nd season episode.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When me & my dad went out and bought the third season and started buying them from there.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Yes. I had just turned ten when my dad got the sixth season on DVD. We were down to the last disc and my dad had to leave. & He told me not to watch anymore til he got back. I couldn't wait so I watched them anyway.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? No.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Xander, Spike, "The Trio".
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Riley! Especially in the Yoko Factor.
What is your favorite female character? Willow willow willow. & Tara.
What is your favorite male character? Xander, Spike, Angel.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Buffy & Angel. Willow & Tara.
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Tara's. Joyce.& Buffy's simply because I was about nine when I watched it and Buffy was my hero.
What is your favorite season and why? Two. Because I love Bangel. It is an awesome season anyway.
What season did you enjoy the least? Seven, but it's still really good. I haven't watched it as much as I've watched the others.
& I don't see why everyone hates season one! That was a great season. Had to start somewhere!
If you had to rank the seasons? 2,6,3,4,5,1,7.
What is your favorite big bad? Dark Willow! & Haha, "The Trio".
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? They are all outstanding. I like the season six & four finale.
What is your favorite fight? Fight between Giles & Willow is awesome, to me. Buffy & Faith. Buffy & Master.
Do you have one favorite episode? No. I have many favorites. It's hard to choose. Restless, Hush, Storyteller, Puppet Show(don't ask), Band Candy, The Gift, OMWF, Tabula Rasa, Something Blue, Becoming Pt 1 &2.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I've liked it for so long now (about seven years). And I started watching it when I was real young. Buffy was my hero. And when I was eight I dreamed of becoming a slayer when I turned fifteen. I understood what was going on in the show at a young age. I was around nine when I watched season four and seen Willow & Tara together, I wasn't clueless and I knew what was going on. I love how real life issues are turned into supernatural metaphors. And gave the show a deeper meaning. The sense of humor is great. I honestly don't know where I'd be without the show. It's helped me in so many ways. Even when I was little, it was like an escape from the outside world. It still is. It's the only thing I can stay up all night watching and not get tired. I can relate to some of the situations and characters. I idolize many of them too. Buffy will always be one of my favorite shows no matter what.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Oh. My. Gosh. I'm such a Buffy nerd and I haven't read a single one. I am going to though. My dad bought the first ones. I will start reading them soon..

Real name?I don't like to use it online. But since a side effect of this question is revealing gender, I'll tell you that, which is male. How old are you right now?29. And planning to stay that way for at least another three years. What do you study/do for a living?Newspaper reporter and editor. Place you are from?Massachusetts. Although I also say I'm from Iowa, because that's where I lived last. Place where you live now?Michigan.
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode?28, since I'm guessing the 30 seconds I may have seen while channel surfing while it was in first-run doesn't count. Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it?I got into it pretty quickly. Do you remember the very first episode you watched?"Welcome to the Hellmouth." When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? Not sure, really. Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it?Not to that point, no. I did deliberately hold off on much of Season 7 so I'd have something to watch while I was on vacation last month. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? No. And, amazingly for a show that ran seven seasons, I don't think there's a single episode I would call bad. There are a few that I don't like all that much, like "Life Serial" and "Doublemeat Palace," but nothing bad. (Contrast that with, say, many of the Star Trek series, which tended to have at least one or two stinkers per season.) Which character gave you more laughs overall?Hm ... Spike? Xander? Not sure. Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Most of the Potentials. What is your favorite female character? For the sake of making these two questions more interesting, I'm going to disqualify the "core three." So in that case, Tara. What is your favorite male character?Again disqualifying the "core three," I'd probably go with Giles. What relationship did you “worship” the most?"Worship" sounds a little creepy, but I think Willow and Tara's relationship was the healthiest. Certainly both of them ended up with better, richer lives because of the other. (I mean, except for the whole Tara-ending-up-dead thing, which wouldn't have happened if she hadn't dated Willow, but...) Buffy’s soul mate?Hard to say. Not Spike, not Riley. Possibly Angel, though. Although I never cared much for the relationship while it was going on -- too much angst and misery -- their brief encounter in Season 7 made me wonder if it might work out somewhere down the road. Willow’s soul mate?Tara. Xander’s soul mate?Hm ... I think it might be Willow. That would be kind of sad for him, though... (Although I should add, to modify the last three questions, that I don't actually believe in the idea of soul mates.) Which death touched you the most? Both Tara's and Joyce's deaths affected me -- Tara because I loved the character, and Joyce because of how well the aftermath was executed. But the most touching death scene was probably Buffy's second death. Joyce's and Tara's deaths were sudden (and Joyce's didn't even happen on camera), but "The Gift" had a more drawn-out scene, made more powerful by the element of intentional sacrifice. What is your favorite season and why?Probably Season 5, because it contained so many powerful character moments. What season did you enjoy the least?Season 4. Oddly, Season 4 had some great standalone episodes, particularly "Hush" and "Who Are You," but the whole wasn't that great. If you had to rank the seasons?5, 7, 6, 3, 2, 1, 4. What is your favorite big bad?Which characters count as Bid Bads? If you're counting The Master, Spike/Drusilla, Angelus, the Mayor, Adam, Glory, the Trio, and the First Evil -- then probably Spike/Drusilla, with either Glory or the Mayor in second. What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)?Season 7. What is your favorite fight?Well, the final battle in "Chosen" was pretty damned impressive. Great soundtrack, too. A very epic feel. Do you have one favorite episode? Not really. A lot of the season finales were great. Of the non-finales, definitely "Hush" and "Once More, With Feeling." Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS?The series was the intersection of so many things going right -- a great concept; Joss Whedon being an extremely talented writer; great acting, particularly by Alyson Hannigan, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Anthony Stewart Head. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics?Haven't read them. Probably will at some point, although it could get expensive -- maybe I'll wait for the series to end and see if they release a big compilation volume. I don't think I'll enjoy them as much as the series, but I imagine they'll still be fun.

