(I'm sure this has been done billions of times but I hope this questionnaire covers it all)
Real name? Mathieu
How old are you right now? 22 years old.
What do you study/do for a living? I study international relations.
Place you are from? Lyon, France
Place where you live now? Boston, Massachusetts
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was about 12 and I was in 7th grade.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? First I started watching the show because my cousins were watching it and I wanted to be able to take part in their conversations and they seemed to be really into it. Although, I did enjoy it right away so I didn’t have to force myself to watch it. Also, I had to secretly sneak out of my room to watch the show because my mom considered I was too young to watch something about vampires and monsters. So it felt very dangerous, like I was watching an adult show or something.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I’m really not sure, I think it was at the beginning of Season 2 (those episodes were reruns already) and it might have been Inca Mummy Girl. Not positive though. I just remember calling my cousins the day after that to let them know that I had watched the show, so it must have been the first time.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? At the end of Graduation Day Part 1 when Buffy and Faith have this huge fight and then Buffy stabs Faith in her stomach and she lets herself fall on the truck that passes by. I went crazy and I had videotaped the episode so I just kept rewinding the fight and I watched it ten times in a row. Then I thought to myself “you’re such a freak, watching Faith die ten times”! Later I did the same thing with the first Buffy/Glory fight. I watched twenty times in a row. Couldn’t stop. I love it when Buffy gets her ass kicked.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? I did get over excited over the whole Dawn storyline. I thought that bringing a new character that never existed into the Buffyverse and pretending that Dawn had always been around was both bold and brilliant on the writers’ part. This is when I started claiming that BTVS was like no other TV show on Earth. Nothing compared. Absolutely nothing. And I started promoting the show around me, spreading the word, I just wanted everybody to watch. I could have spent hours arguing with any stranger that Buffy was the best thing that ever happened to mankind.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Nope, I did feel like season 4 didn’t have the best storyline but it still brought us amazing episodes and some of my favorite are from that season (Hush, This Year’s Girl, Who Are You, Restless…). So nope, I consider every season was definitely worth watching. Not to say a must-watch.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? It really is a tough call between Anya and Andrew. Cordelia, Harmony and Wesley were pretty funny themselves but wouldn’t make it to my top 2. Well, Harmony would on Angel. Anyway, Anya and Andrew are both hilarious but I think Andrew really stands out for all the geekiness and the awkwardness in Season 7. He really saved the season with his much needed humor.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I never was bothered by Riley, Dawn or Kennedy, unlike many around here. I didn’t care much for Spike but I had a hard time with the British characters. I was annoyed by all the bloodies and sod offs. I didn’t hate him though, even if he became useless and boring in season 7.
What is your favorite female character? Hard to tell between Faith and Willow, I love them both for different reasons but I guess I really got excited when Faith was on screen, so let’s say Faith.
What is your favorite male character? Andrew, all the way. Too much awesomeness going on with him. He cracks me up.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? I think that the Buffy/Angel relationship really is a classic and this is the one that really boosted the ratings in the first place. The Willow/Tara relationship was pretty intense though and made for a great season 6 finale.
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce’s death. Because we can all relate to it. It’s just a very simple, yet tragic death. Sad is the only word that comes to my mind and The Body is one of the most amazing Buffy episodes.
What is your favorite season and why? I think that season 5 is my favorite. For Dawn, for Glory, for Joyce. Oh and also because Riley left and I never was a fan of the character but when he actually left, I didn’t want him to leave anymore because the episode was so well written, when Buffy is running to stop him and he’s flying away in the chopper... for a few minutes I just stopped breathing.
What season did you enjoy the least? Probably season 4 with the whole Initiative thing going on. But we have to put things in perspective, technically I still loved it.
If you had to rank the seasons? 5-3-6-2-7-4-1 (season 8 is a different story with its comic format and it’s not over yet)
What is your favorite big bad? Glory, without a doubt. She was hysterical! The Mayor was pretty cool too.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? They’re all wicked! I can’t think of one season finale that I didn’t absolutely love. But the one with the biggest twist was probably the end of season 6. Dark Willow blew me away. I couldn’t get enough. Loved her fury. She just went mental for three episodes, nothing could stop her. And the most enjoyable part was when she suggested that Dawn should go back to being a little ball of energy. Not that I don’t like the character. I just like the idea.
What is your favorite fight? Not necessarily the final battle in Chosen… I think the one at the Summers, between Buffy and Faith just before they exchanged bodies. Wasn’t that fight awesome?
Do you have one favorite episode? Once More With Feeling is probably my favorite episode ever. I really liked Normal Again, The Wish, Storyteller… all the special episodes actually. But OMWF once again went where no other show could have gone.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I think I just loved that so many things were planned way in advance and that everything would fall into place a few episodes or even seasons later, especially between season 3 and 5. Everything was so perfectly planned and written. That’s what makes a show so great, it’s nice to know the writers know where they’re going.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Not as much as the TV show but I am glad BTVS is still going on so yeah, I do enjoy it. It’s a blessing to always have more Buffy storylines coming our way.

Real name? Joseph
How old are you right now? 22. I will be 23 in October.
What do you study/do for a living? I'm studying Fashion Illustration.
Place you are from? Upstate New York
Place where you live now? New York City
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was 13 years old! can't believe it was so long ago!
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I liked the first episode I saw and each episode after that got me more and more invested.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? "The Freshman"- Season Fours Premiere Episode.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? I know it's not like the biggest thing to happen on the show, but I had just started out with Season 4 & didn't expect Maggie Walsh to die but I freaked out when Adam stabbed her! I remember telling my sister like it was a huge thing! I think that event made me realize anything could really happen in the buffyverse.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Honestly, starting from the very first episode my interest steadily increased all the way up to the series finale. I never missed an episode after that. I didn't get UPN so with season 6 & 7 I had to have my friend tape it for me, but seasons 4 & 5, i was glued to the TV every tuesday @ 8. I was the same with Angel. I think Buffy dying in 'the gift' was also a big moment for me. I still think that whole storyline with her being resurrected as they switched to another station was brilliant.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Never.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya all the way!!! Cordelia is runner up.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? While I didn't really hate them that much, out of all the characters, I'd have to choose the trio. Warren, Jonathan & Andrew were mad cheesy.
What is your favorite female character? I honestly can't even begin to choose. Obviously, I love Buffy. Faith is a fascinating character study & she's badass. Willow I love for her spirit, she's always so sweet-okay not when she's juiced up on the dark arts & on a killing rampage but 99% of the time she's a sweetie. Joyce & Anya are also favorites-okay i've named basically every female main character. sorry
What is your favorite male character? Spike omg Spike. I can't even begin to describe my love for spike. He has an awesome back story(he was a sensitive poet before he was william the bloody!) . His character arc is amazing. He's interesting & funny & totally captivating in every scene he's in. I love him being part of the gang and protecting buffy & dawn. And on top of all of it, I'm sorry but he is DAMN sexy!!!
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Probably Buffy & Spike. I wasn't around for the Buffy/Angel stuff. Right when I started watching, Spike had gotten the chip in his head so he wasn't really as bad as he was in the earlier seasons. That was where buffy & spikes relationship began for me so you can imagine, I loved the journey they went through together seasons 4-7!
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? I know it was technically on Angel but Cordelias death in "Your Welcome" made me cry. I felt like I knew her & it was a real friend who died. Okay I didn't ball my eyes out but I felt genuine emotion.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 3! It embodies the show's golden years (Season 2 was amazing, but not as consistent episode to episode as season 3) and it's right before I started watching so it kind of fascinates me that much more (if that makes sense to anyone). Plus, we get Faith & Anya introductions & one of my favorite stories (alternate universe sunnydale in 'the wish' & 'doppelgangland'). Season 5 is my second pick for it's brilliant storyline & introduction of dawn. It is so epic and beautiful and well constructed. Season 4 holds a special place in my heart though b/c it was my first season and it brings me back to that time whenever I watch it.
What season did you enjoy the least? I have to say season 7. I think I liked it fine when I watched it as it aired, but going back & viewing it, it wasn't my favorite. But I don't think it's all bad.
If you had to rank the seasons? 3-5-6-2-4-7-1
What is your favorite big bad? Definitely Glory. She had awesome lines.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? I love the action element of the finales (especially seasons 3 & 5) but "Restless" is my favorite finale. It was different than not just every other finale, but every other episode! It is beautiful & fascinating. If you love the original core four scooby gang, I don't understand how this episode couldn't be one of your favorites.
What is your favorite fight? I'd have to say the fight with Glory in "the gift". I loved all the little things that happened. Glory ripping the buffybots head off, Buffy beating Glory with the hammer, Xander using the wrecking ball, Willow getting tara back, Giles killing Ben, The dragon!, buffy jumping to her death!
Do you have one favorite episode? Who Are You?
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I just love the characters & the stories.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Yes, I've been getting them a.s.a.p. since issue one (already 2 years ago!). I'll take all the Canon buffy stories I can get!

Oh thanks Rufio for taking my questionnaire!! You're the first one, I really appreciate it! I never get tired of reading other Buffy fans' thoughts on the show. Restless and Who Are You also are among my top 10. Awesome episodes. Thanks for sharing all this. We pretty much agree on everything except Spike! He is kinda hot, he has a fascinating backstory but his character never grew on me. Maybe it was the accent...