Real name? Valentina
How old are you right now? 22 years old.
What do you study/do for a living? I study international relations.
Place you are from? Lyon, France
Place where you live now? Boston, Massachusetts
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was about 12 and I was in 7th grade.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? First I started watching the show because my cousins were watching it and I wanted to be able to take part in their conversations and they seemed to be really into it. Although, I did enjoy it right away so I didn’t have to force myself to watch it. Also, I had to secretly sneak out of my room to watch the show because my mom considered I was too young to watch something about vampires and monsters. So it felt very dangerous, like I was watching an adult show or something.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I’m really not sure, I think it was at the beginning of Season 2 (those episodes were reruns already) and it might have been Inca Mummy Girl. Not positive though. I just remember calling my cousins the day after that to let them know that I had watched the show, so it must have been the first time.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? At the end of Graduation Day Part 1 when Buffy and Faith have this huge fight and then Buffy stabs Faith in her stomach and she lets herself fall on the truck that passes by. I went crazy and I had videotaped the episode so I just kept rewinding the fight and I watched it ten times in a row. Then I thought to myself “you’re such a freak, watching Faith die ten times”! Later I did the same thing with the first Buffy/Glory fight. I watched twenty times in a row. Couldn’t stop. I love it when Buffy gets her ass kicked.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? I did get over excited over the whole Dawn storyline. I thought that bringing a new character that never existed into the Buffyverse and pretending that Dawn had always been around was both bold and brilliant on the writers’ part. This is when I started claiming that BTVS was like no other TV show on Earth. Nothing compared. Absolutely nothing. And I started promoting the show around me, spreading the word, I just wanted everybody to watch. I could have spent hours arguing with any stranger that Buffy was the best thing that ever happened to mankind.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Nope, I did feel like season 4 didn’t have the best storyline but it still brought us amazing episodes and some of my favorite are from that season (Hush, This Year’s Girl, Who Are You, Restless…). So nope, I consider every season was definitely worth watching. Not to say a must-watch.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? It really is a tough call between Anya and Andrew. Cordelia, Harmony and Wesley were pretty funny themselves but wouldn’t make it to my top 2. Well, Harmony would on Angel. Anyway, Anya and Andrew are both hilarious but I think Andrew really stands out for all the geekiness and the awkwardness in Season 7. He really saved the season with his much needed humor.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I never was bothered by Riley, Dawn or Kennedy, unlike many around here. I didn’t care much for Spike but I had a hard time with the British characters. I was annoyed by all the bloodies and sod offs. I didn’t hate him though, even if he became useless and boring in season 7.
What is your favorite female character? Hard to tell between Faith and Willow, I love them both for different reasons but I guess I really got excited when Faith was on screen, so let’s say Faith.
What is your favorite male character? Andrew, all the way. Too much awesomeness going on with him. He cracks me up.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? I think that the Buffy/Angel relationship really is a classic and this is the one that really boosted the ratings in the first place. The Willow/Tara relationship was pretty intense though and made for a great season 6 finale.
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce’s death. Because we can all relate to it. It’s just a very simple, yet tragic death. Sad is the only word that comes to my mind and The Body is one of the most amazing Buffy episodes.
What is your favorite season and why? I think that season 5 is my favorite. For Dawn, for Glory, for Joyce. Oh and also because Riley left and I never was a fan of the character but when he actually left, I didn’t want him to leave anymore because the episode was so well written, when Buffy is running to stop him and he’s flying away in the chopper... for a few minutes I just stopped breathing.
What season did you enjoy the least? Probably season 4 with the whole Initiative thing going on. But we have to put things in perspective, technically I still loved it.
If you had to rank the seasons? 5-3-6-2-7-4-1 (season 8 is a different story with its comic format and it’s not over yet)
What is your favorite big bad? Glory, without a doubt. She was hysterical! The Mayor was pretty cool too.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? They’re all wicked! I can’t think of one season finale that I didn’t absolutely love. But the one with the biggest twist was probably the end of season 6. Dark Willow blew me away. I couldn’t get enough. Loved her fury. She just went mental for three episodes, nothing could stop her. And the most enjoyable part was when she suggested that Dawn should go back to being a little ball of energy. Not that I don’t like the character. I just like the idea.
What is your favorite fight? Not necessarily the final battle in Chosen… I think the one at the Summers, between Buffy and Faith just before they exchanged bodies. Wasn’t that fight awesome?
Do you have one favorite episode? Once More With Feeling is probably my favorite episode ever. I really liked Normal Again, The Wish, Storyteller… all the special episodes actually. But OMWF once again went where no other show could have gone.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I think I just loved that so many things were planned way in advance and that everything would fall into place a few episodes or even seasons later, especially between season 3 and 5. Everything was so perfectly planned and written. That’s what makes a show so great, it’s nice to know the writers know where they’re going.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Not as much as the TV show but I am glad BTVS is still going on so yeah, I do enjoy it. It’s a blessing to always have more Buffy storylines coming our way.