Real name? Jaclyn
How old are you right now? 25 years old.
What do you study/do for a living? Broadcast Media / Freelance Videographer
Place you are from? I was a military brat, so I've been all over.
Place where you live now? Maryland
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 13
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I absolutely loved it from the start. Of course I mostly liked it for all the action, it wasn't until I was older that I saw deeper levels to the show.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I caught the original pilot run, which was "Welcome to the Hellmouth" & "Harvest" aired as a two-hour TV event rather than two seperate episodes. It wan't until I watched the second run of the pilot (they showed it twice) that I even realized it was going to be a new show.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? I think I was pretty hooked early on. It was on at 9:00 on Mondays, which was past my bedtime, so I had to sneak down stairs and watch it on my Mom's tiny kitchen TV. I do remember when the show switched to Tuesday's at 8, which happened right as Angel lost his soul. I totally freaked...in a good way.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? I don't think I ever completely lost control, but when I found out that the WB decided to delay airing "Graduation Day: Part 2", I had a fit. I couldn't believe it and I can tell you that summer was so long. I had to watch old Buffy episodes I had taped to keep from flipping out.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? No not really.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? All the characters had lots of great funny moments, although I think Anya made me laugh the most. She was a riot and her bunny hatred never got old, in fact I think it only got funnier with time.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I really only had an issue with Kennedy. I didn't hate her, she was just way too bossy. I probably would have liked her better if we were shown a more sympathetic side to her.
What is your favorite female character? Willow hands down. I just instantly related to her.
What is your favorite male character? Well Angel & Spike were definitely great to look at, and they even had amazing backstories, but Xander wins this for me. I'm a lot like Xander. I'm a total goof ball who often says the wrong thing thinking it's funny.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? I kind of went with the flow as far as couple go, there were very few pairing I didn't like. If I had to pick one I'd say Willow and Oz. They were just so cute.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce’s death. I wasn't much of a crier in high school, but when "The Body" aired, OMG, I was so broken up.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 2 is my favorite. I just really liked the feel of the show. BTVS was really starting to take off in S2 and there were just so many epic moments.
What season did you enjoy the least? I have to say Season 7. The last season did have a lot of great episodes & moments, but the feel was kind of off for me. Kind of like the energy level dropped off. I still looked forward to seeing the show, but I guess I wasn't as siked to watch it as I had been with previous seasons.
If you had to rank the seasons? 2-4-3-5-6-1-7
Who is your favorite big bad? Angelus
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Restless. I really loved season 4 because it shook things up and took the scoobies in a new direction and "Restless" kind of summed up that year and really laid down ground work for Season 5. Plus it was just so well written and so beautiful to watch.
What is your favorite fight? Hmmm...the end battle in "The Gift" was pretty freaking awesome. Runner up though would have to be the Buffy/Angelus fight in "Becoming: Part 2". Angelus - "My boy Acathla here is about to wake up. You're going to Hell." Buffy - "Save me a seat."
Do you have one favorite episode? Once More With Feeling is EPIC.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? It's too late for me to add much. I just really love this show, and my affection for it only grows with time. The older I get the more I get out of the show. I can watch it over & over and still be entertained and surprised by something I didn't catch/understand before.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Yes. I don't know if I enjoy them as much as I did the show, but I do get a kick out of seeing my favorite characters live on and continue to fight the good fight.

Real name? Zoe How old are you right now? 18 What do you study/do for a living? Shop gal at the moment, uni in september! Place you are from? England Place where you live now? Still in England How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? When it first aired, so I think around 7/8. Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I loved it straight away! Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Yeah, Welcome to the Hellmouth and The Harvest. I was allowed to stay up late and watch it. I remember it being a huge deal at my school, everyone was really excited about it starting! When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? Probably season 2. Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Haha, never to the point of not controlling it. I remember at the end of season 6 though I was watching it with a friend and Giles came back and we went CRAZY! We were like jumping around screaming. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I never felt it "jumped shark". I thought it was a mistake Spike attempting to rape Buffy, as it was just a serious issue and I felt they just never gave it enough attention to such a serious thing. Which character gave you more laughs overall? Hmm, probably Anya. When the Scooby Gang were together though, they all had amazing one liners! Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I didn't like characters, but there was never a character I felt was not necessary for the story. What is your favorite female character? Probably Buffy, she is a hero! When I originally watched Buffy I loved Willow, but re-watching I would said my love for Buffy has grown. What is your favorite male character? Angel! Also loved Giles, especially in his unemployed bachelor stage. What relationship did you “worship” the most? BANGEL! This was defiantly part of the reason why I got into the show. Just the chemistry between these two was ELECTRIC! Buffy’s soul mate? Angel. Willow’s soul mate? Tara, I think these two were the couple that could have overcome anything apart from death... Xander’s soul mate? I don't think we have met her yet! I liked Anya and Xander, but I don't think they were soulmates. Which death touched you the most? Joyce was really upsetting, just for the simplicity of it. I also remember when I was like 8 and Buffy died in season 1 though and it really SCARED me. What is your favorite season and why? I would probably say season 2. I think the whole arc of the season with Angelus was so clever. Also liked the introduction of Oz and the start of Xander and Cordelia. What season did you enjoy the least? Its hard to say...I would probably say overall 7. Although, I have to say I think the finale of Buffy was brilliant and a really clever idea! If you had to rank the seasons? 2-3-6-1-4-5-7 What is your favorite big bad? Angelus, the leather trousers.... What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Becoming was amazing! I also really liked Chosen as I felt it was a great way to end the season (even if it continues later in season8...) What is your favorite fight? Becoming Angelus vs Buffy or Graduation Day Buffy vs Faith. Do you have one favorite episode? I loved Hush, I love scary episodes! Also, obviously Once More With Feeling as it was just brilliant. Then also Innocence. Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I would say the characters. Over the seasons I just grew to love all the characters. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Yeah, not as much as the TV show. I don't really like the more "fantasy" elements of the comic like those stupid tree monsters or Dawn being a giant. I think I liked that the TV show, although having monsters, seemed like the real world, I don't get that so much with the comics.

Real name Michael
How old are you right now? 22
What do you study/do for a living? I study Human Evolution and Behaviour
Place you are from? Southend-on-Sea, UK
Place where you live right now? Southend-on-Sea, UK
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was 12
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I started watching when it first aired in the UK on BBC2 and was hooked from the first double-episode. I watched it with my older sister every week and we bonded over it big time. I guess that's one of the reasons I love it so much.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Welcome to the Hellmouth
When did you first realise you were getting addicted to the show? I guess the first signs were when someone spoiled to me that Angel was a vampire and I was so pissed off. By that point, I already wanted any revelations to come from the tv screen alone.
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? I guess when it finished I just wanted more, and to satisfy that need have been buying Buffy merchandise ever since. Every so often I just need to have a new Buffy-related item in my life, so photographs, books etc are must-buys. My sister made me a copy of the fluffy yellow smiley-face bag that Willow uses in Season 2 because i loved it so much and couldn't find a retail version anywhere. It is my most prized Buffy possession!
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I would say 'jump the shark' is too extreme, but i do think that Season 7, including its finale, was not as good as what came before. Buffy herself became humourles, Anya and Giles feel redundant and the potential slayers just pissed me off.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? I'd have to go with Cordelia (in Buffy). Every line she has is gold.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I do have a bit of Dawn-rage. She was fine in Season 5, but after that every time she had a go at Buffy I would just jump out of my seat and scream at the tv "But she DIED for you, you ungrateful little bitca!" When she throws Buffy out of her house in Empty Places, I feel like strangling her.
What is your favorite female character? Buffy, hands down.
What is your favorite male character? Giles, especially his relationship with Buffy (which makes me cry) and with Xander (which I think is hilarious).
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Really hard to say, but favs were Xander/Cordelia, Willow/Tara, Buffy/Riley. This kinda answers the next three questions as well.
Which death touched you the most? The one that makes me cry the most, still, is Buffy's in The Gift.
What is your favorite season and why? S4 - I think it's the funniest season by far and as Dragonweaver says, it takes the show in such a new direction, allowing it to change beyond the high school formula. It also documents turnarounds in so many characters (Giles, Xander, Spike, Willow) that make it such a pleasure to watch.
What season did you enjoy the least? S7 - although there were some great individual episodes (Conversations with Dead People, Him, Storyteller, Lies My Parents Told Me) the overall arch didn't do it for me. I didn't like the introduction of the potentials, thought the First Evil was a terrible villain with no character (by definition), HATED how humourless and bitter Buffy herself becomes (christ, she cracks more jokes when she wishes she were dead the season before), and felt that several key characters became totally redundant (Giles and Anya particularly).
If you had to rank the seasons? 4-3-2-6-5-1-7
What is your favorite big bad? I've got three words to turn those frowns upside down: Mayor.Richard.Wilkins!
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? The end to S5 with Weight of the World followed by The Gift is just too epic for words.
What is your favorite fight? I like one-on-ones the most, so i'd go with Buffy/Faith in Graduation Day Part 1. Awesome!
Do you have one favorite episode? Restless - just a thrilling, funny, fascinating character study. Favourite moments: When Xander gets up after talking to Snyder, "I'm getting a cramp". I've never been able to watch Apocalypse Now again without smirking. Giles' song about the First Slayer: "I've got to warn Buffy, there's every chance she might be next! Xander, help Willow, and try not to bleed on my couch, I just had it steam cleaned!"
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS?
At the end of the day, I've just never felt so connected with a bunch of fictional characters. All the energy i invest in Buffy feels good and right and I love that feeling.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? I've only read the first collection of them - liked them and will have to read more.

Oh that's interesting that so far season 7 is everybody's least favorite season. I thought season 4 would be a tough call along with S7. Gungnome, as you put it, I think it's mainly due to The First that was a scary and powerful villain but had no personnality. He just stole dead people's personnality and in the end it got confusing, almost annoying.
Redhead, I'm totally with you on the comics. I loved the show because it felt real to me. In spite of all the vampires I could relate to it and identify myself with the characters, I could project myself into the stories. I mean we all lived in Sunnydale for seven years, right? But I'm not a fan of Giant Dawn and the tree people. It makes the whole thing too absurd and not realistic. But again, comic format, we have to adjust...
dragonweaver/gumgnome: I too love Restless and I'm glad to see it's so many people's favorite episode. This episode is a great piece of art. It has so many layers to it, you can watch it over and over again and still try to discover new things you hadn't noticed before.

Real name? Kelsey
How old are you right now? fifteen
What do you study/do for a living? High School...
Place you are from? Canada
Place where you live now? Canada
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 13
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? well, it was a few years after it had ended when my sister's friend (huge Buffy fan) came over to show my sister the show. i was in the room when they were watching it, and i loved it!
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? i think it was I Robot, You Jane...
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When i was yelling at my sister to go borrow season two from her friend
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? When i would babble on and on to my friends about it until they just walked away.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Nope. every episode has it's own special place in my heart.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Willow, Cordy, Andrew, Anya...y'know. everyone.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Dawn in season five. she got cooler in seasons six and seven. and i will never eer be able to not hate Kennedy. She makes me SO MAD!
What is your favorite female character? Willow, without a doubt. i'm also a huge fan of Faith, and of Tara, but Willow will always be in first place.
What is your favorite male character? I love Andrew a lot, and Oz because he's a real sweetie. but i think Andrew wins.
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Willow and Tara, forever and for always. I will ship Twillow until i die, or get murdered by a pack of Willoz shippers.
Buffy’s soul mate? Angel, without a doubt. I hate it when people are all like 'oh, Spike and Buffy were meant for each other!' no, Spike and Buffy were meant for passionate, destructive sex. they were never each others soul mates.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara. No way it can be anyone else, not with the reaction from Willow at Tara's death, or Tara's speech in Entropy or with any other moment. they were meant for each other.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya, because i doubt he and Cordy will be getting back together any time soon.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce and Tara, because they weren't supernatural, and it just hits you right in the face that they are never going to come back.
What is your favorite season and why? ummm...i like five because Buffy is without a man, and she gets to just be normal. Plus, Willow and Tara were all together and happy in that season, same with Xander and Anya. So i like that one for relationships, but i think season six is my favorite. As much as i mourn Tara's death, Dark Willow was just cool. Plus, with that season you get OMWF and the first half hour of Seeing Red, which are some of my favorite bits of TV.
What season did you enjoy the least? i think season one. not a lot happened there, and some of the episodes were a little random and weird.
If you had to rank the seasons? 6-5-4-3-7-2-1
What is your favorite big bad? I love them all, but i especially loved Spike and Dru, becasue i love their relationship. they were meant to be together. I also loved the Mayor, because he was just so darn pleasant, and Glory, because it reminded me of the old Cordy days. I also, unlike most people, enjoyed Adam. one of my favorite lines of his: "They will inevitably lead to chaos. And i am interested in chaos."
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? I loved every single one of them. Prophecy Girl's epicness, Becoming's heartbreaking sadness, Graduation Day's symbolicness, Restless's differentness, The Gift's geniusness, Grave's touchingness, Chosen's awesomeness, but i have to say Restless was my favorite, just because it's so cool!
What is your favorite fight? hmmm...i love any Buffy/Faith fight, and the Yoko Factor's big argument was fun, but i think Graduation Day, just because of it's cheesyness.
Do you have one favorite episode? Hush, Restless, OMWF, Life Serial, Grave, Entropy, Seeing Red (the first half hour), Grave, Storyteller, Chosen. there are a lot of gooders out there.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? the way it can do everything. make you laugh, make you cry, make you laugh till you cry. But my most favorite thing about it is that it's the only world where you can truly lose yourself in if your life sucks. Just watch Buffy, and then your crappy life is gone, and you're living one of awesomeness, with the scooby gang and adventures, and epic battles and what not. the Buffyverse just wraps around you in a big blanket and holds you there until you're ready to face your own life.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Not nearly as much as the show, but us wild fans have to get our fix somehow!

Real name?Rachel How old are you right now?16 What do you study/do for a living?Highschool at the moment, but I'd like to work in veterinary medicine. Place you are from?Alaska Place where you live now?Alaska How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode?I saw it on November 1st, 2007, and I was 15. Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it?Didn't like season 1 much, but I couldn't stop thinking about the show and I gave in and rented season 2. Do you remember the very first episode you watched?Yup, it was Triangle at my friend's house. When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show?Becoming Part 2. I needed to know if Angel was going to come back! Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it?It took me five days to watch seasons 5 & 6. LOL. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running?Actually, no. Which character gave you more laughs overall?Anya, definitely. Was there a character you really couldn’t stand?Riley. Grr, arrgh. What is your favorite female character? It's a total tie between Anya and Tara, I really can't decide. What is your favorite male character?Giles Giles Giles and did I mention Giles? What relationship did you “worship” the most? While I was watching seasons 1-3, I was utterly in love with Bangel. Then Tara entered the picture, and it will forever be Tillow ALL the way. Buffy’s soul mate?Angel. Willow’s soul mate?Hands down, TARA. Xander’s soul mate?Anya! Which death touched you the most?Oh, this is a toughie... either Joyce's or Tara's. What is your favorite season and why? It's a tie between seasons 5 & 6. Season 5 had a fantastic overall arc, and it was a great time for Tillow and Xanya. Season 6 was so wonderfully dark and angsty, with a large amount of memorable episodes. What season did you enjoy the least?Season 1. Urgh. If you had to rank the seasons?5=6 > 3=2 > 7 > 4 > 1 (Man, I am so indecisive.) What is your favorite big bad?The Mayor! Aww, he was so funny! <3 What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)?Becoming Part 2 and The Gift. I can watch those episodes over and over again, and still not get tired of them. What is your favorite fight?Argument-wise, the one between the scoobies in The Yoko Factor. "Fort Dix? -drunken laugh-" Physical-wise, the Buffy/Faith fight in Graduation Day. ^_^ Do you have one favorite episode?Besides the obvious, (OMWF, The Gift), it'd have to be Selfless or Family or Storyteller. (I can't pick just one! D:) Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS?It's the only show that I have ever fallen head over heels in love with. Every aspect is just so amazing, and it's incredibly easy to relate to. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics?TOTALLY! They're wonderful!

am I the only one who didn't start watching with season one? surprising. No I started watching during season 2, went on with season 3 and then went back to season 1 before watching season 4, or maybe it was before season 5. Basically I had missed the first season and only later did I get a chance to catch up on it.

Bored now, so I'm gonna make it Real name? Katherine How old are you right now? 17 years old. What do you study/do for a living? I'm in High school... Place you are from? Santiago, Chile Place where you live now? Still Santiago, Chile How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was about nine, my dad was watching it. Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I started watching the show because my dad was watching it and I liked being with him watching movies or tv series, mostly horror films, and like Buffy a little scary, I loved it, but I had bad dreams too...that vampires were creeppy at first (I was nine, ok? :broody: ); later, when I was 14, 'cause my mom always told me that Buffy isn't a show for kids so I stop of watching (moms...), I could Watch Buffy again and since then, well, I'm in a Buffy forum! Do you remember the very first episode you watched? The Puppet Show, I loved Sid When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When I NEEDED talking to someone about ways to kill Joss Whedon 'cause Buffy had ended. Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Every time when I see some bad tv series...wait, so I guess that every day. Maybe when I see something incredible like some Buffy figures. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? Let me see: Angel is alive...Dawn...Buffy die, but Willow made that spell...Nope, but it could happend, there was chances. Which character gave you more laughs overall? Buffy missunderstanding things, Xander too, he's just the best idiot in the world Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? not really, sometimes with comments from Spike or Kennedy, even from Buffy, but it's not like 'I HATE YOU'. What is your favorite female character? Buffy!! What is your favorite male character? Angel, man, he's brilliant (but Giles is more brilliant). What relationship did you “worship” the most? I think that the Buffy/Angel relationship was pretty intense. The perfect couple. Buffy’s soul mate? Angel. Willow’s soul mate? Tara. Xander’s soul mate? Anya. Which death touched you the most? Joyce’s death. just a masterpiece; everybody cried when she died. Jenny's death was touching too, poor woman, poor Giles when he found her. What is your favorite season and why? Season 2, 'cause it had everything, strong characters, strong plot, some of the greatest episodes and quotes and the best big bads: Angelus, Spike and Dru. What season did you enjoy the least? Season 6, I could'n believe the things that Buffy did an said. She broke my heart, really. If you had to rank the seasons? without season 8, 'cause is incomplete: 2-5-3-7-6-1-4 What is your favorite big bad? Angelus, he's hot, he's terrifying, he's insane, he's funny and he's bad. What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? this is hard, all the final episodes were incredible, even in season 4, I go with graduation day II, they blew up the school!! Angel Biting Buffy!! and The Mayor is a giant snake eating Snider!! WOW What is your favorite fight? Buffy vs Angelus and Buffy vs Faith (graduation day) Do you have one favorite episode? Innocence, just awsome. Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? Whedon made a story of real people with real problems in a fantastic world. The best part is that the Grew up with us, learning about life and everything. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? until now, it's an interesting plot, but all depends in how it ended. So far, I'm loving the new characters and the Buffy arc, she's really in troubles...no just with humanity, but with herself.

Facsinating! Almost everybody thinks the Buffy/Faith fight in Graduation was the best! No wonder though... That scene was legendary. This is why Buffy is so great, all the tension building up and culminating during a season to lead us up to a breathtaking showdown in the end.

Real name? Ryan How old are you right now? 15 years old (16 on May) What do you study/do for a living? I am at high school studying GCSE level Irish, English, English Literature, Art, Media Studies, Double Science, Maths and ICT. Place you are from? Derry, Northern Ireland Place where you live now? Derry, Northern Ireland How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? Probably around 8 or 9. 2002 Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I dont think that I didnt like it, although I did not watch it often. Main reason is that I was only around 9 and therefore did not understand alot of what was happening. Buffy is more of a teenager and upwards aimed show and therefore alot of the themes I did not understand. Do you remember the very first episode you watched? The first episode I watch... I think was 6x01: Bargaining Part1. I actually found it kind of scary seing as I was so young. When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? I didnt get addicted (infact I didnt even watch the show regularly) untill 2007. I was addicted to Charmed and because that was over I bought the season one Buffy boxset. I was hooked. I then got the complete DVD collection and have watched it over and over. I now have most of the comics and I am getting the Angel DVDs for my birthday . Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? When I got the complete collection I watch 5 episodes everynight. It didnt stop when I seen them all. I went back to season one and did it all over again. Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I think that it was all good, great, AMAZING throughout. No matter what Joss did he never made the show crap. Although Buffy and Angel Started to do my head in. Which character gave you more laughs overall? Season one - three I loved Cordellia. I loved the fact that she said what everyone was thinking... although after she left Anya did a good job filling in. So yes, Cordellia and Anya were really funny. Many unforgettable laughs from both of them. Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Kennedy is probably the only character I never like. I loved everything in season seven except for her. If she wasnt in it season seven would have been my favourite. I dont know why but I really cant stand he attitude. I also think she moved in on Willow way to soon. No one will ever take Taras place. Also I didnt like the way Kennedy spoke to Buffy sometimes. What is your favorite female character? I loved willow in the earlier seasons, liked willow in the later seasons. Favourtie would have to be either Willow or Dawn. What is your favorite male character? Angel. Supper hottie And Andrew, cool, funny guy lol What relationship did you “worship” the most? Willow and Tara. Loved the two of them together. I cried when Tara left because of Willow using too much magic, cried when Tara died in Willows arms. Also like the whole Buffy and Spike thing. Like Buffy and Angel but they sorta dragged it way too long. Buffy’s soul mate? Angel Willow’s soul mate? Tara Xander’s soul mate? Anya Which death touched you the most? Also Taras death and Anyas death were so sudden. Only Joss could kill of great characters so easily and shock everyone. What is your favorite season and why? Thats a tough one. Probably season three. They are all so innocent and we get to see them grow up a bit. Also season four as we get to see them grow up alot. Also season one, two, five, six and seven lol. What season did you enjoy the least? Another tough question. Must be season two. Too dark, dreary and sometimes kind of boring. If you had to rank the seasons? 3-4-7-5-6-1-2 What is your favorite big bad? Glory. Amazing Idea. Also love the Mayor but Glory is better. What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? They are all amazing but season six does it for me. We get to see a different side to Willow. Up untill season six it has always been little reliable, sweet, kind Willow, but not in season six. Love the whole magical side to Buffy and season six is based all arounf this. The whole storyline was very well done and has been brewing since season five. What is your favorite fight? Chosen is the best fight withoout a doubt. Do you have one favorite episode? Nope. I cant answer this question. The best I can do is say that my favourite episode from the earlier seasons only is Witch. Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? It is a show that will live on forever. Joss basically made a show that could be added to or continued at any time. Its a whole Buffy Universe. There could be a new Buffyverse series or movie at anytime. This year, next year, ten years time, because there is always going to be new slayers. Theres also an entire history of Slayers from the begining of time that could ebe focused on. Basically Buffy isnt just one charcter. Its and entire universe. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Not as much as the TV show but its better than nothing. Glad they continued the story in some format. Im not a big fan of the thousands of Slayers. I dont think the show should have ended that way

Real name? Lee How old are you right now? 23 What do you study/do for a living? I do fingerprints and photos for Visa ID cards Place you are from? Liverpool, UK Place where you live now? Same place lol How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was 13 Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I initially thought it was the original movie but was glad when it was on the following week. I liked it because it was different to other shows Id watched Do you remember the very first episode you watched? Yep, It was Welcome to the Hellmouth and Harvest When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? I think when I started printing pictures out of SMG and the cast and sticking them on my wall, then begging my mum to get cable TV because Sky One was showing more Buffy Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Id say the entire run of the show hahaha. I remember when Id tape a new ep and then Id watch it like 10 times before the next new ep the following week Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? During season 4 onwards I became a total spoiler whore so I knew what was coming. But I guess if I wasnt aware of the dark turn of Spuffy in S6 I feel like I may have wavered which I feel bad about Which character gave you more laughs overall? Probably Anya, Cordelia or Giles. Ive only became aware of Giles' many amazing lines during my current watch through Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Kennedy! The fact she was a bitch towards Buffy makes me loathe her with a passion. I also couldnt stand Forest or Maggie. What is your favorite female character? Buffy all the way. I just love her to death What is your favorite male character? Giles  What relationship did you “worship” the most? Tara/Willow. Theyre my fave Buffyverse couple. Too bad it had to end Buffy’s soul mate? I would have said Spike but I havent been enjoying S6 much this time so Im gonna go with Angel Willow’s soul mate? Tara without a doubt Xander’s soul mate? Anya I guess Which death touched you the most? Although Joyce's death was so sad, Id have to say Tara. She's like my 2nd favourite character and it was awful seeing her die and then seeing Willow at the end of Grave with Xander was heartbreaking! What is your favorite season and why? Definately S5. I love all of it. The whole key storyline, Buffy's focus on her slaying. Willow/Tara, Xander/Anya What season did you enjoy the least? Definately 6 this time If you had to rank the seasons? 5, 2, 4, 7, 3, 1, 6 What is your favorite big bad? Glory What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? I love lots of the finales but I will have to go with The Gift or Chosen What is your favorite fight? Hmmmm I love the whole glory/buffy tower fight a lot Do you have one favorite episode? I couldnt just pick one but a few contenders are The Prom, The Gift, Chosen, Passion Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? The characters. Theyre relatable and you care for them. You could stick on a random ep and completely relate to them. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Not as much as the s how. A lot of it is far fetched and definately wouldnt happen if the show was still on air.

Real name Lee
How old are you right now? 23
What do you study/do for a living? I'm an Art/Illustration student, as well as freelance special effects makeup artist and sales assistant. Phew!
Place you are from? Liverpool, England.
Place where you live now? Liverpool, England... sadly.
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? Oh lord, let me think, it was 1998 so that made me.... 12.
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I liked the show practically from first viewing. Since the first episode I made an effort to tune into the next one, which knowing me, is a stretch, believe me.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? It was either Teacher's Pet or Never Kill A Boy On The First Date
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? After around 4 or 5 episodes, when I started asking everybody I knew in school whether they watched the show, which was always a resounding no. : (
Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? A few times, to the point were I would obsess and investigate insignificant details, such as trying to put in order the Slayer line and the Slayers who had came before Buffy.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I feel that it did lose some of its spark in the later 2 seasons, but I would still class those seasons as way above other television shows, so no.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Giles ♥
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? I had a dislike for Jonathan since the beginning, which went into overdrive after Superstar. Then during Season 6 the dislike drifted away from Jonathan and onto Warren. Gah.
Who is your favorite female character? Willow for simply being Willow, and Faith for her incredible arc.
What is your favorite male character? Giles
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Willow and Tara were just wonderful.
Buffy’s soul mate? ANGEL. At least out of the guys we saw. Who knows, he may still be out there.
Willow’s soul mate? Tara
Xander’s soul mate? I don't know actually. Even though they were to be married, they just never seemed... right to me. Personally, I liked Xander and Cordelia out of Xander's relationships, but I don't know if I would say Cordy was his soulmate. She is still out there, methinks.
Which death touched you the most? Joyce was a huge one, impact wise. I miss Tara the most, and feel I would've had more of a reaction to her death if it was focused on a little more like Joyces.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 4, if only because it has my most favourite episodes in. Though I didn't like the whole Initiative/Adam schtick.
What season did you enjoy the least? 7, if only because it felt the season had no real dynamic. At the root it was the same formula every episode; new potential = drama + some insignificant storyline. Plus I felt like we kinda lost Buffy, again (S6).
If you had to rank the seasons? 4, 3, 2, 1, 5, 6, 7
Who is your favorite big bad? Hmmm, Angelus maybe? I've never really settled on one. Let's say Faith. Does she count?
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Becomings.
What is your favorite fight? Willow vs Glory in Tough Love. It was a suicide mission, but it was so relatable, so full of passion and grief.
Do you have one favorite episode? It's a tie between Pangs, A New Man and Something Blue, simply because they give me lots of lols.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? It's a sham... with yams? It's a yam sham!
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Pretty much, no. They just don't feel like the show at all. They feel like the writers are on acid trips as they write them.

Real name? Sarah How old are you right now? 16 years old. What do you study/do for a living? I'm a high school student Place you are from? Waukegan, Illinois Place where you live now? Gurnee, Illinois How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? I was 4 years old (i know that's really young i used to watch a lot of WB shows with my mom when i was little.) Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I liked it b/c of the monsters & stuff (my most vivid memory of watching Buffy when i was little is of watching Hush when my friend was over & i thought The Gentlemen were so awesome but my friend started crying and went & hid in the hallway because she was so scared ) Do you remember the very first episode you watched? I'm pretty sure I watched Buffy from the beginning. If I didn't though, I remember FOR SURE watching Hush. When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? When I re-watched the show a couple years ago, I realized I was addicted after Prophecy Girl. (I can't remember much from when I first watched it.) Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? Once Buffy and Spike got together Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? No. There are episodes that aren't amazing, but a non-amazing episode of Buffy still seems to be better than most episodes of other tv shows! Which character gave you more laughs overall? Andrew! Was there a character you really couldn't stand? Kennedy, Riley at first, and sometimes Dawn What is your favorite female character? Faith or Anya What is your favorite male character? Spike <3 What relationship did you worship the most? Spuffy all the way! Buffy's soul mate? Angel. Willow's soul mate? Tara. Xander's soul mate? Anya. Which death touched you the most? Joyce's death because The Body is one of the greatest Buffy episodes. What is your favorite season and why? This is a tough question for me, but I think my favorite is season 2 because of the whole Bangel storyline plus it had some really great episodes overall. What season did you enjoy the least? Season 4 If you had to rank the seasons? 2-6-3-5-7-1-4 What is your favorite big bad? Dark Willow because she was so flippin' awesome What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? Becoming pt. 2 What is your favorite fight? Buffy & Angel before she killed him in season 2 Do you have one favorite episode? Once More With Feeling Finally, what would you like to add? What's so special about BTVS? The writing is better than almost all other shows I have seen. Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? I enjoy them, but not as much as the show. I think they're ok...

Real name? Erica
How old are you right now? 22 big ones.
What do you study/do for a living? I am a nursing student/study Russian/work as a server :fail:
Place you are from? Southwest Missouri/SW Michigan
Place where you live now? Pittsburgh, PA
How old were you when you watched your first Buffy episode? 11!
Did you like the show right away or did it take time for you to get into it? I caught the tail end of Becoming Part II and was taken with it. Obvi there weren't any new episodes for a little bit, but I was a rebel and started watching the season 2 reruns while my mom wasn't home. She thought it was too scary but I think it just made me braver, in a way. She eventually gave in and let me and my brother watch it. By the beginning of Season 3, I was definitely 100% into it.
Do you remember the very first episode you watched? First full episode? No clue. But like I said, I watched Becoming Pt II.
When did you first realize you were getting addicted to the show? I was a spoiler-geek. I would go on Buffy.com like 10 times a day and read the posting boards, hoping for any bit of information. I remember looking at all of the old crappy websites and then I tried to make my own. Then I started to just buy all the Buffy stuff that I could(with my 11/12 year old allowance at the time) and it was love. Were there any other specific times when you felt like your interest for the show kept increasing, even to a point where you could no longer control it? When I started watching the show again, for the 2nd time. I moved right after the 4th season was over, so I never got to see 5-7 air in real time. I got motivated to watch it again after a professor lent me her seasons in 2007 and I got so into it again. It was all that I wanted to watch and all I could pretty much think about.
Do you feel like the show ever jumped the shark at some point over its seven years of running? I didn't feel that it did that over a long run; there were just episodes that...WAIT. The alien episode. Listening to Fear. An Alien? Really? pshhhh.
Which character gave you more laughs overall? Anya, overall.
Was there a character you really couldn’t stand? Dawn. ahh get rid of her!
What is your favorite female character? Buffy!
What is your favorite male character? Major tie between Spike & Giles. Giles is just so...awesome and smart and I'm jealous of his archaic knowledge. Go Giles!
What relationship did you “worship” the most? Spuffy.
Buffy’s soul mate? Unfortunately, Buffy realized it too late, and Spikey went kapoof. So, I'd go with Angel, because it is from her POV. Willow’s soul mate? Tara, 100%.
Xander’s soul mate? Anya.
Which death touched you the most? Big tie b/t Jenny and Buffy. Passion is my #1 favorite episode and it touches me in so many ways, with the different levels of sorrow and grieving that they all go through. But in The Gift...Buffy's death affects everyone so deeply. It makes me bawl.
What is your favorite season and why? Season 2. I love the Angelus storyline, the battles, the sudden deaths. Buffy had to grow up then and it was really fascinating to watch. The music was the best as well. What season did you enjoy the least? Big bad wise? Initiative. S4 was ehhh.
If you had to rank the seasons? 2-5-3-6-4-7-1 What is your favorite big bad? Angelus.
What is your favorite episode finale (or final arc of a season)? My favorite is a tie b/t S5 & S2. To see Buffy really not being able to handle a big bad was so heartbreaking and it stressed me out! But I <3 S2. What is your favorite fight? Oh gosh.... The stunt girl who replaced Sophia Crawford was so much more awesome in S5 onward...there's a thing in Beer Bad where Buffy kicks two vamps at the same time, that's awesome. The sword fight in Becoming is badass... I enjoy the fight of Willow v Buffy in the magic shop. It's gratifying to see Buffy get her ass kicked, even if I love her.
Do you have one favorite episode? Passion.
Finally, what would like to add? What’s so special about BTVS? I love Buffy so much. It's inspirational yet real without being pushy. I adore the writing, the characters, the pain. Joss likes to reign on with the pain and I can really relate to it.
Do you enjoy the Season 8 comics? Ehh they're ok. NFFY was my favorite arc. I hope things get better when Oz arrives. But more Buffy is better than no Buffy, so rock on.
